Whose love can equal the love of a mother,
Whose the devotion so loyal and true!
Who suffers so much with joy for another,
Who works with such pleasure, As mother for you!
You hail with delight the friendship of others,
You revel in love of the sweetheart, you’ve won;
Yet where do you find a friendship like mother’s,
Unbroken til death calls and life’s work is done.

He was an upbeat individual and had one of the best attitudes throughout his life and throughout his illness. You could never have a conversation with Dick without being enlightened by his sense of humor. His imitation of Donald Duck was a favorite by all youngsters. Some of the best conversations between Peg and Dick were across their ironing boards. He loved to cook and entertain. Dick is survived by his wife, Peg; daughter, Heidi Charles-Kleven; two grandchildren, Chandler Kleven and Garrett (Kate) Kleven; and three great-grandchildren, Nadia Reeves, Mariah and Oksana Kleven. Another special thank you to the many friends and family for the visits, cards, telephone calls and many words of support. To honor Dick's wishes, there will be no memorial service.
