Thomas M. Lotz
Thomas M. Lotz, age 62, of Kewaunee, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at home, following a brief illness. He was born Sept. 26, 1940 in Norway, Mich., to the late Irvin and Marie (Erspamer) Lotz. He graduated from the School of Pharmacy at Ferris State College in Big Rapids, Mich. Tom had a successful career with Osco Drug for 12 years, prior to moving to Kewaunee in 1977, where he and his family established their home and Tom's Family Pharmacy.

Lotz enjoyed being actively involved in the community. He was a past president of Kewaunee Rotary Club, chairman of the Kewaunee County Toys for Tots Program, choir director for Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and was involved in many other community projects and activities.

In 1960, he married Sally Griffin of Manawa. Tom and Sally have four children and 13 grandchildren. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at home and at their cottage. Tom was an avid sportsman, with interest in many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and skiing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Tami Lotz of Rhinelander; Todd and Lori Lotz of Manitowoc; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Steve Van Egeren of Green Bay; Kathy and Tom Zellner of De Pere; and 13 grandchildren, Kody, Kaitlen, Kirsten, Aubrey, Paige, Abraham, Jordan, Max, Jack, Hillary, Evan, Grace and William. Tom lived his life here on earth to the fullest. He shared his wisdom, laughter and faith in God with all who knew him. "God has . . . planted eternity in the human heart." Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Friends called after 4 p.m. Friday, June 13, and until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A parish wake service was held at 7 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee, with burial in Holy Rosary cemetery.

Jerry A. Paplham
Jerry A. Paplham, 84, Sun City, Ariz., died Tuesday, June 10, 2003.

He was born May 22, 1919, to the late Jerry and Etta (Baumgartner) Paplham, Kewaunee.

He was a 1937 Kewaunee High School graduate. He married June Deda on Jan. 14, 1939, and she survives him with a son, Keith (Marge) Paplham, Peoria, Ariz., and grandson, Tyler. Two sons, Dale and Roger Paplham, preceded him in death.

Jerry served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed as a tool and die maker in Waukesha, and retired to Sun City, Ariz.

He is survived by one brother, Harvey Paplham Sr., Kewaunee; two sisters, Sylvia (Art) Randall, Hayden, Idaho; Viola (Sylvester) Seidl, Kewaunee; and one brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Bernie) Deda, Milwaukee. He was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Evelyn Paplham; and two brothers-in-law, Delwin Deda and Robert Putnam. Funeral services were held at Sun City, Ariz.

Gerald J. Dale-broux
Gerald J. Dale-broux, 75, Luxem-burg, died early Saturday, June 7, 2003, at a Green Bay hospital, following a courageous battle with leukemia.

He was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Thiry Daems, to the late Alex and Louise (Lemens) Dalebroux. He married Aurelia Zellner at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg, on Aug. 6, 1949. Gerald served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1947. He was a member of the NFO for 18 years, serving as president for the Kewaunee County Chapter, a member of the American Legion, Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg, holding duties as past commander and chaplain, as well as a member of the Dyckesville Lions Club. He was a member of St. Odile and St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gerald worked at Kewaunee Engineering for 15 years while owning and operating the original Dalebroux homestead.

He is survived by his wife, Rella; and his children, Randy (Mary) Dalebroux, Luxemburg; Sally (Michael) Wiericks, Casco; Brian (Marcia) Dalebroux, Luxem-burg; Todd (Karen) Dalebroux, Minnesota; Michael (Joanie) Dalebroux, Luxemburg; Michelle (Patrick) Morris, New Franken; Maria Dalebroux, Colorado; 12 grandchildren, Brandon and Brent Dalebroux, Christopher and Cory Wiericks, Greg, Lee and Steve Dalebroux, Alexis Dalebroux, Josh and Alicia Dalebroux, Kaitlyn and Collin Morris; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Fern) Dalebroux, Green Bay; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Rita Vogel, Connecticut; Duwayne Ravet, Luxemburg; Margaret (Tom) Zuege, Kewaunee; Earl Gillis, Kaukauna.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Roland, Arnold (Jean) Dalebroux; one sister and two brothers-in-law, LaVerne Gillis, Leonard Vogel, James Ravet.

