Kenneth Dolgner

Kenneth Dolgner, age 58 of Montello, Wisconsin died Monday, March 31, 2003 at University Hospital of Madison, Wisconsin.

A memorial celebration of Ken’s life will be held Sunday, April 13, 2003 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Harrisville Lion's Club in Harrisville, Wisconsin . According to his wishes Ken was cremated.

Ken was born March 7, 1945 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin the son of Harold and Bernice (Nelson) Dolgner. In 1965 he married Sandra Dreier in Brandon, Wisconsin .

Ken is survived by his wife, Sandy; sons, Steve (Andrea) of Westfield and Jesse at home; a daughter, Annette (Jared) Roberts of Harrisville; his mother, Bernice Dolgner of Waupun, Wisconsin; brothers, Eugene of Dalton, Wisconsin, Leroy (Jeanie) of Waupun and Richard of Green Bay; and grandchildren, Dustin and Anna Dolgner and Alayne and Isabella Roberts. He was preceded in death by his father.

Wilma Osborn

Wilma Osborn, age 97 of Bloomingdale, Michigan and previously Madison, Wisconsin went to join her Lord and Master Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at the Metron Nursing Home, Bloomingdale.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oxford Bible Church in Oxford with Reverend Daniel Menzer officiating. Burial will be at the Oxford Village cemetery .

Wilma was born July 15, 1905 in Brooks, Wisconsin the daughter of William and Cora (Jones) Osborn. She graduated from the Christian Endeavor Academy in 1921 and then went to Madison and attended the Madison Business School . She then went on to work for the Reliance Insurance Company in Monroe, Wisconsin . General Casualty bought out Reliance and Wilma worked there for 42 years. She was a charter member of the Blackhawk Evangelical Free Church of Madison since 1965. Through the years she lived and practiced her Christian faith. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Wilma is survived by nieces, Doris and Terry Gray, Bernice York, Kathleen Marsceau, Shirley O’Donnell and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bernice and Clara; brother, Chester; brother in law, George Gray; sister in law, Nellie Osborn; foster sister, Katie Russell; and nephews, Reverend Willard Gray and Dr. Merlin O. Gray.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Lawrence Bible Church, Box 323, Lawrence, Michigan 49064 . All money will be used to buy bibles to be distributed in unevangelized countries.

Visitation will be held at Oxford Bible Church on Saturday from 10 to 11 A.M.

Lena Conger

Lena Conger, age 97 of Oxford, Wisconsin died Thursday, February 20, 2003 at her sons residence in Madison, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oxford Bible Church in Oxford with Reverend Donald Wedel officiating. Burial will be at the Oxford Village cemetery.

Lena was born November 16, 1905 in rural Oxford, Wisconsin the daughter of Herman and Louise (Klutz) Groskreutz. In 1924 she married Henry Conger and lived in Oxford all her life. Lena operated a bait business in Oxford for many years, taking over from her son. She lived her life to the fullest everyday, was a hard worker and stayed active up to the end. She cared for her own home, did her own housework and important things to her were faith, family, sharing food with others and plants and flowers.

Lena is survived by her sons, Duane (Joanne) Conger of Madison and Allan (Carol) Conger of Shakopee, Minnesota; a sister, Lillian Thome of Oxford; a grandson, Dennis Conger; a granddaughter, Mary Cohen; great grandchildren, Satya and Lance Conger and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry; and brothers, Harry, Clarence, Alvin and Walter.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Bible Church on Saturday from 1 P.M. until the time of service at 2 P.M.

Robert Fowler

Robert Fowler, age 80 of Oxford, Wisconsin died Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 17, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Endeavor United Church of Christ in Endeavor, Wisconsin with Reverend Jeffrey Nicholas and Carolyn M.R. Kennedy co-officiating. Burial will be at the Hill Crest cemetery in Endeavor.

