Eberle, Irene Anna Koeppel

IDDLETON - Irene Anna Koeppel Eberle, age 88, passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Sunny Hill Health Care Center. She was born in Roxbury Township on Nov. 5, 1917, the daughter of John and Minnie (Loye) Koeppel. Irene married Karl Eberle on Nov. 14, 1939. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Irene's most important job was raising her family. She was a wonderful cook and will be remembered for her special breads and sweet rolls. Irene was a tireless worker and after her husband died, in February 1969, she learned to drive and worked at Gimbels Restaurant in Hilldale. Irene sold Avon products and did house cleaning jobs and child care in her neighborhood. She will be missed by her family and friends. Irene is survived by her three daughters, Betty (Edward) Lambert of Madison, Patricia (Edward) Pertzborn of Mazomanie and Anna (Edward) Delabarre of Madison; son, Karl Eberle of Oregon; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Klinger of Madison, Dorothy Littel of Madison and Evelyn Pertzborn of Lodi; brother, Robert Koeppel of Poynette; two sisters-in-law, Anna (Alois) Eberle of Beaver Dam and Angeline (Thomas) Eberle of Watertown; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl; sisters, Loretta Drunasky, Bernice Walker and Cecilia Foster; and brother, Anthony Koeppel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, with Monsignor Terrance L. Connors officiating. Elliott, Robert E.

RICHLAND CENTER - Robert E. Elliott, age 77, of Richland Center, died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005. He was born in Richland Center on Nov. 29, 1928, the son of Clair Heck Elliott and Madeline Dieter. Survivors include his wife, Beata Ann Elliott of Richland Center; his children, Robert Stephen (Noah) Elliott of Macedon, N.Y., Leslie Vance of Holladay, Utah, Stephanie Jo Davis of Cottage Grove, Laurie Lee Stephens Vance of Madison and David Christopher (Pamela) Elliott of Columbus; grandchildren, Robert Eugene Elliott II, Kristin Davis, Brian Davis, Angelica (Edward) Stephens Hoskin, Nathan Christopher Elliott, Amanda Pamela Elliott and Connar Walter Elliott; great-grandchildren, Grace Anne Hoskin and Gavin Moore; two sisters, Donna Noble of Richland Center and her children, Kelly, Nancy, John, Greg and Dan and Betty Dukerschein of Waukegan, Ill. and her children, Erling and Kathy; and his sister and brother in law, Karren and Robert Zimmerman of Dodgeville and their children, Suzanne, Sandra, Michael, Jeffery and John. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, in Richland Center. Pastors Jeanne Jones and Bob Foote will officiate. Burial will be in the English Ridge cemetery. Family and friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be made at.

Flood, Vera Belle "Cooky"

LAKE MILLS - Vera Belle "Cooky" Flood, age 86, of Lake Mills, died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Fort Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept. 23, 1919, in Glendive, Mont. Vera Belle attended grade school in Mundelein, Ill., and graduated from Libertyville High School in Libertyville, Ill. Cooky married Donald E. Flood of Gurnee, Ill. on June 24, 1939, in Mundelein at the First Congregational Church. He died on Aug. 27, 1999. She had worked at the Mundelein Shoe Factory and Dobe Tree Farm in Illinois. She and her husband moved to the Town of Milford in 1946 and farmed there until retirement. Vera Belle will best be remembered for driving the Lake Mills school buses for 24 years. She also had worked for the Doyne & Rayne Lumber Company until 1979. She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and had been a member of the Hooper's Mill Canasta Club for more than 50 years. She also was a member of the Milford Mother's Club, Pyramid Homemakers Club and the Neighborhood Homemakers Club. Survivors include four sons, Richard A. (Shari), James E., both of Lake Mills, Gary E. (Caroline) of Cambridge and Charles E. (Diane) of Verona; two daughters, Donna L. (Ron) Rife of Marinette and Bette Jo (Metwaly) Sheta of Oviedo, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Harberts of Dunedin, Fla.; sister-in-law, Ruth Flood of Lake Mills; brother-in-law, David Flood of Oconomowoc; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn and an infant sister; brother, William; and a grandson, Paul E. Flood. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, Lake Mills, with the Rev. Neil D. Partington officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Lake cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the CLAUSSEN FUNERAL HOME and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Memorials would be appreciated to the church.

George, Bernadine J. Sierra

PLATTEVILLE - Bernadine J. Sierra George, age 85, of Platteville died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare, Fitchburg. She was the daughter of Ben and Rose (Fox) Gehrke. She is survived by a sister, Ethel Mae Butson of Platteville. She was the beloved mother of Lynette (Dan) Murray of Laurel, Md., Lewis (Avis) Sierra of Racine, Vicky (Kerry) Dunn of Madison, Ron (Marilyn) Sierra of Kenosha, Jodine (Merle) Mosley of Odessa, Mo. And Jolene (Geoff) Jackson of Charlottesville, Va.; and further survived by 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at 2 p.m. at WESTVIEW METHODIST CHURCH, Platteville. An extensive obituary will appear in the Platteville Journal. The Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville is serving the family.