Friends called at Mc MAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, from 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 9, with visitation continuing after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, Champion. Prayer service was held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, followed by the American Legion, Ralph Kline Post 262, Memorial Service. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, at the church, with the Rev. Frank Kerscher officiating. Entomb-ment was in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, with full military rites at graveside.

A special thanks to the staff of ninth floor St. Vincent Hospital for care given to Gerald. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Gerald's name.

William E. Jansky Sr.
William E. Jansky Sr., age 92, Kewaunee, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at St. Vincent Hospital.

He was born Oct. 5, 1910, in the town of Carlton, to the late Peter and Josephine (Skornichka) Jansky. He married Leone Juza June 23, 1936, at St. Joseph Church, Norman. He and his wife farmed in the town of Carlton all of their lives until retiring and enjoyed retirement on the farm, gardening and socializing until September 2002 when they moved to the Kewaunee Care Center. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church, Norman, now St. Isidore the Farmer, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Illia Mae and Ervin Wendricks of Algoma; one son and daughter-in-law, William and Sharon of Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Tammy (Doug) Duff, Oregon, Wis.; and Craig (Susan) Wendricks, Cottage Grove; three great-grandchildren, Alex and Megan Duff and Andrea Wendricks; one sister and brother-in-law, Mayme and Tom Knetzger, Florida; special friends, Sally and Randy Schlies, Manitowoc.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Anna Jansky and Sylvester and Irene Jansky. Friends called after 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, and until 10 a.m. Wednesday at Buchanan Funeral Home,Kewaunee. Parish wake service was held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish/St. Joseph site, Norman, with Fr. Joseph Coopmans officiating. Entombment was in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

Mathew Raymond LeGreve
Mathew Raymond LeGreve, age 31, Two Rivers, died on Thursday afternoon, June 5, 2003, at his residence. Matt was born on Oct. 19, 1971, in Two Rivers, the son of Kenneth and Yvonne (Berg) LeGreve. He was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the Class of 1990.

On June 11, 1994, he married the former Jody Lemberger at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Matt was employed by the Shoto Corporation and the Lighthouse Inn for many years. He was also employed by the Eck Foundry as a die cast leadman.

He loved to hunt and ride his Harley. He was an avid Packer fan where he sold programs at Lambeau Field, a Brewer fan and was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Two Rivers.

Survivors include his wife, Jody LeGreve, Two Rivers; one son, Hunter, at home; his parents, Kenneth and Yvonne LeGreve, Two Rivers; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Missy LeGreve, Mishicot; and Mark and Pam LeGreve, Two Rivers; one sister, Melissa Andre, Green Bay; father-in-law and stepmother-in-law, Bob and Sue Lemberger, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law, Tim Lemberger and special friend, Kris York, Two Rivers; one sister-in-law, Laurie Lemberger and fiance, Kevin King, Two Rivers; paternal grandmother, Mildred LeGreve, Luxemburg; godmother, Sue LeRoy and husband Bernie, Luxemburg; godfather, Dale Berg, Abrams; goddaughter, Meredith LeGreve, Two Rivers; nieces and nephews, Andrew, Emily, Natalie, Austin and Ashley. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his furry friend, his cat, Jazz.

Matt was preceded in death by one infant brother, Mitchell; maternal grandparents, Ray and Marie Berg; paternal grandfather, Vincent LeGreve Sr.; his mother-in-law, Nancy Lemberger.

The family greeted relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12 noon on Monday, June 9, at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial was Rev. William O'Brien, with burial following at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.

Anna A. (Mrs. Felix) Rank
Anna A. (Mrs. Felix) Rank, 90, New Franken, died Mon-day afternoon, June 9, 2003, at a Green Bay nursing home. She was born Feb. 18, 1913, to the late Fabian and Anna (Hoffman) Junion in Thiry Daems. On Sept. 25, 1940, Anna married Felix Rank at St. Odile Church, Thiry Daems. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1994.