Robert was born November 11, 1922 in Elroy, Wisconsin the son of Lloyd and Meta (Nelson) Fowler. He grew up in Janesville, Wisconsin and graduated from schools there. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War 2. In October of 1948 he married Olga Kleven in Janesville. He worked for many years for general motors and retired as a plant manager in 1978. In Janesville Robert was very active with baseball, softball, golf and bowling leagues and he loved to fish. Robert and his wife moved permanently to Oxford in 1993 where they had been spending most weekends since 1962. Robert was a member of the Neenah Valley Memorial Post 6003 of Oxford, Wisconsin and the Montello American Legion.

Robert is survived by his wife, Olga; nephews, Gary (Pattie) Fowler of Madison, Wisconsin, Jeff (Lori) Fowler of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Brad (Lachel) Fowler of Beloit, Wisconsin and Rick (Paula) Anderson and Craig Fowler both of Janesville; nieces, Cindy (Jim) Staton of Zionsville, Indiana, Candy (Tom) Schaeffer of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Cheri (Brian) Wolnick and Karen (Robert) Pennycook both of Janesville; and a sister in law, Beverly Fowler of Beloit. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Vivian Minnick, Lorraine Anderson and Viola Fowler; and brothers, Everett Fowler and Lloyd Fowler, Jr.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Sunday, February 16, 2003 from 4 to 6 P.M. and on Monday at Trinity Endeavor United Church of Christ from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.

Robert Eggert

Robert Eggert, age 73 of Oxford, Wisconsin died Saturday, February 8, 2003 at the Tomah Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Tomah, Wisconsin following a lengthy illness.

Memorial funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford with Reverend Benjamin Thompson officiating. According to his wishes Robert was cremated.

Robert was born March 16, 1929 in Cudahy, Wisconsin the son of Herman and Lucille (Nagel) Eggert. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1948 and attained the rank of Tech Sergeant. In 1958 he married Erika Muller in Germany . He was honorably discharged in 1970. Following his military career he was employed by the Department of Natural Resources and stationed out of Friendship, Wisconsin .

Robert is survived by his wife, Erika; a son, Thomas (Wendy) Eggert of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a daughter, Marlene Eggert of Oxford ; a sister, Marcella (Gordon) Behrendt of Cudahy, Wisconsin and a grandson, Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.

Dorothy Gaither

Dorothy Gaither, age 82 of Montello, Wisconsin died Thursday, February 6, 2003 at her residence.

Memorial funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford, Wisconsin with Reverend Donald Wedel officiating. Dorothy was cremated according to her wishes.

Dorothy was born October 1, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Henry and Mary (Burke) Marshall. She is survived by a son, Patrick (Rhonda Johnson) Gaither and a granddaughter, Mercedes Sigele Gaither. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held at Oxford Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 to 7 P.M.

Sharon Jandik

Sharon Jandik, age 65 of Oxford, Wisconsin died Monday, December 30, 2002 while driving at the intersection of Highways 13 & 82 in Adams County, although not from injuries from the accident.

Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sowers of the Word Church located east of Oxford on Highway 82. Sharon was cremated according to her wishes.

Sharon was born June 2, 1937 in Hastings, Nebraska the daughter of Marmion and Genevieve (Berry) Lippincott. She was married to James Jandik.

Sharon is survived by her husband James; a daughter, Judith (Harold) Oakes of Necedah, Wisconsin; brothers, Gail (Sandra) Lippincott of Las Vegas, Nevada and Marmion Lippincott of Nebraska; grandchildren, Larry Parce, Jr. of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Tonya (Leslie) Kerfien of Italy; 2 great grandchildren and dear friends, Charles and Karen Blair of Mauston. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dale Vanderbilt

Dale Vanderbilt, age 70 of Oxford, Wisconsin died Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 21, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford with Reverend Donald Wedel officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove cemetery in Portage.

Dale was born August 14, 1932 in Jackson Township, Wisconsin the son of Floyd and Dora (Hageman) Vanderbilt. In August of 1956 he married Mary Leege. For many years Dale was a truck driver and he hauled milk, livestock and grain for local farmers.

