Jim Waldkirch
Jim Waldkirch, the youngest son of Dr. Bernard and Louise Waldkirch of De Pere, Wisconsin, and loving husband of Young Hee (Lee) Waldkirch, of Sachse, Texas, passed away on May 30, 2000, at Dallas, Texas. Jim was born in Green Bay, Wis. on December 14, 1962, and was welcomed into his family of six sisters and two brothers. He attended Green Bay Montessori School, Notre Dame Elementary and Middle School. He graduated from Abbot Pennings High School, Class of 1981. At Abbot Pennings he was editor of the 1981 yearbook Argos. He was a member of the National Honor Society, was in cast of the musical OLIVER, and enjoyed being a cheerleader. Jim loved music, and enjoyed playing the piano. He was active in summer productions of Music Theater at St. Norbert College in De Pere. He worked as a part of the stage crew, electronics, and construction of sets. In preparation for his Confirmation at St. Mary Catholic Congregation, Jim wrote to the Bishop requesting the privilege of becoming a Minister of the Eucharist even though he was just a teenager. The permission was granted. He served Mass during his high school years and also was a Communion Distributor when he came home on vacation from college. Jim was a graduate of Iowa State University. He received his degree in Computer Engineering at Ames, Iowa. His career in that field took him to Texas, where he was employed by Electro-Space, Inc., Chrysler Co., and Raytheon, until the time of his illness in 1998. Jim and Young Hee (Lee) were married at St. Mary Congregation on December 18, 1993. They returned to Texas, where they made their home at 6307 Coral Lane, Sachse, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. Jim enjoyed wood-working, electronics, photography, and was a Green Bay Packer fan. He is survived by Young Hee, a loving and faithful wife, and a most dedicated care giver during his long struggle with brain tumors. He is also survived by his parents; six sisters; Mary Sue Burgess (Philip), Annapolis, Md., Barbara Koblinski (Brian), Ludington, Mich., Therese Waldkirch, Green Bay, Jane Waldkirch, Delavan, Wis, Heidi Waldkirch and Russ Jelinek, Danbury, Conn., Mary Lisa Tilley (Dean), Lakeland Minn. He is also survived by two brothers, Mark (Lisa) Waldkirch, Winchester, Ky, and Tom (Karen) Waldkirch, Wauwatosa, Wis. Also, many nieces and nephews and friends. His Godfather, Robert J. Mettner, Green Bay and Rev. Gery Meehan, O. Praem were special people in his life. He was preceded in death by his Godmother, Victoria Waldkirch, his favorite aunt, Therese Mettner, and his grandparents. Jim will be remembered for his deep commitment to his Faith, his thoughtful loving devotion to his wife, family and friends. Those who knew him Jim well will also remember his dry sense of humor even in his final days. Friends and relatives may call at St. Anthony Church, Wylie, Texas, at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 3. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church at Wylie Texas on Saturday, June 3, 2000. Interment at Sachse Cemetery. A Memorial Mass for Jim will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Community at Pope John XXIII Circle, Ledgeview, at a later date.

Mrs. Alice Vander Leest
Mrs. Alice Vander Leest, age 90, Green Bay, died Saturday morning, June 3, 2000 at a local nursing home. She was born on November 3,1909 in Green Bay to the late John and Luella (McMillan) Wyckoff. On October 26,1948, she married Leo Vander Leest at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church; he preceded her in death on February 28, 1987. She had been employed by Diana Manufacturing Co. and Factory Outlet Shoe Store. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Albert Wery, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Amy (Paul) Latus, Green Bay, Lorrie (Steve) Mikulsky, Green Bay, and Richard (Amy Lynn) Wery, Memphis, Tenn.; seven great grandchildren, Kirk and Kayla Latus, Heidi, Jessica and Brooke Mikulsky, and Cassandra and David Wery; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and William, and one granddaughter, Amy Jeret. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Kotwicki officiating. Interment will take place in Lawrence Cemetery.

Mrs. Archie 'Rosella E.' Van Den Elzen
Mrs. Archie 'Rosella E.' Van Den Elzen, 79, formerly of Suamico, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at a local hospital. She was born October 26, 1920 in Suamico to the late Oliver and Martha (Bartell) Ashley. On February 7, 1942, she married Archie Van Den Elzen at St. Benedict Catholic Church. She was a longtime member of St. Benedict Parish. Rosella enjoyed fishing, going up north, canning and spending time with her family. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Bea, Daniel and Kathy, Thomas and Kathy, Robert and Sue Van Den Elzen, all of Suamico; seven grandchildren, Michael Van Den Elzen, Mary Styczynski, Daniel Van Den Elzen, Sarah Duffy, Chris Van Den Elzen, Matt Van Den Elzen; Betsy Van Den Elzen; eight great-grandchildren, Priscella, Vanessa, Owen, and Chelsea Van Den Elzen; Samantha and Calli Styczynski; Colin and Conner Duffy; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dolores Tomchek, Suamico; Patricia and Cliff Noth, Green Bay; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Richard and Rosemary Ashley, Howard; Donna Ashley, Ontanagon, Mich.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie; and a brother, Russell Ashley. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. (Today) Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Gary J. Dantinne officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.

