Survivors include his wife, Lisa; one daughter, Melissa; his mother, Fernande; two brothers, Gene and Dick; two sisters, Judy Haevers and Patty Albers. Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., is assisting the family.

Francis M. 'Mike' Petesch
Francis M. "Mike" Petesch, 67, Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2004, at the Odd Fellows Nursing Home. Mike will be remembered for his love of fishing and his warm personality.

Survivors include his four sisters, nieces, nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. A private family service was held today at the funeral home with Rev. David Pleier officiating.

Richard C. Ruby
Richard C. Ruby, 66, Allouez. Visitation 4-7-p.m. Sunday at Resurrection Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Survivors include his wife, Shirley; four sons, Rev. David Ruby, Bryan Ruby, Michael Ruby, Paul Ruby; five grandchildren; one brother, John Ruby; two sisters, Patricia Morse, Harriet Pitlick. Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 is assisting the family.

Lori (Loreta) Seidl
Lori (Loreta) Seidl. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at McMahon Funeral Home, 530 Main St., Luxemburg, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1412 Main St., Luxemburg. Prayer service 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Survivors include her husband, Glen, Luxemburg; her mother, Frediswenda, and sister, Jaunita, both of the Philippines.

Thomas J. Bettis
Thomas J. Bettis, 49, Maribel. Visitation 4-9 p.m. Friday at Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St. Memorial service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Jan; his son, Jacob Bettis, both of Maribel; three brothers, David (Betty) Bettis, Sobieski, Patrick Bettis and Ken Bettis, both of Green Bay; and three sisters, Barbara (Gary) Louis, De Pere, Mary (Charlie) Habeck, Woodruff and Sue Stewart, Green Bay.

William C. (Bill) 'Maynard Krebs' Fleck
Bill Fleck, 57, passed away peacefully after a short bout with cancer at the Bay Pines VA Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. Bill was born on August 20, 1946, to Howard and Christine (Lary) Fleck in De Pere. Bill attended De Pere High School graduating in 1964. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Army 3rd Armored Div, and for the last year he was the driver for Gen. William Westmoreland. After service he drove truck for the Selmer Co, operated The Irish Pub in West De Pere and sold real estate for Hilgenberg Realty. He moved to Clearwater Beach, Fla., in the early 1980's and worked for the Clearwater Beach Yacht Club for the past 15 years. He loved the beach!

Bill is survived by two brothers, Mike (Ginny) and Peter (Mary) Fleck, both of De Pere. Also survived by a step-brother, Jerome (Kay) Daanen of De Pere and a step-sister, Dorothy Ann (Tom) Schwanz of Iron River, Mich. Bill also has three nieces: Heather Fleck of De Pere, Shannon (Fleck) Zur of Waukesha and Courtney Fleck of Madison; and one grand-nephew, Colby Zur of Waukesha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Christine, one brother, Kenny, a step-mother, Kay, and a step-brother, Mike Daanen.

There will be a memorial showing at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Saturday, May 15, 2004 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. A wake reception will follow at a place to be announced at the service for family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the CCU and Hospice at Bay Pines VA Hospital. In lieu of flowers a Memorial fund will be established.

Jule R. 'Butch' Mellen
Jule R. "Butch" Mellen, 63, town of Scott, passed away due to complications from surgery at a Rochester, Minn., hospital on Sunday, May 9, 2004.

Jule was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Green Bay to the late Jule and Margaret (Kreuser) Mellen. On May 11, 1998, he married Mary Jo Rayome. He was a beloved father, husband and friend. A patient, generous teacher who shared selflessly his time, friendship and positive spirit. A man of unwavering strength and courage through his faith in the face of struggle. A true hero with a song in his heart.

Jule will be sadly missed by his spouse, Mary Jo Mellen, town of Scott; one son, Mitchell (Delia) Mellen, Denver, Colo., and their children: Jordan, Haley, Madison and Mitchell; one daughter, Tanya Mellen (Peter Woollen), Minneapolis, Minn., and their son, Beck; sisters, Marilyn Johnson; Joan (Jack) Gillis, all of Green Bay; Patty (Jerry) Roek, Stockton, Calif.; lifelong friend, Carolyn Mellen and special friend, Eric Retel; Mary Jo's children: Terry (Jim) Chambers; Andy (Debbie) LaCombe; Peggy LaCombe; Tom LaCombe; Mary Jo's grandchildren: Keith Frelich, David Frelich, Jessica Lueck, Justin Haines, Eric Chambers, Shana LaCombe, Kiana LaCombe and Suzy Owen-LaCombe; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Ardice (Roger) Schmitz; Joseph (Maureen) Rayome.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Alyce Guzman and Sandra Mellen; one brother, Dick Mellen. The family will receive friends at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, East Town Location, 2379 E. Mason St., on Friday May 14, from 4 until 8 p.m. Parish prayer service 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home lead by Sister Marlene Dimmerling. (No visitation Saturday morning prior to the funeral). Mass of Christian Burial 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Catholic Church, N8726 County Line Road, Dyckesville, with the Rev. Joseph Bestler officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Andrew J. Rosemary A. (Matzke) Schultz, Green Bay. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Pius Catholic Church, 1211 County Rd. J, Little Suamico. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Survivors include three sons, Ted (Paula) Schultz, Steve Schultz, David Schultz; two daughters, Tina (Franklin) Hoffmann, Theresa (Dan) Cole; 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jo Ann (Charles) Witham, Helen (Milton) De Villers, Margie (Tom) Wolf. Fern R. Doherty
Fern R. Doherty, 82, passed away peacefully Monday morning, May 10, 2004, at a local hospital. Fern was born March 22, 1922, to the late Robert T. and Lillian (Hendricks) Bennie. She married Donald Doherty in September, 1942, in New York. Fern was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to play bridge, and everybody looked forward to her Christmas rum cake. Her family was very important to her, and she was proud of them.

Fern is survived by her devoted husband, Don; her children, Pete (Sharon) Doherty (Green Bay), and Barb Doherty (Green Bay); grandchildren, Pete Doherty (Green Bay), and Trish Doherty (Milwaukee, Wis.); one sister, Jean Parker (Orlando, Fla.); one brother, Bob Bennie (Tempe, Ariz.); sisters and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Doris Kirby; and in-laws, Lillian and Philip Doherty.

A private memorial service will be held. Fern's family will greet friends Friday, May 14 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Ave. Proko-Wall Funeral Home & Crematory (468-4111) is assisting the family.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers at St. Mary's Hospital and Grancare Nursing Home for their support and compassion.

Baird St. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca and Sarah; three sons, Dereck, Willie and Eric; his father, John (Julie) Pasterski, Green Bay; his mother, Polly (Ron) Keyser, Bellevue; two sisters, Lori (J.R.)