Anna enjoyed gardening, making Belgian pies and bread, and loved her farm in New Franken.

Survivors include her children, Sandra (Bob) Bertrand, Roger (Barbara) Rank, all of New Franken; her grandchildren, Paul (Lori) Bertrand, Amy Bertrand and her special friend, Randy Buhr, Angela Bertrand, Doug (Peggy) Rank, Tom (Beth Hanes) Rank, Debbie (Matt) Williquette; four great-grandchildren, Alycia, Danielle and Brooke Bertrand and Alayna Rank; one sister, Evelyn DeGrave, Luxemburg; one sister-in-law, Blanche Junion, Thiry Daems.

Anna was preceded in death by one grandson, Patrick Bertrand; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Clarence (Alice) Junion, Arthur Junion, Ben (Esther) Junion, Raymond Junion and Fabion Junion; one brother-in-law, Alvin DeGrave.

Friends may call at the McMAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, from 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 11. Visitation will continue between 9:15 and 10:15 a.m. Thursday at St. Kilian Church, New Franken. Prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Dean Dombroski officiating. Burial will be in St. Kilian cemetery, New Franken.

Martha E. Koeberl
Martha E. Koeberl, 82, Algoma, died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 2, 1921, in Green Bay to Mathias and Anna (Meyers) Daniels. Martha married Henry Koeberl in Green Bay, March 6, 1943. They lived in Green Bay for two years before moving to Algoma.

Martha raised her family of five children and then started working at Wisconsin Label in Algoma as one if its first employees. She worked there for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. Martha enjoyed playing scrabble, watching and feeding the wild birds, pulling the slots, gardening, watching all sports on TV and playing bingo.

She is survived by her five children, Janice Koeberl, Bonita Springs, Fla.; Tom Koeberl, Algoma; Loie (Steve) Raether, Wausau; Anne Mitchell, Louisville, Ky.; and Dave (Jenny) Koeberl, Pulaski; 11 grandchildren, Jerry VandenBusch, Melissa VandenBusch, Earl Tillett, Michelle Tillett, Shane Koeberl, Chad Koeberl, Shannon Raether, Jessica Raether, Jason Vittitoe, Jared Koeberl and Lauren Koeberl; two great-granddaughters, Courtney and Brittney Koeberl; brother-in-law, Raymond Robinson; and sister-in-law, Ruth Daniels; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry, Nov. 25, 1969; four brothers, George, Frank, Clarence and Lawrence; and three sisters, Angeline, Elizabeth and Lucy.

Friends called at the SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, from 10 a.m., Saturday, May 31, until the time of services at 1 p.m., with Rev. Earl F. Lindsay officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery, Algoma.

The family wishes to thank Unity Hospice for the care and compassion given to Martha.

Wallace F. Kudick
Wallace F. Kudick, age 74, of Rhinelander, formerly of Post Lake, died Monday, May 26, 2003, in the Post Lake area. He was born Dec. 5, 1928, in Kewaunee, the son of Walter and Meta (Mueller) Kudick.

He married the former Dorothy Stentz in Howards Grove on Sept. 16, 1950. They moved to Rhinelander approximately three years ago. Wallace loved to farm and fish and tinker in his garage. He loved the Green Bay Packers and polka music. Wallace loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and always had candy in his pocket for them.

He is survived by Dorothy, his wife of 50 years; his children, Chris (Tony) Mayer, Yvonne (Byron) Stock, Wallace Jr. (Bernie) Kudick, Kim Pond, Ken (Linda) Kudick and Karleen (Dennis) Mikkelson; two sisters, Bertha (Vernon) Smith and June (Bob) Novotny; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Hass; two brothers, Merlin and Harvey; and three grandchildren, Allisia Pond, Benjie Renee Pond and Lisa Kudick.

Visitation was from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 30, at the Hildebrand-Darton-Russ Funeral Home, Rhinelander. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 31, at 10 a.m., at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Enterprise, with Pastor Neil Varnum officiating. Interment followed in Riverview cemetery in Kewaunee at 3:30 p.m.
