Lucille R. Anderson
Lucille R. Anderson, 83, Green Bay, passed away on January 21, 2003. The former Lucille Sharkey was born on March 29, 1919, in Schaefer, Mich., to the late John and Roseanna (Pilon) Sharkey. In 1941 she married Ervin Wellens, and he preceded her in death in 1946. She then married Peter Anderson in 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1975. She was employed her entire career as an LPN, employed at the Brown County Mental Health Center for 17 years, St. Vincent Hospital for 20 years, as well as Santa Maria and Ledgeview Nursing Homes. Lucille enjoyed bowling and playing softball and golf. She was an avid Packers fan. She was also very active with the Red Cross blood donation program, both donating her own blood and assisting with blood drives.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Dr. Gerald Wellens, Green Bay, Mary Margaret (Orion) Anderson, Crystal Lake, Ill., and Stephen Anderson, Green Bay; one grandchild, Eric; brother Silas (Marie) Sharkey, Green Bay; as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ervin Wellens, husband Peter Anderson, three brothers and one sister-in-law, Edward (Marcella) Sharkey, Francis and Leon Sharkey.

Friends may call at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams St., on Friday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Kenneth De Groot, O. Praem, officiating. Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 468-4111, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

The family wishes to express a thank-you to Dr. John H. Randall for his many years of excellent care.

Bonnie J. Barrette
Bonnie J. Barrette, 70, Owensboro, Ky., formerly Green Bay. Memorial Mass 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2771 Oakwood Drive. Survivors include three sons, Craig R. Barrette, Owensboro, Ky., Stephen D. Barrette and Bruce J. Barrette, both of Green Bay; five grandchildren; three sisters, Lorraine Massey, Gertrude Gmack, Bernice LaLuzerne, all of Green Bay.

Katharina O. Gabrielson
Katharina O. "Katja" Gabrielson, 98, Green Bay. Visitation after 9 a.m. today at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 991 Pilgrim Way. Funeral service 11 a.m. today at the church. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Gladys (Clair) Page; seven nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews. Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., is assisting the family.

Charles A. Houck
Charles A. Houck, 86, Green Bay. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave, and after 11:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S. Broadway. Masonic service 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral service 12:30 p.m. Friday at the church. Survivors include his wife, Irene; one daughter, Ruth (Don) Novak, Green Bay; one granddaughter; two stepsons, Glen Jaeger, Green Bay, Gene (Jayne) Jaeger, Watertown, S.D.; two stepdaughters, Kathy (Steve) Widi, Suamico, Donna (Jay) Eller, Minnetonka, Minn.; six stepgrandchildren; one brother, Ervin (Jean) Houck, Stevens Point; three sisters, Elizabeth Byrne, Willow Brook, Ill., Grace Houck, Green Bay, Jennie (Evert) Ross, Chula Vista, Calif.

Isabel C. Wojkiewicz
Isabel C. Wojkiewicz, 72, Pulaski. Arrangements are pending; Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, is assisting the family.

Frank Stanley Wolfe
Frank Stanley Wolfe, 96, Fort Worth, Texas, loving husband and devoted father, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2003 at his residence. Memorial Mass 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas.

Frank Stanley Wolfe was born November 10, 1906, in Green Bay to Frank and Rose. He retired from Froedtert Malt in Milwaukee. In September 2002 he moved to Fort Worth from his lifelong home in Milwaukee. He enjoyed hunting, playing the lottery and listening to Brewers and Packers games. Frank was preceded in death by his brothers Harold, Sal and Joe; sister, Ann.

Survivors: Frank will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years, Esther Gorecki Wolfe; sons, Francis Wolfe, Kenneth Wolfe and his wife Jill; daughters, Susan Pace and husband Ralph, Linda Brooks and husband Dean, and Donna Nowicki and special partner Eddie Wold; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many other special relatives and friends.

The family gives a special thank-you to the caring nurses and staff atCommunity Hospice.

Margaret Bastien
Margaret (Montcalm) Bastien, 79, Green Bay, died Tuesday morning, January 21, 2003, surrounded by her family. She was born November 4, 1923, in Marquette, Mich., to the late Peter and Mary (Chartier) Montcalm. On July 6, 1949, she married Clement "Bud" Bastien at St. John Catholic Church in Marquette, Mich. She retired from Fabry Glove. Margaret enjoyed life to the fullest. She and "Bud" traveled and cruised often. She enjoyed the activities of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially Packer game parking. She volunteered her time at the Weidner Center, the Mary Guild, Green Bay Botanical Gardens and the Green Bay Garden Club. Margaret enjoyed painting, crafting and growing roses. She was a member of St. Agnes Parish.

