Post, Carol J.

Madison / Dodgeville - Carol Jean Post's gallant effort against her colon cancer ended on Thursday, September 6th. She was taken from us way too early at the age of 45. Her infectious smile and creative wit will be missed. She had a special way to make you laugh regardless of the situation. She was extremely organized and efficiently ran a household or a business. She was born in Stevens Point on November 26, 1961, where she stayed for a couple years after graduating from high school and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona. She spent many years there with her parents and two of her sisters. Carol eventually married after which her wonderful daughter, Kacey Jean Montgomery, was born. Shortly after Kacey's birth, she moved back to Wisconsin and worked as a credit manager. First she moved back to Stevens Point and then moved to Madison when a better job contacted her. During his time, with help of Match.com, she met her current husband, Rick Post. They were married on October 23rd, 2004 and spent their honeymoon enjoying Jamaica. Rick's love for Carol and Kacey was evident from the beginning. His personality, love for life and dedication to them is remarkable! He has made and left a profound impact on this family. The family lived in Dodgeville until the recent move to Madison this past July.

Carol tremendously enjoyed being a mom to Kacey. She also liked to go to casinos, sit in the sun, watch scary movies and travel. One of her specialties was playing poker and coming home with everyone's money. She was a very kind, generous, strong willed and loving person. She cared deeply for her family and many times put their interests before her own.

Preceding her in death is her father, George Kuplic. Carol is survived by her one love in her life, daughter Kacey, and the other love in her life, husband Rick. Also her mother Isabelle Kuplic, Fountain Hills, AZ; sisters and brothers; Judy Kuplic, Scottsdale, AZ, Ken (Kathy) Kuplic, Weston, WI, Gary (Mary) Kuplic, Plover, WI, Jan(Wayne) Orlowski, Stevens Point, WI, Joyce (Mickey) Sopa, Amherst, WI, Neil (Michelle) Kuplic, Chapel Hill, NC, Jackie Brown, Stevens Point, WI, Jeff Kuplic, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Camille Kuplic, Fountain Hills, AZ.

We want to thank the nurses, doctors and staff from Upland Hills in Dodgeville and both UW and Meriter Clinics for their excellent care. We also wish to thank Hospice Care for their tremendous help during this difficult time.

There will be a memorial service held at our home at 4012 Dolphin Drive in Madison on Saturday, September 15th from noon until 6 pm.

We want to celebrate her life and remember the good times.
