Almond United Methodist Church with Reverend David

First Belmont cemetery. Visitation will be on Weds.
morning from 9 AM until the time of services at the
church.

Vivian L. DeBruin, age 93, of Almond, WI, passed
away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Stevens Point Care
Center in Whiting. Vivian was born in Delavan, WI
on October 4, 1914, the daughter of the late
George R. and Lila P. (Count) Jones. On February
20, 1937, Vivian was united in marriage to Gilbert
DeBruin in Kenosha, WI and he preceded her in
death on March 13, 1986. Vivian & Gilbert owned
and operated the Blaine Store from 1960 until
retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Barbara
Rebekah Lodge and the Almond United Methodist
Church. Vivian is survived by her children:
David (Deb) DeBruin of Tucson, AZ; Judy (Frank)
Eastman of Almond, WI and Betty Jane (Bob) Rasico
of Kenosha, WI; Nine grandchildren; Nineteen great
grandchildren and Ten great great grandchildren:
her sisters: Mary Weaver of Bartlett, IL;
Roberta Uphill of Copperas Cove, TX and Dorothy
(Ed) Thomas of Palma, MT; her brothers: Vernon
Hansen of West Palm Beach, FL; Ralph Jones of
Kenosha, WI; Jerald Hanson of Kenosha, WI and
Raymond Hanson of Kenosha, WI. Vivian was
preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert, her
parents, and infant son and daughter, a step son,
Donald, two grandsons, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral Service will be on Weds, July 2 at 11 AM
at Almond United Methodist Church with Reverend
David Leistra, officiating. Interment will be in
the First Belmont cemetery. Visitation will be on
Weds. morning from 9 AM until the time of services
at the church.

Mr. Charles A. Gunderson, age 69, of Waupaca,
passed away Sunday, June 29th, 2008 at his
residence with his family present. Charles was
born in Wautoma, Wisconsin on October 14, 1938,
he was the son of the late Justin and (Cora
Selsing); (Agnes Hesness) Gunderson. On June 15,
1963, he married Naomi LaNae Burrows in Wausau.
He attended First Baptist Church Waupaca,
Wisconsin. Chuck was owner and operator of Waupaca
Auto Supply for 39 years. He retired July 8th
2003.

He is survived by his Wife: Naomi Gunderson,
Waupaca; Sons: John (Tara) Gunderson, Weyauwega;
Mark (Heather) Gunderson, Waupaca; Brothers:
Jerry (Dorothy) Gunderson, Milwaukee; Dean
(Sandra) Gunderson, Richfield; David (Delores)
Gunderson, Wautoma; James (Donna) Gunderson,
Wautoma. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren:
Chelsea, Mitchell, Justin, Joshua and Bjorn. He
was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers:

Mary's cremains will be in Lakeside Memorial Park in

Mary J. Martin, age 88, of Waupaca, WI, passed
away Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Wisconsin Veterans
Home. Mary was born in Clintonville, WI on
January 9, 1920, the daughter of the late Julius
and Belle (McDonald) Spearbraker. On February 15,
1941, Mary was united in marriage to Robert A.
Martin Sr. in Clintonville and he preceded her in
death on May 29, 1989. Mary is survived by her
sons: Jeff (Susan) Martin of Waupaca and Robert
A. Martin Jr. of Waupaca. Three grandchildren:
John (Tina) Martin; Christopher Martin and Zackery
Martin and three great grandchildren: Braiden,
Alianna & McKenzie. Mary was also preceded in
death by her parents, a son, James on April 3,
1977 and a sister, June Zwickey. A Memorial
Service will be held on Saturday, July 5 at 11 AM
at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend
Barry Shaw, officiating. Interment of Mary's
cremains will be in Lakeside Memorial Park in
Waupaca.

Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI on Monday,
July 7, 2008 at 12:00 PM, with Father Brian
Belongio, Celebrant. Interment will be in the St.
Mary Magdalene Catholic cemetery in Waupaca. Friends
may call at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in
Waupaca on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until noon.
A memorial has been established in the name of Earl
C. Breunig. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is
assisting the family with arrangements.

Age 76 – died peacefully on Wednesday, July 2,
2008 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI after a 10
month battle with cancer. He was born on November
7, 1931 in Waunakee, WI, the son of Reynold and
Viola (Blum) Breunig. He married Virginia M.
Liegel on November 6, 1950 in Baraboo, WI. She
preceded him in death on March 15, 2004. They had
been married for 53 years.

