Marvin 'Marv' D. LaCrosse
Marvin 'Marv' D. LaCrosse, age 76, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away suddenly on Monday, May 26, 2003, at Door County Memorial Hospital, after a short bout with cancer.

He was born March 18, 1927, in Rosiere, oldest son of seven, to the late Walter and Myrtle (Delwiche) LaCrosse. Marv joined the Merchant Marines in 1944 and sailed in the South Pacific until February of 1945. He was then drafted into the United States Army in June of 1945 and was stationed in Salzburg, Austria, until his discharge in 1947.

Marv was employed as an auto technician for a Chrysler dealership for over 25 years. He was employed with Peterson Builders Inc. for 10 years, until his retirement on Jan. 1, 1991. He was a member of PBI Retirees and a lifelong member of American Legion Post 72.

On June 12, 1948, he married Hazel Magdalene Braley in Sturgeon Bay. She preceded him in death on April 29, 1992. He is survived by three sons, Marvin A. 'Fuzz' (Nancy J.), Larry (Cindy A.) and Scott A. (Christine M.), all of Sturgeon Bay; four grandchildren, Zachary D., Levon B., Tyler H. and Nicole L. Delveauz; sister, Doreen (Jerry) Konarski of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Olive Braley of Sturgeon Bay; sister and brother-in-law, Doreen 'Dode' (Leo) Rock-well of Sturgeon Bay; and close family friend, Greg Koontz of Sturgeon Bay.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Hazel; four sisters, and one brother.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay, with Fr. Dominic Peluse as celebrant. Burial with military honors followed in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery.

Friends called from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, and Friday from 8 a.m. until prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Huehns Funeral Home of Sturgeon Bay. A military service was held at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, followed by a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Marvin D. LaCrosse's name to Door CANcer. The end of life is just as important as the beginning. We would like to extend a special thank you to Drs. Melarvie, Scheer, Hsia, and Pat for their care of Dad. We would also like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the nursing staff at Door County Memorial Hospital, and to Ann from VNA Hospice. We truly appreciate all that was done for Marvin.

John Frank Piette
John Frank Piette, 89, formerly of 30 Villa Heights, Algoma, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit.

He was born March 3, 1914, in Algoma, to August and Sophie (Guilette) Piette. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and Algoma High School. He married Frances Freix April 15, 1936, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Algoma. He worked at the Algoma Net Co. until his retirement. Frances and John also owned and operated the Algoma Beach Motel for 26 years. John enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by three sons, John C. (Linda), Hot Springs Village, Ark.; James W., Green Bay; and Joseph M. (Susan), Little Suamico; three daughters, Dianne (Michael) Burke, Oshkosh; Linda (Lee) Pavlik, Algoma; and Teri (James) Graf, Algoma; 22 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one sister, Agnes Defnet, Schofield; one brother-in-law, George Freix, Algoma; two sisters-in-law, Nora Nor-man, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and Eleanor Freix, Sister Bay; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances, on April 16, 2001; one brother, Henry Piette; and two sisters, Lucy Hrabik and Alice Cesar.

Friends called at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma, Wednesday, June 4, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Father Bill Kuhr officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The SCHINDERLE FUNERAL HOME, Algoma, assisted the family with arrangements.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Mark Weisse and Dr. Robert Anderson and the nurses and staff at the Algoma Long Term Care Unit for all the care and compassion given to John during his stay.

Agnes M. Rank
Agnes M. Rank, 87, of Luxemburg, died peacefully late Sunday evening, June 1, 2003, at Borne-mann Nursing Home, Green Bay.

She was born July 18, 1915, in Luxemburg, to the late George and Barbara (Beirl) Dorner. On Sept. 26, 1934, Agnes married Peter Rank at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1991. Together they farmed in Luxemburg until retirement.

Agnes was a member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Mary's Church, Lux-emburg, and a member of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. Her enjoyments included playing sheephead, crafts and scrapbooking.

