Armilla Helen Bangert
Armilla Helen "Bumpy" (nee Ouradnik) Bangert, 91, a Green Bay resident, died Thursday, April 3, 2003, at an area hospital. Armilla was born August 26, 1911, in the St. Mary's Parish area of Luxemburg. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and spent her working career at Kraft Cheese and then at Pauly Cheese.

Survivors include three children, Joseph J. Bangert and Barbara Ann Foster, both of Green Bay, and Donald L. Bangert, Appleton; six grandchildren, Jeffery and Kristine Pezon, Debbie Lea (nee Foster) Miller, David E. Foster, Donald L. and Wendy L. Sahr; five great-grandchildren, Kassi and Jake Pezon, Scott Anderson, Alicia Simmons and Hart Miller.

Armilla was preceded in death by her husband, LeaGerald Thomas Bangert, who died in a car accident in 1942. Her parents, Frank and Margaretha (Joerger) Ouradnik, were killed along with two of her sisters, Adeline and Ermina, in 1922 in a car-train crash. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Hildegarde (Arnold) DeBaker, Dyckesville, in 1996; her older brother, Elmer Ouradnik, Sheboygan, in 1997; and one grandchild, Carrie Jo Bangert.

Memorial services will be Sunday, April 13, 2003 at Joe's residence, 2466 Sun Valley Court, for close friends and family. There will be no viewing.

Entombment in Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Bay Settlement.

Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of expressions of sympathy, the family has requested that donations be made to your own charity or in a mass card in her name at your church.

Barbara (Mrs. Mike) Cizman
Barbara (Mrs. Mike) Cizman, 53, Pulaski. Visitation 3-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at Ss. Edward & Isidore Church, Flintville, until funeral at 11 a.m. Survivors include her husband, Mike; three daughters, Amy (Duke) Peters, Jill (Gary) Kozlowski and Patti (Darren) Laskowski, Pulaski; two sons, Steve Cizman and Andy Cizman, Pulaski; six grandchildren; her parents, Bernie and Regina Nowak, Pulaski; three brothers, Bob (Carol) Nowak, Green Bay, Jack (Jane) Nowak, Pulaski, and Jim (Liz) Nowak, West Bend; and one sister, Jan (Rob) Deau, Pulaski. Marnocha Funeral Home, Pulaski, is assisting the family.

Robert Demeny
Robert Demeny, 73, Bay Settlement. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Monday and prior to the funeral Tuesday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. Mass of Christian Burial tentatively scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Bay Settlement. Survivors include his daughter, Judy (Alvaro) Demeny Aviles, Green Bay; four sons, Larry (Paula) Demeny, Luxemburg, Rick (Sue) Demeny, Algoma, Tom (Theresa) Demeny, Luxemburg and Dan (Tracy) Demeny, New Franken; his mother, Rose Demeny, Abrams; two brothers, James Demeny and Eugene (Mary) Demeny; and 11 grandchildren.

Myrtle A. De Pas
Myrtle A. De Pas, 94, Luxemburg. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday at McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, and after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Prayer service 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church, Casco. Complete obituary will be in Monday's paper.

Katherine Faltynski
Katherine Faltynski, 75, Green Bay. Funeral held Saturday at Malcore Funeral Home.

Helen (Mrs. John) FitzGerald
Helen (Mrs. John) FitzGerald, 90, Green Bay. Visitation 9:30-11 a.m. Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Survivors include one son, James (Marjorie) FitzGerald, Green Bay; two daughters, Margaret (John) Guzek, Green Bay, Patricia FitzGerald, Mount Horeb; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., is assisting the family.

James M. "Jim" Rose, 59, Green Bay. Funeral held Saturday at West Mason Malcore Funeral Home.

Henry G. Schneiderman
Henry G. Schneiderman Jr., 53, Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Green Bay. Visitation after 10 a.m. Monday at the Lobas Room until memorial Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, Fisk and Ninth streets. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda S. Schneiderman; son, Elliot Louis Schneiderman; daughter, Reba Sue Schneiderman, all of Las Vegas; sisters, Susan J. (Florida) Van Dyck, Green Bay and Elizabeth (Gary) Hill, Oneida; and a brother, Michael B. (Patty) Gage, De Pere.

Mary Tassoul
Mary Tassoul, 92, Green Bay. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today and prior to the funeral Monday at Malcore Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday at Ss. Peter & Paul Church. Survivors include her husband, Joseph; a son, Giles (Barbara) Tassoul, Green Bay; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Linda K. (Olson) Thomson
Linda K. (Olson) Thomson (Mrs. Jerome "Jerry"), 53, Green Bay. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., and 9-10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 1405 Monroe Ave. Prayer Service 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; one son, John, Green Bay; one daughter, Amy, Suamico; four grandchildren; mother, Mary Olson, Cecil; two brothers, Dave (Linda) Olson, De Pere, Don Olson, Cecil; one sister, Joan (Rick) Gruel, Cecil.