Kanter, Florence "Fluzzie"

MONONA - Florence "Fluzzie" Kanter died at the age of 86 on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005. She was born on July 15, 1919, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Roseanne and Hyman Chern. She married Merwin Kanter in 1941. Fluzzie attended the University of Minnesota. She spent most of her married life in the military where her husband was in the Air Force, moving 14 times in 17 years, three of them being spent in Japan. After her husband's death in 1957, she moved with her three children to Madison, worked for an architect and later for the Police Foundation. She spent most of her adventurous life in the pursuit of having fun and insuring that others did also. Whether canoeing, camping, sailing, ice skating, or skiing, she was always the life of the party. Other favorite activities included swimming in Lake Monona, traveling in her RV with her sisters, and smoking. Her passion for classical music, especially string quartets, was an ever-present part of her life. Fluzzie's free spirit attitude toward life and unique sense of humor will always be remembered. She is survived by two sons, Ronald of Telluride, Colo. and Joe of Stevens Point; and a daughter, Judy Thornton of Chicago, Ill. She is further survived by grandchildren, Ted, Mindy and Laurie; great-grandson, Parker; sister, Toby Flasher; brother, Joe Chern; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Sophie, Abe and Idell. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. She donated her body to the University of Wisconsin Anatomy Department. A celebration of Fluzzie's "wild and crazy" life will be held at the Green Lantern Restaurant in McFarland, on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to Wisconsin Public Radio-Classics by Requests, 821 University Ave., Madison, WI 53715.

Keehn, Hazel M.

BELLEVILLE - Hazel M. Keehn, age 83, of Belleville, passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Skaalen Home, Stoughton. Hazel was born April 25, 1922, in Primrose Township, the daughter of Henry and Clara Slotten Jelle. She attended Primrose Center School. On Dec. 5, 1944, she was united in marriage to Harold W. Keehn at the Daleyville Lutheran Parsonage by the Rev. Lavik. She was employed by Stuessy's Market and Hoesly's Meats for many years until retiring. Hazel was a life-long member of the Primrose Lutheran Church, the WELCA and the RSVP. She enjoyed helping others and spent many hours knitting for RSVP and others, quilting with several organizations and volunteering at the Albany Thrift Shop. Hazel is survived by her children, Walter and Sharon Keehn of Stoughton, Jeanna and Wayne Hook of Oregon and Susan and Tim Sullivan of DeForest; her grandchildren, Kevin and Teri Keehn, Janice Keehn, Jeff Keehn, Kathy Keehn, Jason and Sue Hook, Heather Hook, Shannon Sullivan and Kim Sullivan; her great-grandchildren, Spenser and Jacob Keehn and Eric and Noah Hook; brothers, Elmer (Rose) Jelle of Muscoda and Orvin (Hannah) Jelle of Belleville; sisters, Bernice Jelle and Lyles Solberg of Belleville; a sister-in-law, Elsie Fahrney of Janesville; a brother-in-law, Marvin Keehn of Evansville; and many nieces and nephews. She as preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1972; and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at the PRIMROSE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8770 Ridge Drive, Belleville. The Rev. Kathy Jacobson will officiate with burial in the Primrose East cemetery. Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank everyone who made it possible for Hazel to remain in her home. A special thank you to Holly. Kreger, Terry L.

CUBA CITY - Terry L. Kreger, age 51, of Cuba City, died on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Terry was born on July 9, 1954, in Portage, the son of Earl and Nannette (Weider) Kreger. He married Martha Johll on May 15, 1976, at St. Marys Church in Portage. Terry graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1972. He was a self-employed contractor. Terry was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 765, of which he was a former Grand Knight. He was also a member of the Southwest Sportsman Club and the Cassville Conservation Club. He loved spending his time hunting, fishing and trapshooting. Terry especially loved going up north to Danbury with his family. Survivors include his wife, Martha of Cuba City; a son, Josh (Kristy) Kreger of Oswego, Ill.; two daughters, Katie Kreger and Sarah Kreger, both at home; his parents, Earl (stepmother Colleen) Kreger of Cambria; a sister, Robin Kreger of Portage; two brothers, Randy (Ellen) Kreger of Onalaska and Jon Kreger of Baraboo; and a granddaughter, Alexandra. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nannette; and a brother, Tim. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at ST. ROSE OF LIMA CHURCH in Cuba City, with the Rev. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at the church, where the parish wake service will be at 1 p.m. Friends may also call on Monday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the CASEY FUNERAL HOME in Cuba City. In lieu of flowers, a Terry L. Kreger Memorial Fund has been established.