Survivors include her husband, "Bud"; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Karen Bastien, Dan and Diane Bastien; two daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Mark Kasper, Terri and Phil Muehlethaler; 10 grandchildren, Greg, Travis and Dylan Bastien, Dawn (Mark) Pierce and Dena Bastien, Alyssa and Taylor Kasper, Troy, Monique and Kyle Muehlethaler; two great-grandchildren, Bryan and Emma Pierce; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Cecilia Armiga, Elaine and Loren Thiede and Julia Montcalm; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Dorothy Inch, Paul and Virge Bastien and Marylou Mlinar.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Adrianne and Clarence Bigger, Valerie and Donald Quayle; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Faye Montcalm; three brothers-in-law, Mike Armiga, Jack Inch and Paul Mlinar; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Albert and Emma Bastien.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

The family extends a special thank-you to Unity Hospice, especially to Sharon, Deb and Heidi, Dr. Bachhuber and the many others who have helped out.

Survivors include two sons, Scott (Debbie) Wendricks, Green Bay, Greg Wendricks, Green Bay; two daughters, Beth Wendricks (fiancé, Scott), Green Bay, Emily Wendricks, Green Bay; two grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Butler, Utah, Mark (Jeanine) Lane, Okla.

Edward E. Farr
Edward E. Farr, 91, Green Bay. Visitation after 10 a.m. today at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 347 Libal St., De Pere. Funeral service 11 a.m. today at the church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Kathleen Shaha, Albany, Ore.; two sons, John Sr. (Janet) Farr, Green Bay, David (Kathie) Farr, Ada, Mich.; one sister, Helen Zimmerman, Marinette; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Nancy "Sue" Opsahl, 68, Green Bay. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday at West Mason Malcore Funeral Home, 1530 W. Mason St., and 10 a.m.-noon Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral service noon Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Al Opsahl Jr.; two daughters, Diane (Wayne) Falish, Greenleaf, Yvonne Van Campenhout, Green Bay; two sons, John (Mary) Opsahl, Green Bay, Jim (Terri) Opsahl, Casco; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Robert Johnson, Ishpeming, Mich.; four sisters, Elaine Rice, Ishpeming, Myrtle (Ray) Hutter, Marquette, Mich., Helen Korpi, Palmer, Mich., Jo-Ann (Robert) Pilon, Kingsford, Mich.

Mercedes Walton
Mercedes (Piton) Walton found peace on the evening of January 20, 2003, at her home surrounded by family. Born on January 13, 1917, in Masswaupee, Wis. (Door County), she is the daughter of the late Fred and Josephine (Zephrine) Piton.

Survived by one son, Gailord (Susan) Walton, Little Saumico; two daughters, Mary Ann Walton, Green Bay, Judith (Gerald) Smith, Antigo; step-daughter, Doris Mae Walton Young, Milwaukee; one step-son-in-law, Robert Hansen, Oconto; lifelong friends, Beatrice Passon, Green Bay, Mary Jane Lemens Komesarski, Green Bay; grandchildren, Candace Jones, South Carolina, Carmel (Richard) Leese, Georgia, David Faltynski (Tonya Herlik), Green Bay, Cindy (Daniel) Houdek, Antigo, Jeffrey (Tammy) Smith, Antigo, Jay Walton, Chicago, Melissa Walton, Green Bay, Suzanne Walton, Little Suamico; foster grandson, Robert Meyers, Green Bay; five great-grandchildren; 29 stepgrandchildren; 32 step-great-grandchildren; two foster grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Joan Walton Beck; one brother and sister-in-law, Cy and Ella Piton; four sisters andbrothers-in-law, Blanch (Lyle) Bitters, Lorraine (Eddie) Gilson, Eunice Piton, Lillian Piton Coleman; niece, Grace Menne; nephew, Larry Piton; five stepsons, William, Robert, James, Donald, Darrell Walton; one stepdaughter, Theresa Walton Hansen.

Friends may call MALCORE Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, today from 4 to 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Funeral services 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saints Peter and Paul Church with the Rev. Gary Dantinne officiating. Entombment at Allouez Mausoleum.

During her life, she provided foster care to many women in her home.

Lucille J. Wood, 90, Green Bay. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. Funeral service 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Virgil) Johnson, Green Bay; one son, Michael (Linda) Wood, Mountain; one stepson, Robert (Jean) Wood, Ocala, Fla.; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