Louis J. Vandervest
Louis J. Vandervest, 91, of Green Bay, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at a local nursing home. He was born December 6, 1911, in Red River, Kewaunee County, to Joseph and Josephine (Bader) Vandervest. Louie attended the University of Wisconsin Agriculture Short Course, Class of 1929.. On November 19, 1936, he married Marie Naze. He was employed at Northwest Engineering for 35 years, retiring in 1976. Mr. Vandervest had been active in Boy Scouts and has also been a very active charter member of St. Agnes Parish. He had worked at the Farm Progress Association and was a volunteer driver for Brown County Social Services. Louis was a very avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed traveling. He was also a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 5382. He was an avid gardener and an excellent wine maker.

Louie will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie; five children and their spouses, Janice (Bernie) Ducat, Green Bay, Paul (Rose) Vandervest, Green Bay, Mary J. Vandervest, Largo, Florida, Roger (Betty) Vandervest, Oak Park, Ill.; Jeff (Mary) Vandervest, Green Bay; his grandchildren and their spouses, Sharon Ducat, Julie (John) Luebke, Mike (Patty) Ducat, Odin (Evie) Anderson, Amy (Steve) Fairbairn, Nicole (Jeff) Moore, Denise (Joe) Scardina, Neil (Robin) Vandervest, Jason Vandervest (his fiance Beth Southard), Alex and Emma Vandervest, Jennifer, Christopher and Daniel Vandervest. He is further survived by his great grandchildren, Melissa (Dylan) Vincent-Bennett, Nicholas (special friend Lori) Ducat, Amanda Ducat, Luke and Jacob Luebke, McKenna and Brennan Fairbairn, Hanna and William Moore and Avree Vandervest. Further surviving are three sisters, Sister Martin Vandervest, Mabel Dellis and Ceil Ruebens; and a brother, Joseph Vandervest. Mr. Vandervest was preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Borlee, Anna LaCroix, Esther LeGrave, Millie Nellis and Rose Metzler; and two brothers, Mike and Martin Vandervest.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4-8 p.m. today. There will be a Knights of Columbus service at 6:30 p.m. and a Parish Wake Service at 7 p.m. today. Visitation will continue from 1:30-3 p.m. Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

The Vandervest family wishes to express its gratitude to the staff of Grancare Nursing Home, especially Mary DeWinter, for its loving care of Louis during his stay there.

Louie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Leonard O. Zuleger
Leonard O. Zuleger, 71, Seymour. Visitation after 9:30 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, until funeral at 11 a.m. Survivors include his wife, Irene; children Steven (Cindy) Moesch, Bonduel, Scott Moesch, Neenah, Ronald (Diane) Moesch, Little Chute and Jeff (Donna) Zuleger, Rosholt; three brothers, Earl (Marian) Zuleger, Black Creek, Lawrence (Regina) Zuleger, Briarton, and Gordon (Grace) Zuleger, Little Chute. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family.

Genevieve Clusman-Neumann
Genevieve "Gen" Clusman-Neumann, 97, of De Pere, died Wednesday April 2, 2003, at an area nursing home. Gen was born October 23, 1905, the daughter of Martin and Elizabeth (Nooyen) Van Veghel. She married Norman Clusman on September 25, 1929. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1974. Gen later married Winfred Neumann. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1978. She was a member of the De Pere Women's Club for 15 years and also a longtime parishoner of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in De Pere.

Gen is survived by her son, Robert (Connie) Clusman of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Patrick (Kathy) Clusman, Kevin (Karen) Clusman, Ken (Peggy) Clusman, Karla (Kevin) Kujava, Karen (Dan) O'Neil and Tim (Jessica) Clusman; nine great-grandchildren, Jason, Kari, Shea, Bree, Mitchell, Steve and Emma Clusman, and Katie and Kayla Kujava; also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Norman Clusman and Winfred Neumann; six sisters, Mabel Reimer, Florence Smits, Marie Christensen, and Martha and Lucille Van Veghel.

Friends may call at Old St. Joseph's Catholic Church at St. Norbert College on Saturday April 5, 2003, from 9 a.m. until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church with Father Brian Prunty, O. Praem, officiating. Burial will be in the Allouez Cemetery. RYAN FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family with arrangements.
