Gregory Davison

Gregory Davison, age 50 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin formerly of Madison, Wisconsin died Friday, January 30, 2004 at the Wisconsin Dells Health and Rehabilitation Center .

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Reverend Ronald Breight celebrating. Burial will be at Lyndon Station Village cemetery .

Gregory was born December 3, 19 53 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Gerald and Rosemarie (Decorah) Davison. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and was honorably discharged. Most recently he had worked for the Williams Dental Lab in Madison .

Greg is survived by his mother, Rosemarie of Wisconsin Dells; sisters, Connie (Anthony) Winneshiek of Friendship, Wisconsin and Peggy (Jim Campbell) Davison and numerous friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station on Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.

Wiktoria Nowaczynski

Wiktoria Nowaczynski, age 86 formerly of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Friday, January 9, 2004 at the Wisconsin Dells Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station with Father Ronald Zinkle, S.J. officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery.

Wiktoria was born May 19, 1917 in Poland and she was married to Jan Nowaczynski. He preceded her in death in June of 2001.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 from 5 to 7 P.M. with a prayer service held at 7 P.M.

John "Jack" Heimel

John “Jack” Heimel, age 88 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at St. Clare Hospital of Baraboo, Wisconsin.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Father Ronald Zinkle, S.J. officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery in Lyndon Station. Military rites will be provided by the Maurice C. Havey VFW Post 5970 of Lyndon Station.

Jack was born September 1, 1915 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin the son of Jacob and Cecilia (Hoedel) Heimel. He joined the U.S. Army in 1941 and was honorably discharged in 1944. In April of 1958 he married Anna Resac and they moved to a farm in rural Lyndon Station. She preceded him in death in June of 2001. For many years Jack worked around the Dells area and retired in 1980 from the Dells Boat Company.

Jack is survived by stepchildren, Frank Levy of Sunnyvale, California, Victor Levy of Twain Hart, California and Sharon (Steven) Kautzch of Grand Junction, Colorado; and a nephew, John R. (Merry) Heimel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna; sister, Mary Heimel; infant sister, Ann Cecilia Heimel; and stepdaughters, Marlene Ryczek and Betty Moldenhauer.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 10:30 A.M.

Arnold Rettammel

Arnold Rettammel, age 86 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at the Tomah Veterans Hospital .

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Lyndon Station with Reverend Ronald Breight officiating. Burial will be at Lyndon Station Village cemetery . Military rites will be provided by the Maurice C. Havey VFW Post 5970 of Lyndon Station.

Arnie was born December 8, 1917 in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin the son of August and Ernstina (Wendland) Rettammel. He entered the U.S. Army in October of 1940 and was honorably discharged in August of 1945. In 1950 he moved with his family to Chicago, Illinois and was a radio and television repairman. He retired in 1982 and returned to Lyndon Station. Arnie was a life and charter member of the Maurice C. Havey VFW Post 5970 of Lyndon Station; member of the Disabled American Veterans; member of the 32nd Red Arrow Division of Veterans Association and member of the West Castle Rock Lake Lions Club. Arnie loved fishing and hunting; taking rides in the country; having fun with children and he especially loved his cat, Tweety.

Arnie is survived by a son, Richard (Susan) and daughter, Dana (Ronald) Randle, both of Huntersville, North Carolina ; a sister, Ida Buehler of Janesville, Wisconsin ; grandchildren, Christopher, Janelle, and Briana Randle and Timothy Rettammel; and former wife, Isabelle. He was preceded in death by his parents; adopted son, Daniel; brothers, Edward, William, Arthur, Norman and August H. Jr.; sisters, Eva Heiden; 2 infant sisters; and half sisters, Elsie O’Leary and Mabel Halvey.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station on Thursday, December 18, 2003 from 4 to 8 P.M. and on Friday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 10:30 A.M.

James "Jim" Williams

James “Jim” Williams, age 58 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Friday, December 12, 2003 at Meriter Park Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin .

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station with Reverend Daniel R. Dibbert officiating. Following the traditional services Jim will be cremated.

Jim was born July 23, 1945 in Waukesha, Wisconsin the son of Norbert and Lois ( Moore ) Williams and grew up in Waukesha . In August of 1963 he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant 4 years later. In September of 1965 he married Patricia Low. After his military service he worked at the Waukesha Foundry and retired from there in 1994 as an inspector at which time he moved to Lyndon Station. He then was employed at Teel Plastics in Baraboo, Wisconsin . Jim loved corvettes; enjoyed collecting baseball cards and was a devoted New York Yankees fan. He also was a past steelworkers union president.

Jim was a loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Patricia; a son, Victor of Greendale, Wisconsin; a daughter, Michelle (James) Kollath of Hubertus, Wisconsin ; a brother, Richard “Dick” (Kathryn) Williams of Waukesha and grandchildren, Kurtis and Molly Kollath. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.

Margaret Kelly

Margaret Kelly, age 67 of Franklin, Tennessee, formerly of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Monday, November 24, 2003 in Tennessee .

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station with Father Steven H. Baures officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic cemetery .

Margaret was born January 16, 1936 in Mauston, Wisconsin the daughter of Thomas and Margaret ( Murray ) Bohen. In August of 1953 she married Eugene Kelly in Lyndon Station and he preceded her in death in October of 1984. For many years Margaret was a registered nurse at the Milwaukee County Hospital . She later moved back to Lyndon Station and the past few years relocated to Tennessee to be near her family.

