Survivors include one daughter, Lois (Bill) Johnston, Suamico; two sons, Leon (Gladys) Calewarts, Wayne "Jack" (Nora) Calewarts, all of Suamico; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret (Marge) Ludke. Margaret C. "Sue" Haslam
Margaret C. "Sue" Haslam, 96, Green Bay. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Survivors include one son, David (Joan) Condon, Woodruff; two daughters, Gloria (Bob) Bale, Palm Beach, Fla., Joan Jeffrey, San Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 340 S. Monroe Ave., is assisting the family.

Leonard Louie Schlitz
Leonard Louie Schlitz, Capt. USMC Ret., 66, Waterford, formerly of Waukesha. Services were held on February 23, 2004, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, Calif. Survivors include two sons, Louis Schiltz of Turlock, Calif., and Kevin Schlitz of Denair; Calif.; one daughter, Coleen Ward of Turlock; two sisters, Dorothy Webb of Cudahy and Karen Peterson of Green Bay; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild.

Jerry 'Michael' Swanson
Jerry "Michael" Swanson, 37, Howard, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2004, after a short illness with cancer.

Michael was born in Fort Hood, Texas on September 30, 1966, to Jerome Swanson and the late Irma (Pampl) Swanson. He married Barbara Brennan on September 22, 2001 in Green Bay and has lived in the area since 2000. Prior to moving to Green Bay, he lived in Crivitz, Wis. Michael worked for Car Quest as an auto parts specialist. He was a Packer and NASCAR fan and also enjoyed golfing.

Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Brandon and Emma Swanson; Noah Brennan; his father and step-mother, Jerome (Nora) Swanson, Crivitz; father-in-law and mother in- law, John Brennan and Carol Brennan, both of De Pere; Grandmother, Freida Swanson, Crivitz; two sisters, Harriet (Arnie) Aubry, Green Bay; Sharon Swanson, Crivitz. Further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, step-brothers, step-sisters and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Irma; and grandfather, Harry T. Swanson.

The family will receive friends at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Howard-Suamico Location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Friday, March 19, from 3 until 8 p.m. and after 9 am Saturday until the cortege leaves for church. Funeral service 11 am Saturday at Christ the King Lutheran Church with Pastor Leonard Buelow officiating. Burial in St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery. Harold J. Pfotenhauer, Funeral Director.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Mike's name at the funeral home. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to doctors and nurses on the 2nd floor at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay Oncology and Unity Hospice for their care and concern during this unexpected time.