Kube, Rodney Allen

PRAIRIE DU SAC - Rodney Allen Kube, age 60, died on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. He was born in Watertown on Aug. 14, 1945, the son of Elmer and Helen (Lenius) Kube. He was united in marriage to Barbara F. Wilson. Rod served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years, seven active and 13 in the reserves. He was a member of the Prairie du Sac Fire Department and Lachmund-Cramer V.F.W. Post 7694, where he was a life member and past commander. Rod was employed by Schwan's Home Foods for 26 years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Prairie du Sac; a son, Steven of Johnson Creek; his parents, Elmer and Helen Kube of Watertown; a brother, Bob (Mary) Kube of Watertown; two sisters, Beverly (Bob) Spoehr of Watertown and Nancy (Floyd) Block of Waukesha; special nieces and nephews, Amber, Miranda and Dylan; numerous other nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005. Burial, with military rites conducted by Lachmund-Cramer V.F.W. Post 7694, will follow in the Sauk City cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Link, Agnella T.

COLUMBUS - Agnella T. Link, age 93, died on Friday, Dec. 9 2005, at the Columbus Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Dec. 27, 1911, in the town of Bristol, to Charles and Anna (Miller) Moreth. She was a 1930 graduate of Sun Prairie High School and a graduate of Columbia County Normal Teachers College. She taught grade school at Maple Knoll in Dane County for four years. Agnella was married to Edwin J. Link on June 12, 1934, in East Bristol. She farmed with her husband for many years in the town of Hampden, and was employed seasonally at the Wisconsin Cheeseman, in Sun Prairie, from 1958 until 1998. She also was employed seasonally at canning companies in Columbus and Cambria. She worked at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue during the tax season for several years. Agnella was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and its Altar Society where she often volunteered in the kitchen for church and community events. She was a former president of the Christian Mothers in East Bristol. She loved the outdoors, farming, and animals. Agnella was a devoted Brewers fan and enjoyed the television shows of "Jeopardy, " "Wheel of Fortune, " "Family Feud, " and "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." Survivors include three daughters, Bernice (Jack) Seaman of Waupun, with whom she spent her last years, Marian (Kenneth) Mann of Mukwonago and Joyce (Ronald) Graff of Sun Prairie; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin, in 1982; a sister, Anna Schmied; a brother, Gilbert Moreth; and a grandson, Peter Seaman. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at the JONES JENSEN FUNERAL HOME, Columbus, where a rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at ST. JEROME CATHOLIC CHURCH, Columbus with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Rev Bruce Hennington will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic cemetery in East Bristol. Meuer, Lavon Lewis

DODGEVILLE - Lavon Lewis Meuer, age 88, of Dodgeville, passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at Upland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May 31, 1917, in Ridgeway, a daughter of the late Jack and Ann (Johnson) Love. In 1936, she married Gomer Lewis. Their children are Edith (DuWayne) Jacobson of Ridgeway and Cole Lewis of Florida. Gomer preceded in her in death in 1959. She married Joseph Meuer, who preceded her in death in 1991. They had a son, Michael Meuer of Dodgeville. Lavon worked at Burgess Battery in Mineral Point and also at Janlin Plastics, in Mount Horeb, until she was 80 years old. Lavon is also survived by her brother, Edward (Karen) Love of Madison; her grandchildren, Sandy, Penny, Jill, Jay, Larry, Laurie, Doug, Dawn, Jodi and Sami; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannette Evans; her son, Alan "Buzz" Lewis; and her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Frank Trainor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at ST. BRIDGET'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Ridgeway. Father Tait Schroeder will officiate. Inurnment will be held in Eastside cemetery in Ridgeway at a later date. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday at the church. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Upland Hills for the wonderful and loving care that they gave her and especially the ladies who were on duty during her last precious days. Najdowski, Lois A.

JANESVILLE - Lois A. Najdowski, age 72, of 2121 N. Harmony Dr., died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at home. She was born in Blaine, Ill., on Dec. 6, 1933, the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Woods) Nettleton. She married Don Najdowski on May 5, 1984, in Madison. She was a Janesville resident since 1992, before that living in Madison and coming to Wisconsin from the Belvidere area. She worked at many area factories and businesses, she was a member of the Faith Community Church, Women of the Moose, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. She is survived by her husband, Don; three sons, Gary A. (Sheila) Gay of Rockford, Ill., Dennis (Jackie) Gay of Rockford, Ill. and William (Julie) Varble of Belvidere, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth (Wally) Nettleton of Belvidere, Ill. and Donald Nettleton, of Mendota, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH, with the Rev. Jerry Dean presiding. Interment will be in Milton Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME.