Survivors include five children, Arvilla Rank, College Park, Md.; Merrill (Susan) Rank, Luxemburg; Shirley (Merlin) Vanden Plas, Hum-boldt; Janet (James) Van Pay, New Franken; Sandra (Jeffery) Ulrich, Sturgeon Bay; 14 grandchildren, Steve (Terry) Vanden Plas; Randy (Cindy) Vanden Plas, Roxie (Terry) Jorgensen, Kevin (Sherry) Van Pay, Mike (Debbie) Van Pay, Joe (Tammy) Van Pay, Tim (Cindy) Van Pay, Julie (Jon) Zirbel, Paul (Ann) Rank, Dennis Rank and Jennifer, Sarah (Jon) Romdenne, Karen (Kevin) Tassoul, Erica LaLuzerne and Jeremy, Alan LaLuzerne; 21 great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Laura Kirby, Reno, Nev.; Caroline Burkart, Green Bay; Anna Marie (Norbert) Finnel, Denmark; three sisters-in-law, Julia Dorner, Elaine Dorner, both of Luxemburg; Louise Dorner, Green Bay. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister-in-law, George Dorner, Donald Dorner, Leo Dorner, Phillip (Esther) Dorner, Raymond Dorner; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mary (George) Perkins, Anna Dorner, Frances Dorner, Regina Kunesh, Henry Burkart and Tom Kirby.

Friends called at MC MAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, June 3. Visitation continued between 9:45-10:45 a.m., Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, Luxemburg. Prayer service was at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the church, with Rev. Milton Suess officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery, Luxemburg.

Kelly A. Vanden Bush
Kelly A. Vanden Bush, 48, Luxem-burg, died unexpectedly at his home Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2003, of an apparent heart attack.

He was born Dec. 29, 1954, in Green Bay, to the late Ralph and Doris (Rentmeester) Vanden Bush. He married Joan Dax on Oct. 5, 1974, in Luxemburg. Kelly was employed with Proctor & Gamble Co., Green Bay, for six years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family. He deeply loved his wife and truly enjoyed his two grandchildren. He loved and knew the Lord as his Savior.

Kelly is survived by his wife, Joan; and their children, Jennifer (Stephen) Komp, Bobbie Jo (Darby) Kern, all of Green Bay; Richard Vanden Bush, Amanda Vanden Bush, both of Luxemburg; two granddaughters, Natalie and Ellah Komp; his brothers and sisters, Mark (Sue) Vanden Bush, Green Bay; Linda (Dave) Carlson, Phillips; Darrell (Laurie) Vanden Bush, Green Bay; Theresa (Roger) Hagnet, Green Bay; Mary (Terry) Zellner, Luxemburg; Doug (Barb) Vanden Bush, New Franken; Ron (Jackie) Vanden Bush, Green Bay; David (Lori) Vanden Bush, Luxemburg; Jodi (Rob) Stowe, Green Bay; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Verle and Donald Dax, Luxemburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael (Sharon) Dax, Luxemburg; Mary (Todd) Ouradnik, Casco; Janet (Dennis) Delebreau, Casco; Julie (Jim) Johnson, Luxemburg; Rod (Alison) Dax, Luxemburg; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Doris Vanden Bush.

Friends may call at MC MAHON FUNERAL HOME, LUXEMBURG, from 3-8 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, with visitation continuing between 9:45-10:45 a.m., Thursday at West Side Moravian Church, Green Bay. Prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, led by Robert Steiner. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at the church with Brother Michael Smits officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Algoma. A thank you is extended to the Luxemburg Rescue Squad, to our family and friends and two special neighbors, Jim and Joe Schley, for comfort and concern offered at this time.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Jerome Wojta
Jerome Wojta, age 75, Two Rivers, died Wednesday evening, May 28, 2003, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Jerome was born Nov. 5, 1927, in the town of Two Creeks, son of the late Anton and Anna (Kaiser) Wojta. He attended Lake View School, of Two Creeks, and was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, Class of 1945. On June 1, 1961, Jerome married the former Phyllis Mella at St. Casimir's Catholic Church, Northeim. He lived his entire life in the town of Two Creeks on the family farm.