Margaret is survived by her son, Eugene (Jennifer) Kelly and a daughter, Maureen Kelly, both of Franklin, Tennessee; brothers, Eugene Bohen of Wisconsin Dells, Edward Bohen of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Richard Bohen of Gary, Indiana; a sister, Kathleen (Roger) Frank of Reedsburg, Wisconsin and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, a brother, Michael Bohen and a sister, Mary Ellen Krueger.

Visitation will be held at Conway Picha Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 10:00 A.M. with the rosary recited at 9:30 A.M.

Ruby Lincoln

Ruby Lincoln, (Sox Minak “Sits Rattling”), age 83 of Tomah, Wisconsin died Sunday, November 2, 2003 at Glendale Heights, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Native American Church in Wisconsin Dells with Morgan WhiteEagle officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove cemetery in Tomah, Wisconsin.

Ruby was born June 25, 1920 in Wyeville, Wisconsin the daughter of Lee and Connie (Blackhawk) LittleSam. In July of 1941 she married David Lincoln, Jr. He preceded her in death in January of 1969. She had worked as a nurses aide for 20 years at the Tomah Veterans Hospital until her retirement. Ruby was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was a generous and dedicated church member/officer. She knew and valued her relatives and friends, believed in people and saw the good in everyone.

Ruby is survived by a son, Jeffrey E. Lincoln of Black River Falls, Wisconsin; daughters, Helene Lincoln of Tomah, Janice (George) Rice of Stoughton, Wisconsin, MaryAnn Dick of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, LaVonne Lincoln of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Karen (Roberto) Michel of Glendale Heights, Illinois; a sister, Violet Sam of Augusta, Wisconsin; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Carl and Gerald; an infant brother; sisters, Christiane Williams and Marie WhiteEagle and a granddaughter, Janelle Beaudin.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 from 1 to 4 P.M.

Nancy Kasbohm

Nancy “Boots” Kasbohm, age 69 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Thursday, October 30, 2003 at the St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Boots was born December 23, 1933 in Escanaba, Michigan the daughter of John and Millie (Vitsky) Grandsham. In August of 1959 she married William Kasbohm. She worked in Escanaba until moving to Lyndon Station in 1976 where she operated Kasbohm Kozy Korner trailer court until 1983. After this she worked as a nurses aide at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.

Boots is survived by her husband, William; a son, William III of Montfort, Wisconsin; a daughter, Angel Kasbohm of Lyndon Station; and sisters, Alice (Dave) Hardwood of Rapid River, Michigan and June Spier of Maryland. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Hank and Jack.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Wisconsin Dells Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation will be held at the Picha Funeral Home of Lake Delton, Wisconsin on Sunday, November 2, 2003 from 2 to 4 P.M.

Catherine "Kay" Palmer

Catherine “Kay” Palmer, age 89 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin formerly of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at the Wisconsin Dells Health and Rehabilitation Center.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 17, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon Station with Father Ronald Zinkle, S.J. officiating. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery in Wisconsin Dells.

Kay was born November 22, 1913 in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin the daughter of Anthony and Rose (Hudzinski) Szymanowski. Kay was married to Jack Magera and he preceded her in death. They had owned and operated restaurants in the Twin Lakes, Wisconsin and Richmond, Illinois area. She later married Ray Palmer. Together they operated a group home for disabled veteran’s called the Black Forest Inn near Lyndon Station from 1968 to 1980. He preceded her in death in 1986. She had been a member of the Harold B. Larkin American Legion Post 187 Auxiliary of Wisconsin Dells. Kay will long be remembered as an independent and strong willed person.

Kay is survived by a daughter, Mary Jean (Wayne) Ulrich of Lake Delton, Wisconsin; a brother, Paul (Gloria) Szymanowski of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a sister, Agnes Tatera of Wisconsin Dells; grandchildren, Peggy, Michelle, Christine and Douglas; 9 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a son, Gerald; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 10:30 A.M.

Orbert Goodbear

Orbert Goodbear, age 58 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Monday, September 29, 2003 at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center .

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 12:00 Noon at Orbert’s residence at W2302 Raedel Lane of rural Wisconsin Dells with Richard Mann officiating. Burial will be at the Indian Baptist Church cemetery . Military rites will be accorded by the Andrew Blackhawk American Legion Post 129 of Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

Orbert was born April 27, 1945 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin the son of Archie and Delphine (Swallow) Goodbear. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and spent 4 years as a combat soldier in Vietnam . Following military service he attended University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and earned an associates degree. Recently he had been employed as a computer technician at HoChunk Casino. Orbert was a man of a lot of humor and he never said anything bad about others. He followed the traditional Native American ways and had a good understanding with the Creator. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Orbert will be dearly be missed by his wife, Barbara; a son, Dana of Tomah, Wisconsin; daughters, Audrey of Madison, Wisconsin, Julia of Baraboo, Wisconsin, Ginger of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, Melanie, Roselene, Lisa and Emily all of Wisconsin Dells; his mother, Delphine of Wisconsin Dells; a sister, Lera (Tom) Hopinkah of Madison; brothers, Cleland (Liza) of Tomah, Doran (Linda), Verlyn and Blair of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and LeRoy (Sherilyn) Ziemet Goodbear of Lovington, Illinois; 7 grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister, Muriel.

Visitation will be held at W2302 Raedel Lane on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 12 Noon .