Joseph E. Terrien
Joseph E. Terrien, 73, Green Bay passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at a local nursing home. Joseph was born on August 8, 1926 in Glenmore, the son of the late Andrew and Sophie (Smits) Terrien. He was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. Joseph was a night Clerk at the Gladstone Motel. He also worked part-time as a custodian at Mason Manor where he lived for many years. Joseph was a member of Saint Agnes Catholic Church for many years and was an usher as well as a member of their Men’s Club. Joseph was a member of the Salvation Army kitchen band. Joseph was also the treasurer of the Will-O-Way Club. Joseph is survived by three brothers, Jerome (Eleanor) Terrien, Green Bay, Melvin Terrien, Green Bay, Louis (Eileen) Terrien, Suamico; two sisters, Loretta Zarnoth, Green Bay, and Helen (Gerald) Linssen, Townsend; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by two sisters, Marcella Seidl and her husband James, Margaret “Mickey” Bain; one brother-in-law Norman Zarnoth, and one sister-in-law, Lillian Terrien. Rita G. Pirlott
Rita G. Pirlott, 80, Green Bay resident, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at Wyndemere Estates following a long illness. She was born Jan. 13, 1920, in Green Bay to the late Peter and Grace (Beerntsen) Raymakers. Rita married Russell Pirlott Dec. 26, 1942, at St. Willebrord Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1970. Rita was employed by Schreiber Cheese Company until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Louis Lucci, Green Bay, Bette and Ralph Kane, Denmark, Janice and Gary Schauer, Green Bay; three sons and daughters-in-law, Roland and Rosie Pirlott, Green Bay, Mike and Jo Pirlott, Waukesha, David and Sherry Pirlott, Green Bay; 18 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Marie Raymakers, Commerce City, Colo., Winfred and Jean Raymakers, Green Bay, Edward and Kay Raymakers, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law, Joanne and Charles Hlinak, Norman, Wis.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Leona Van Nelson, Bernice Hansen and Marian Navin. Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Sister Martha Pellow
Sister Martha Pellow, 111, died peacefully Friday evening, June 2, 2000, at St. Francis Convent, Bay Settlement. The daughter of John and Elizabeth (Perria) Pellow was born in 1889 in Oconto Falls. She entered St. Francis Convent, Bay Settlement, in June 1908. She was received into the community of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross in July 1909 and made her perpetual profession of vows in 1918. Sister Martha celebrated 90 years as a Sister of St. Francis in August 1999. Sister Martha taught at St. Boniface School, De Pere, Holy Cross School, Mishicot, St. Anthony School, Neopit, St. John The Baptist School, Howard, and SS Peter and Paul in Institute. Following her teaching career, Sister Martha cared for the sick at St. Francis Convent and at the McCormick Home, Allouez. During her later years, she worked as a homemaker for the teaching sisters at Holy Angels, Darboy, St. John The Baptist, Howard, St. Joan of Arc, Goodman, All Saints, Denmark, and at the Chapel at Robinsonville. Sister Martha retired in 1971 but spent many hours using her sewing skills to make articles of clothing for the poor and needy, especially children. She was a member of the Audubon Society and later joined the Bird Club, enjoying many field trips and other activities of the society until recent years. Sister Martha is survived by many nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elizabeth Pellow; seven brothers, John, Arthur, Archie, Walter, Roy, Maurice and Lawrence Pellow; and two sisters, Mabel Pellow Lancer and Grace Pellow Olderman. Friends may call at St. Francis Convent, 3025 Bay Settlement Road, from 4 to 9 p.m. today, Monday, June 5. The Vigil Service will be at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, in Holy Cross Church, Bay Settlement, with the Rev. Mathew Siekierski presiding. Loretta Jonet
Mrs. John P. Loretta Jonet, 70, Humboldt, died Saturday evening, June 3, 2000 at her home following a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 20, 1929 in Casco to the late Leonard and Annie Vandenplas Heim. On Oct. 5, 1946, Loretta married John P. Jonet at St. Mary's Church, Humboldt. Loretta farmed all of her life. During the summer months she cleaned Luxemburg-Casco High School. Her love for the outdoors was obvious as she enjoyed her work at They's Orchard and going for long walks. She was a frequent craft sale shopper and a creator of many ceramic masterpieces. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, John. Her children: Gary and Deana Jonet, De Pere, and their family: Sherry Kelly LaPointe. Larry and Cindy Jonet, Athelstane, and their family: Tina Andy Mohr, Kacy Jonet, Sara Hujet, Bob Hujet. Dan and Lisa Jonet, Humboldt, and their family: Jessica, Christine and Corey Jonet. One great-grandchild, Kayla Mohr. Two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Laverne and Arthur Dart, Casco; Urania and Robert Schwabenlander, New Franken. Special friends: Tom and Darlene Balck. Six brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law: Norman and Hilde-garde Jonet, Alvin and Veronica Jonet, Harvey and Gladys Jonet, Millie and Ted Ducat, John Falish, George and Kitty Ratajczak, and Betty Jonet. Loretta was preceded in death by: one infant brother, Lyle. Five brothers-in-law: Bernard Jonet, Tony Jonet, Lester Marchant, Edward Derenne and Marvin Phillips. Four sisters-in-law: Marion Jonet, Leona Derenne, Verna Falish and Germaine Ratajczak. Friends called at McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 5, and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Sugar Bush. Prayer service was at 7 p.m. Monday. Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the church with Rev. Dean Dombroski officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
