Mason St., and after 9 a.m. Monday at St. Bernard Church until funeral at 10:30 a.m. Survivors include his wife, Rose; three daughters, Lynn (Garry) Tamm, Brillion, Christine "Tina" (Jerry) Drewiske, De Pere and Holly (Dan) Kaster, De Pere; two sons, Mike (Joyce) Collins, Midland, Texas and Jim (Jean) Collins, Green Bay; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Collins, St. Louis, Mo.; four sisters, Alice Carpenter, Redding, Calif., LaVerne Birkholz, Appleton, Lois (Lyle) Sonnenberg, Ripon and Verna Thiel, Ripon.
Matthew Johnson
Matthew Johnson, 18, Wrigthtstown. Funeral held Saturday. Survivors include his parents, Peter and Christine (Frederickson) Johnson; brothers and sisters Luke, Cindy, Andy, Kate, Ben and Bobbi-Jo Johnson, grandparents Rosie Johnson, Kimberly and Don and Carol Frederickson, Hollandtown. DeWane-Cotter Funeral Home, Wrightstown, assisted the family.
Mrs. Clarence (Luella S.) Mommaerts
Mrs. Clarence (Luella S.) Mommaerts, 95, longtime west side Green Bay resident, died Thursday, March 4, 2004 at a local nursing home. She was born July 25, 1908, in Navarino to the late William and Saraphine (Kimps) Aebischer. On January 17, 1928. she married Clarence Mommaerts in Waukegan, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1974.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Ron and Grace Mommaerts, Tyler, Texas; Larry and Jeanette Mommaerts, Green Bay; Gloria Rowell and her special friend, Ed Tuschel, Milwaukee; Susan and Dan Le Mieux, Green Bay; a daughter-in-law, June Mommaerts; a son-in-law, Bob Proechel; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her children, Lee Proechel, James, Val, Glenn and Judy Mommaerts; three brothers and three sisters, Sam, Roy, and Elmer Aebischer, Laura Knutson, Ethel Bower and Ione Basteyns.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Friends may also call at St. Jude Catholic Church from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Reverend Robert Rhyner officiating. Burial will be Fort Howard Memorial Park.

Mary Monica Norton
Mary Monica Norton went to meet the Lord on Friday, March 5, 2004. She was born May 5, 1908, to Timothy and Alice (Kane) Norton in the town of Rockland. She attended Pershing School in the town of Rockland, and St. Joseph's Academy. She graduated from East De Pere High School, class of 19266. She attended St. Mary's School of Nursing, Green Bay, graduating in 1929.
She attended nursing practicum at City Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. She returned to Green Bay to hold the position as head nurse at St. Mary's Hospital. She continued her education at Michigan State University, Ann Arbor, graduating in 1938 with a degree in public health. Mary held the position of registered nurse serving Oconto County as public health nurse from 19938-1942 and as Brown County health nurse from 1942 until her retirement in 1973.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Nurse's Alumni Association and actively served the Green Bay Altrusa Club. Mary was an active volunteer at area health clinics, tirelessly volunteering her services. She also volunteered her time as a health nurse at area children's camps.
Mary was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in De Pere, serving as a communion distributor and active member of the liturgy. She spent many enjoyable hours serving the Lord and providing her services to the church.
Mary is survived by one sister, Agatha A. Norton, and one brother and sister-in-law, Donald J. and Norma Norton, both of De Pere, and their children, Anne (Donald Jr.) Kamps and their children Paul and Olivia, Kevin Norton, Colleen (Jeff) Loppnow and their daughter Makayla, Sean Norton, Michael Norton, Michelle (David) Anderson, Noreen (Jeff Borchardt), Timothy Norton and Monica Norton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Timothy and Alice Norton; sisters Florence Norton and Catherine Norton (Edward) Driscoll, and three infant brothers, Edwards, Edwin and Joseph Norton.
Visitation will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan St., De Pere, on Monday, March 8, 2004, at 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Rev. V. Anthony Dolski officiating.
The family would like to extend its appreciation to the loving care provided by the staffs at both the McCormick Home and the Odd Fellows Home as well as St. Vincent Hospital.
Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
