Doris Nordmark

Doris Nordmark, age 84 formerly of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the Willows Nursing Home in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Graveside memorial funeral services will be held Sunday, May 16, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at the Plymouth cemetery of rural Mauston, Wisconsin with Vicar Joan Wittrock celebrating.

Doris was born September 22, 1919 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin the daughter of Clyde and Janet (Wright) Umphrey and she grew up in Onalaska, Wisconsin.

Doris is survived by her sons, Alvin “Butch” of Ripon, Wisconsin, Jerome (Rita) of Sun Prairie, Theodore Jr. (Frankie) of Jacksonville, Florida and Warren of North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; sister, Fern (Les) Luedtke of Woodstock, Illinois; grandchildren, Joseph (Bonnie) Nordmark, Janet (Scott) Briese, Brandy, Jessica and Daniel Nordmark, Steven, Jaime and Thomas Willkomm, Linda (Jim) Christy, James Pugh, Aaron (Denise) Nordmark and Gretchen (Kevin) Paulus; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Francis and a sister, Lucille Lee.

Betty Miller

Betty Miller, age 70 of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin died Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Reverend Dennis Schueler celebrating. Cremation will follow the traditional services.

Betty was born June 15, 1933 in LaValle, Wisconsin the daughter of Raymond and Lila (Clark) Gardner. In April of 1960 she married Marvin Miller in Staten Island, New York. He preceded her in death in October of 2002. Betty enjoyed her family, traveling to Georgia, bowling, reading and working in her flower and vegetable gardens.

Betty is survived by her sons, Michael (Laurie) Miller and Chad Geisen both of Wisconsin Rapids, Cyril Granahan of Marshfield, Wisconsin; daughters, Terry (Steven) Schultz of Lake Delton and Maureen (Alan) Hauge of Acworth, Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher (Myesha) Schultz, Matthew (Mary Claire) Schultz, Nathan and Rachel Schultz, Erik and Joy Hauge, Trevor and Autumn Miller and Joshua Smith; great grandchildren, Lanaia and Drake Schultz; brothers, Kenneth (Kathy) Gardner of Reedsburg, Wisconsin and Raymond (Bobbie) Gardner of Tom’s River, New Jersey and sister, Barbara Schantz of Wisconsin Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Debra Miller.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.

Dale Secco, Sr.

Dale Allen Secco, Sr., age 44 of Mauston, Wisconsin died Monday, April 19, 2004 at the Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston following a brief illness.

Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at 6:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Reverend Jeffrey Fairchild celebrating.

Dale was born September 8, 1959 in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania the son of Armand Secco and Anna Picklesimer (Sidelinger). Dale’s interests included engine repair, woodworking and gardening. He was loved by many people and will be missed dearly.

Dale is survived by his son, U.S.M.C. Sgt. Dale Secco of Norfolk, Virginia; daughters, Tiffany Slaughenhaupt of St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania and Amy Lynn Secco of Chicago, Illinois; granddaughter, Aliyah Breanne Secco; lifetime partner, Donna Tyger and children, Dan Tyger of Rossiter, Pennsylvania, Brian Tyger of Dubois, Pennsylvania, Mike Tyger of Kersey, Pennsylvania, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Gregory and James Secco of St. Mary’s; sisters, Ginger Thomas of Pasadena, Maryland, Marcella Singer of Emporium, Pennsylvania and Doreen Harris of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Secco.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 P.M. until the time of service at 6:00 P.M.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Janis Gray

Janis Gray, age 70 of rural Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Friday, April 2, 2004 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station with Father Ronald Zinkle, S.J. celebrating. Burial will be at the Zur Ruhe cemetery in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

Janis was born January 23, 1934 in Crandon, Wisconsin the daughter of Lyle and Antoinette (Sprohar) Bushweiler. She married Robert Gray in 1956. For many years Janis was a registered nurse and later worked for Blue Cross Insurance.

Janis is survived by her brothers, Lyle of Lyndon Station and Gary of Placerville, California; nephews, Lee (Michelle) Bushweiler of Baraboo, Wisconsin and Larry Bushweiler of Lyndon Station and a great niece, Kayla. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Ronald McDonald House.

Thomas Soltis

Thomas H. Soltis, age 58 of North Hudson, Wisconsin died Monday, March 15, 2004 from esophageal cancer.

Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin.

Thomas was born February 13, 1946 in Mauston, Wisconsin the son of Sydney and Adamarion (Soronsen) Soltis. After graduating from high school Thomas enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and honorably served during the Vietnam era. He had worked as a salesman for Marinemax, Inc. in Oakdale, Minnesota.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Gay; daughter, Kerry (Tony) Tagliatela of Layfette, Colorado; grandchildren, Sydney and Ryleigh Tagliatela; stepchildren, Valerie (Shawn) Tracy and their son, Patrick, Jim Bostock and Michelle Bostock; brothers, Sid and David and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 Noon until time of service at 2:00 P.M.

Glen Gotowitz

Glen Gotowitz, age 60 of rural Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at the Hess Memorial Hospital of Mauston, Wisconsin.

Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 11:30 A.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station with Father Ronald Zinkle, S.J. celebrating.

Glen was born June 7, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Arthur and Marion (Czerwinski) Gotowitz and he grew up in Milwaukee later moving to Richfield, Wisconsin where he owned and operated a trucking business for over 20 years. In May of 1969 he married Arlene Mueller in Colgate, Wisconsin . In 1999 they moved to rural Lyndon Station where they enjoyed retirement. Glen collected knives and pewter cars and enjoyed fishing.

Glen is survived by his wife, Arlene; mother, Marion Knitter of Mauston; brother, Eugene (Colleen) Gotowitz of Elm Grove, Wisconsin; sister, Christine Knitter of Milwaukee; nieces, Jennifer (Jon) Pollock and Dawn (Nick) Zehren; great nieces, Katherine and Claire; brothers in law, Kenneth (Donna) Mueller, Donald (Betty) Mueller and Lawrence Mueller; sisters in law, Diane (Kenneth) Wieglein and Beverly (Ralph) Hall and many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his father and step father, Jerome Knitter.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11:30 A.M.

Wilbert Rathman

Wilbert Rathman, age 63 of rural Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at his residence.

Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station with Reverend Steven Keller celebrating.

Wilbert was born July 20, 1940 in Wonewoc, Wisconsin the son of Wilbert and Gladys (Montgomery) Rathman. In March of 1978 he married Glenna Luetkens in Lena, Illinois. Wilbert enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved his grandchildren.

Wilbert is survived by his wife, Glenna; sons, Cory (Michelle) of LaValle, Wisconsin, Jamie and Curtis both of Baraboo, Wisconsin and a stepson, Charles (Kelli) Nolden of Reedsburg, Wisconsin; a daughter, Nadine (Jim) Edmunds of Powell, Wyoming; brothers, Ken (Diane) and Allen (Ginny) both of Baraboo and Bob (Gloria) of Mokean, Illinois; sisters, Shirley (Jon) Bump and Ramona (Oliver) Burton both of Baraboo and Susie (Bob) Herritz of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; and grandchildren, Alex, Paige, Samantha and Colin. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dave.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home of Lyndon Station on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.

Ernest "Slim" Southern

Ernest “Slim” Southern, age 81 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Thursday, November 25, 2004 at his residence.

A memorial gathering will be held Monday, November 29, 2004 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin. Military rites will be provided by the Maurice C. Havey V.F.W. Post 5970 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin.

Slim was born January 1, 1923 in Pony, Montana the son of Ray and Leela (Jackson) Southern. He grew up in Mauston, Wisconsin and lived most of his life near Lyndon Station. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War 2 as a bomb deactivator, helping keep the waters safe from mines. In 1960 he married Bernice Darbutas-Chasas. She preceded him in death in 1986. For many years Slim worked in Madison, Wisconsin at Ohmeda Medical as a machinist. He loved the out doors, especially gardening, hunting and fishing.

Slim is survived by a son, Chuck (D.J. Russell) Chasas of Lyndon Station; a daughter, Jan (Dan) Rosenthal of Baraboo, Wisconsin; sister, Virginia Jax of Mauston; grandchildren, Crystal Chasas, Chuck Chasas, Jr. and Danna Rosenthal; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Louise Lange of Reedsburg, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and twin brother, Ray.

Larry Bushweiler

Larry Bushweiler, age 34 of rural Lyndon Station, Wisconsin died Friday, November 12, 2004 at his residence.

Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station with Pastor Steve Ohrtman celebrating.

Larry was born May 30, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Lyle and Lore (Heer) Bushweiler. He was a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. His career interests led him to acting and the theater.

Larry is survived by his father, Lyle of Lyndon Station; brother, Lee (Michelle) Bushweiler and their daughter, Kayla of North Freedom, Wisconsin; and an uncle, Walter Heer of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 P.M. until the time of service at 2 P.M.

George Sine

George Sine, age 92 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Friday, November 5, 2004 at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 8, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Indian Baptist Church in Wisconsin Dells with Reverend Marilyn Merrill celebrating. Burial will be at the Indian Baptist Church cemetery.

George was born September 28, 1912 in Thurston County, Nebraska the son of George and Ollie (Hatchett) Sine. He was married to Mary Littlebear and she preceded him in death in May of 1981. George was a quiet man. His family, church and his devout faith in God were the most important things in his life.

George is survived by sons, Riley (Mae) Sine of Perkins, Oklahoma and Richard Sine of Wisconsin Dells; daughters, Sybil Winneshiek of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, Cecilia Sine and Annie (Lance) Tallmadge both of Wisconsin Dells, Roberta (Al) Chrisjohn of North Bay, Ontario, Ollie (Kip) Heth of Carthage, Missouri and Elaine Sine of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; a brother, Carson Sine of Aurora, Colorado; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Samson and Morris; and sisters, Virginia, Ollie Mae and Cecelia.

Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin on Sunday from 3 to 7 P.M. and on Monday at the Indian Baptist Church from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.
