Bill joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UWSP) in 1968. Under the leadership of his department chair, Albert Croft, Bill was instrumental in developing one of the nation’s first comprehensive communication studies programs. His many contributions helped the program become one of the largest and most successful majors at UWSP. Bill and Grace led UWSP’s semester abroad program to Australia in 2001 and to New Zealand in 2007.
