Nancy Ann Kosloske-Wehrmann

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 11, 2011, angels wrapped their loving arms around Nancy Ann Kosloske-Wehrmann and guided her to her heavenly home after her courageous battle with leukemia.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Shuda Funeral Chapel in Stevens Point. Lee Tritz will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel from 11 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial will be established in her name at a later date. Nancy, the daughter of the late Ralph and Leona (Neldner) Jaroch, was born March 27, 1942, in Milwaukee. She received her education there, and attended the New Road School, Holy Apostle School, and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1960. After graduating, Nancy worked at AC Spark Plug Co. as a secretary. It was during this time she met Raymond Kosloske.

Nancy and Raymond were united in marriage June 10, 1963, in New Berlin. After their marriage, the couple lived in South Milwaukee and began to raise their family. They moved to Rosholt in 1964 and built their home on Tree Lake Road. This continued to be her home to the present time. Nancy's career spanned many years in the medical office profession, working for several doctors in the Stevens Point area. During this time, their children were attending schools in Rosholt. Nancy and Raymond hosted foreign exchange students from Brazil, Mexico, Guatemala and Finland. This introduced new cultures and customs to them, their children and classmates, as well. In return, their children traveled to these countries to visit with the students and their families. In 1983, Nancy and Raymond traveled to Brazil to attend Carnival. They spent six weeks visiting and learning about Brazil. They also spent time in Mexico City.

In addition to visiting her students, Nancy also traveled to many states, her favorite city being Sedona, Ariz.

Nancy enjoyed a variety of activities in her life. She played softball and tennis, bowled, cross-country skied, ice skated, and golfed.

Creativity was also an important part of her life. Nancy decorated wedding cakes, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making quilts, and cross stitching and many other crafts, which kept her busy when she wasn't able to be outside working in her flower gardens. Pets were an important part of her life, beginning with the two cats she and her brother shared during their childhood. She later had several schnauzers and cats, and leaves behind her bichons. In 1991, Raymond was stricken with cancer, and for the next year, Nancy lovingly cared for him. Raymond passed away Aug. 23, 1992.

On Oct. 24, 2004, Nancy married Norbert Wehrmann surrounded by the beauty of Sedona, Ariz. After her retirement, the couple enjoyed traveling and exploring the scenic back roads of the western United States. Cheering on the Green Bay Packers and watching NASCAR races filled their weekends. Nancy found herself at peace working in her flower gardens that provided endless beauty throughout the year.

In her retirement, she also volunteered at the Holly Shoppe in the Lincoln Center. She worked the annual plant sales and various other projects as well. A project close to her heart was the Care Wear program, where she knitted blankets, jackets, hats and booties for premature babies. Illness was to challenge her, and she faced it with grace and dignity, taking great comfort in her faith. Her unwavering strength through the ravages of chemotherapy was an inspiration to all who knew and cared for her.

Holding precious memories are her husband, Norbert of Rosholt; children, Jeffery Kosloske of Des Moines, Iowa, Jennifer (Lawrence) Huff of Stevens Point, and Michael (Jackie) Kosloske of Des Moines, Iowa; stepchildren, Dawn (Don Pfeifer) Wehrmann of Elkhart Lake, and Ryan (Brooke) Wehrmann of Austin, Texas; brother, Richard (Rita) Jaroch of Wisconsin Rapids; and daughter-in-law, Tammi Kosloske of Rosholt. Lovingly missing Nanna are her grandchildren, Cavan and Alec Kosloske, Ashley, Jackie and Katlyn Huff, Alex Kosloske, and Diranda and Devin Pfeifer. Welcoming their loved one home are her grandparents; parents; husband, Raymond; and her son Randall.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the medical personnel involved in caring for Nancy throughout her illness: Dr. Onitilo, and the staff at Saint Michael's Cancer Center, Dr. Mercier, and the staff of 8 North at Saint Joseph's Hospital, The Hope Lodge, who offered a home away from home during her treatments, and to all of our family and friends, especially sister-in-law, Rita Jaroch, for your prayers, love and support throughout this time in our lives. Nancy touched our lives with her grace and beauty and the sparkle in her smile. Her memory will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, beautiful lady.