Dale is survived by his wife, Mary; brothers, Duane (Persis) Vanderbilt of Oxford and Eugene Vanderbilt of Davis Junction, Illinois; a sister, Doris Naber of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; mother in law, Thelma Graham of Montello, Wisconsin; brothers in law, Oliver (Kathy) Leege of Wisconsin Dells and Orin (Donna) Leege of Endeavor, Wisconsin; a sister in law, Marleen (Charles) Dehmlow of Portage and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Friday, December 20, 2002 from 4 to 7 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 10:30 A.M.

Margaret Jean Hart

Margaret Jean Hart, age 82 of Portage, Wisconsin died Monday, December 9, 2002 at Divine Savior Nursing Home in Portage.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2002 at 1:30 P.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford, Wisconsin with Chaplain Linda Riggs officiating. Burial will be at Hill Crest cemetery in Endeavor, Wisconsin.

Jean was born November 6, 1920 in Endeavor, Wisconsin the daughter of John and Mary (Smith) Rodger. In 1944 she married Oscar Hart in Portage and he preceded her in death in 1974.

Jean is survived by sons, Marvin (Judith) Hart of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Bryan Hart of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother, David Rodger of Titusville, Florida; sisters, Agnes Bakken of Rockford, Illinois and Elizabeth Wainwright of Henderson, Nevada; 1 grandchild and 3 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Jack and Willard.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at 1:30 P.M.

Gary Raasch

Gary Raasch, age 55 of Oxford, Wisconsin formerly of Verona, Wisconsin died Monday, January 26, 2004 at his residence with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford with Reverend Donald Wedel celebrating. Following the traditional funeral service Gary will be cremated. Military rites will be held by the Neenah Valley Memorial Post 6003 of Oxford, Wisconsin.

Gary was born May 4, 19 48 in Madison, Wisconsin the son of Elmer and Dolores (Malm) Raasch and he grew up in Stoughton, Wisconsin . He was inducted into the U.S. Marines in September of 1965 and his tour of duty took him to Vietnam . He was honorably discharged in September of 1968. In September of 1981 he married Janice Ayers. For 18 years they owned and operated G and J Automotive Services in Verona. In 1992 they moved to Oxford . Gary was also a life member of the Neenah Valley Memorial Post 6003 of Oxford, Wisconsin .

Gary is survived by his wife, Janice; a daughter, Carrie Raasch of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; brothers, Elmer of Madison, Wisconsin and Robert of Stoughton; sisters, Lorna Bannigan of Merrill, Wisconsin, Kathy (William) Smith of Hudson, Wisconsin and Lisa Hanson of Stoughton; mother in law, Hazel Schroeder of Rochester, Minnesota; step daughter, Jackie Pelowski of St. Charles, Minnesota and a sister in law, Sharon (Al Schultz) Ayers of Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Harrington and his former wife, Patricia.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.

Arthur "Perk" Wohlfert

Arthur “Perk” Wohlfert, age 74 of Oxford, Wisconsin formerly of Beloit, Wisconsin died Friday, January 23, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Oxford Funeral Home in Oxford with Reverend Donald Wedel celebrating. Burial will follow at the Oxford Village cemetery .

Perk was born June 30, 19 29 in Oxford, Wisconsin the son of Frank and LaVerne (Nielson) Wohlfert. He grew up in Oxford and attended public schools there. In February of 1951 he married Carol Stalker. Perk worked for 30 years at General Motors in Janesville, Wisconsin and retired at age 57. He moved back to Oxford and was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and especially fishing. He did his best to pass on his knowledge and wisdom of hunting and fishing to his children and many others.

Perk is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Daniel (Melody) and Randy both of Beloit; daughters, Debbie Oldfield of Beloit and Monica (Sas) Locke of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin; a sister, Clara Lee (Robert) Hamilton of Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and a very special friend, Karel Kurth of Westfield, Wisconsin . He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at the Oxford Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.