Jerome was a farmer and musician. He was band leader of the Two Creeks Farm Hands for 40 years and hosted the Jerome Wojta Show on radio station WAUN-Kewaunee. Jerome was also a real estate salesperson for Kafka Realty. He was a member of the following organizations, Mishicot-Tisch Mills Council 4807 Knights of Columbus, Wisconsin Orches-tra Leaders Association, where he was presented the Orchestra Leader of the Year Award in 1984, and the Two Creeks Historical Committee. He was given the Century Farm Award for continuing family ownership for over 100 years.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, Two Creeks; a daughter and son-in-law, Naomi and Ron 'Mike' Long, Bellevue; a sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Kenneth Krofta, town of Carlton, Kewaunee County; one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel and Geraldine Wojta, Two Rivers; four sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Gertrude Bast and Celia Mella, both of Manitowoc; Rita and Norbert Pritzl, Cato; Eunice Mella, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive. Jerome was preceded in death by three sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law, Rose and Stanley Tadych, Martha and Wilbert Mallman, Fred Bast, Agnes and Frank Greskowiak and Leonard Mella.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary-St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Tisch Mills, with Rev. Joseph Coopmans, O. Praem, officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Jerome, 'Pa,' loved being with his family and close friends. He enjoyed tinkering with his tractors, farming, logging, making wood, playing 'In the Band' and fishing.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Henry Loomans and staff, Dr. Robert Wilson and staff, all the nurses at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, and Appleton Medical Center, Appleton, for their special care.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.

Paul F. Koehler
Paul F. Koehler, age 49, of Green Bay, formerly of Kewaunee, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at St. Vincent Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Kewaunee to Arden and the late Clara (Lallensack) Koehler on Oct. 22, 1953. He graduated from Kewaunee High School with the Class of 1971. He was employed as a mechanic for R&J Transport, Manitowoc, and later worked for Schneider National of Green Bay.

Paul enjoyed hunting and always looked forward to deer hunting season and hunting rabbits. He also loved anything with two or four wheels and a steering wheel on it. After buying his first motorcycle at age 16, he was hooked for life. The sound of a Harley coming down the road was music to him. Paul was a past member of the Carlton Fire Department.

His father, Arden L. Koehler, Kewaunee, survives him, along with his brother and sister-in-law, Daniel A. and Patricia Koehler, Two Rivers, and his sister, Joann J. Koehler of Kewaunee. A niece, Beth A. Koehler, Eau Claire, and her fiancˇ, Michael Wiltman of Mishicot, and a nephew, Bret A. Koehler, Two Rivers, survive him. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara (Lallensack) Koehler, in 1999.

Friends called after 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 6 p.m., with Fr. William Kuhr officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill cemetery in the town of Carlton. Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee, assisted the family.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Royce C. Linn Dialysis Center and the staff of St. Vincent Hospital's 9th floor for the excellent care and compassion they gave Paul over the years. The family also wishes to thank Dr. John Lawton and Dr. Tom Zenner for their care and compassion. A very special thanks to Karen Powell. Karen, you will never know how much you helped us and we will be forever in your debt. Thank you!!!

Wilmer C. Kolmorgen
Wilmer C. Kolmorgen, 96, Kewaunee, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at the Cobblestone Terrace. He was born Aug. 16, 1906, in the town of Ahnapee to August and Clara (Bowe) Kolmorgen. Wilmer married Evelyn Haasch Nov. 18, 1936, in Forestville. They farmed in the town of Ahnapee until 1978 when they moved to Algoma. Then, in 1999, they moved to Kewaunee.

Wilmer was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Forestville.

He is survived by Evelyn, his wife of 66 years; four children, Fern (Robert) Dalebroux, Green Bay; Joyce (John) Bathke, Algoma; Glen (Barbara) Kolmorgen, Jenison, Mich.; and Gerald (Nancy) Kolmorgen, Kewaunee; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Stranak, Milwaukee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; one brother, Marvin; and three sisters, Myrtle Uecker, Crystal Reichard and Evelyn Kolmorgen.

The family will receive friends at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Forestville, from 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 29, until the time of services at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Luhrs officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