Earl is survived by his children; Dennis (Pat)
Breunig of Waunakee, WI, Jeff (Myra) Breunig of
Athol, ID, Kathy Kuchenbecker of Madison, WI,
Laurie (Greg) Regge of Garden Prairie, IL, Sheri
Finch of Madison, WI, and Robin (Paul) Hasenberg
of Sun Prairie, WI, grandchildren; Nick and Dan
Breunig, Chris and Emily Kuchenbecker, Sarah and
Michael Regge, David and Zach Finch, and Alex and
Ashton Hasenberg, sisters; Gerry (Don) Dahmen,
Louise Eckstein, Diane (Gene) Zander, and Judy
(Stan) Rauls, and brothers; Leon (Karen) Breunig
and Dale “Butch” Breunig. He is further survived
by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
friends. Earl was preceded in death by his wife;
Virginia, his granddaughter; Christina Marie
Regge, his parents; Reynold and Viola Breunig, a
brother; Larry Breunig, and a brother-in-law;
Jerry Eckstein.

Earl was a member of the St. Mary Magdalene
Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI. He had served in
the U.S. Air Force from October 26, 1950 until he
was honorably discharged on September 25, 1954. He
had been employed as an insurance agent with the
American Family Insurance Company for about 25
years. Earl loved music and had played in a
country/western band called Funky Country for 35
years, performing at many different types of
functions with dozens of musicians. After moving
to Waupaca, Earl and Virginia performed together
and were known as Half-A-Band, performing at
nursing homes in the area. He brought music into
the lives of his children and inspired a life-long
love of music. He was an avid Johnny Cash fan. He
enjoyed bowling and playing cards. He did
everything he could to take care of his wife
during her last seven years as she struggled with
progressive supranuclear palsy, a very
debilitating disease.

A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary
Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI on
Monday, July 7, 2008 at 12:00 PM, with Father
Brian Belongio, Celebrant. Interment will be in
the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic cemetery in
Waupaca. Friends may call at St. Mary Magdalene
Catholic Church in Waupaca on Monday morning from
10:00 AM until noon. A memorial has been
established in the name of Earl C. Breunig. The
Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the
family with arrangements.

Victor A. Borowitz

at St. Edward's & Issidore Catholic cemetery in
Flintville, Brown County, Wisconsin.

Mr. Victor S. Borowitz, age 89, of King , passed
away Sunday, June 8th, 2008 at the Wisconsin
Veterans Home. Mr. Borowitz was born in Green
Bay, Wisconsin on July 17, 1918, he was the son
of the late Antone and Dorothy (Wertel)
Borowicz.

On June 5, 1945, he married Dolores Helen
Laskowski in Santa Anna California. He served in
the U.S. Marines as a Master Tech/SGT in World War
II.

He is survived by his Wife: Dolores Borowitz,
Green Bay; Son: Wayne Borowitz, Green Bay;
Daughters: Mary Lee Borowitz, Minneapolis, MN;
Doreen (Mike) Ireland, Kelly Lake, WI; Son in law:
Jeff Peters, Suamico. He is also survived by 4
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a
Daughter: Christine M. Peters. Interment of
cremains will be held at a later time at St.
Edward's & Issidore Catholic cemetery in
Flintville, Brown County, Wisconsin.

Artie Hamm

A Memorial Service will be held at the Holly Funeral
Home in Waupaca at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 26th,
2008, with Pastor Jeffrey Fletcher, officiating.
Interment of cremains will be in the Crystal Lake
cemetery Town Dayton, Waupaca Co. Memorial
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4 until 8
PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and on
Tuesday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at
the funeral home. A memorial has been established
in the name of Artie Hamm.

Artie L. Hamm, age 67, of Scandinavia, WI., passed
away on Monday, August 18th, 2008 at Appleton
Medical Center in Appleton. He was born in
Waupaca on May 9, 1941, a son of the late Herbert
and Jennie (Newsome) Hamm.

Artie married Nancy Johnson on October 29, 1966
in Waupaca. He was a member of Crystal Lake
United Methodist Church. Artie was a member of
the Waupaca Co. Fair Board. He enjoyed farming,
antique tractors and was an avid fan of tractor
pulls. Artie loved spending time with his
grandchildren. Artie also loved to meet anywhere
there was a gathering and shoot the breeze with
anyone that would care to listen.

Survivors include his Wife: Nancy Hamm,
Scandinavia, WI; Children: Gerry (Jeremy) Martens,
Waupaca, WI; Steve (Mary Jo) Hamm, West Bend, WI;
Grandchildren: Conner Hamm, West Bend, WI; Molly
Martens, Waupaca, WI; Brothers: John -Jack-
(Rebecca) Hamm, Waupaca, WI; Jim Hamm, Waupaca,
WI; Tom (Carol) Hamm, Weyauwega, WI; Uncle: Harold
Newsome, Waupaca, WI. He is further survived by
many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
