Claude L. Cahoon on December 11, 1942. Ivol was a working mom and held many jobs in the Dells area including Community Action, Riverview Boat Company, Olson Boat Company and Attorney Bob Dougherty. She was involved for many years with the Dells Lioness Club and the American Legion Post 187 Auxiliary where she served in a variety of leadership roles. Her greatest attribute was her warm personality and great smile. She would literally talk to anybody and feel like they were now a friend of hers when she walked away. While her children were growing up she affectionately became “Ma Cooner” because of her constant support of her kids and their teammates. In 1987 she was preceded in death by her husband. She continued volunteering at the Dells Delton Methodist Church where she had been a lifelong member and became very active in Senior Citizen activities. Ivol had heart and diabetes problems for over 20 years surviving numerous heart failures, 2 triple bypass operations and many other heart surgeries. During all of these setbacks she maintained her upbeat attitude and her tremendous love for family and friends. Her favorite word was “Grammy” because she loved her many grandchildren so deeply. Up until she physically could not do it anymore, Ivol loved to bowl and so enjoyed the friendships that she made along the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Ron Richards and his wife, Vanessa; brother in law, William Kent; sister in law, Jean Blood and a granddaughter, Wendy (the Cahoon family’s very special angel).
Ivol’s pain is over now and she leaves behind many loving memories for family and friends. She joins the only “cowboy” she ever loved - her husband of over 40 years and our “very special angel – Wendy”.
