Bernard "Ben" Lindsley, 73, Green Bay. Visitation after 9 a.m. Monday at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, 312 Victoria St. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. at the church. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; three daughters, Sharon Lindsley, Green Bay, Julie (Donald) Blohowiak, Green Bay, and Kathy (Robert) Zahn, Gillett; one son, James (Kim) Lindsley, Green Bay; six grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Lindsley, Green Bay. Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., is assisting the family.

Regina Emma (nee Mohr) Munson
Regina Emma (nee Mohr) Munson, 84, former Green Bay resident. Services are private. Survivors include three grandchildren, Brett Robert Munson, Christine Regina Munson and Kenneth Edmund Munson; one brother, Raymond Mohr.

Wilfred "Will" T. Callahan
Wilfred "Will" T. Callahan, Jr., 78, former Green Bay resident. Visitation 1-3 p.m. today at Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, 2379 E. Mason St. Memorial service 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. Military Honors following. Survivors include his children Wilfred Thomas (Patricia) Callahan III, Rickie Allen Callahan, Michele (Ralph) Hewitt; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike Callahan, Concord, Calif.

Harold F. "Carp" Carpenter
Harold F. "Carp" Carpenter, 88, a lifelong Green Bay resident, died Friday, July 16, 2004. He was born Sept. 18, 1915 to Russell and Cora (Wendricks) Carpenter. Harold attended St. Patrick Grade School and Green Bay West High School. On Aug. 7, 1937 Harold married Margaret Petri. For many years he had been employed as a butcher for Armour, Liebman and Packerland Packing Companies. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5382 and was a very active member of St. Agnes Parish. Harold also helped many, many people when and wherever needed. He was proud of keeping his sidewalk and driveway snow and ice free often using his ice chopper and shovel. He loved bowling, was an accomplished gardener, and enjoyed going up north to his cottage in Crivitz. Harold was a wonderful neighbor and was an avid sports fan.

Survivors include a son, John Carpenter, Oconto; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Tom Kozina, Green Bay; six grandchildren, Kurt and Meryl Kozina, Ann Kozina and her friend Kevin McCarthy, Kim Carpenter and her friend Todd, Tina Wittkopf, Annette Kaminski and her friend, Buck and Carla La Count; six great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Race, Travis, Kayla, Robert & Mary: his sisters, brothers, and their spouses, Dora Fonder, Green Bay; Theresa and Bill Piton, Spokane, Wash.; Bernice and Merle Klarner, Green Bay; Marion and LaVerne Schmidt, Seymour; Ralph and Betty Carpenter, Green Bay; Gilbert Carpenter, Green Bay; two sisters-in-law, Frances Petri and Mrs. Gordon (Dot) Carpenter; nieces, nephews and his best friend, Buzz the cat.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; his parents; four brothers, Gordon, Floyd, Norman and Raymond Carpenter.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4-8:00 p.m. Monday. A Knights of Columbus Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday and a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 10-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.

The Carpenter family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Unity Hospice for their care of Harold during his illness.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Survivors include four children, Dolores (Daniel) Chervenka, Bellevue, Allen (Jane) Kadletz, Pilsen, Germaine (Luke) Linzmeier, Denmark, Joyce Beaudoin, Bellevue, 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.

Survivors include three daughters, Jamie DeNamur, Janine "Jan" DeNamur (Jack) Carroll, Debi DeNamur (Tim) Johnson; four grandchildren; one sister, Roe (Bob) Black. Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., assisted the family.

Abner H. Sapiro
Abner H. Sapiro, Green Bay. Funeral service 1 p.m. today at Schauer & Schumacher Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave. Survivors include his wife, Jane Sapiro; two sons, Cliff (Shirley) Christl, De Pere, Jeff Sapiro, Portland, Ore.; one daughter, Nancy Sapiro (Lincoln Miller), Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren; one sister, Sue (Bert) Katz, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Irene D. Strenn
Irene D. Strenn, De Pere, age 88, passed away Wednesday evening, July 13, 2004. She was born Dec. 25, 1915, in Green Bay to the late Carl and Ruth (Dionne) Siepert. On June 8, 1940, she was united in marriage to Clarence Strenn at Old St. Joseph Catholic Church, De Pere. Clarence preceded her in death on August 28, 1985. Irene had attended Outagamie Rural Normal School, St. Norbert College, and UWGB. She was a school teacher in Brown County for 43 years. She was a member of the Brown County Homemakers, School board member of Beauty Grove School District, as well as West De Pere School District, where she also served as Board Clerk. Irene was a member and treasurer of CESA 9 for six years, as well as, a volunteer for 4-H for many years. After her retirement Irene was a member of the Wisconsin Retired Educators' Association. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish, where Irene was a member of the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her children; Jane Strenn Rasmussen of Green Bay, and Geradette (Steve) Lewins of De Pere. Further survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Michael (Denise) Strenn of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and their children Noah, Ella, and Luke, Stephen (Roya) Strenn of Santa Barbara, Calif. Jennifer (Marty) Howell of Greeley, Colo., and their children Sarah, and Mary.

Two sisters, Fern Van Lanen of Green Bay, and Lois Jones of Green Bay further survive Irene. Three sisters in-law, Eleanor Hendricks, Arleen Schneider, and Joan Strenn also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her daughter Mary Margaret, her son Carl, her son in- law James Rasmussen, and brother Gustave Siepert.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday July 16, 2004, at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME De Pere with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. led by Fr. Gilbert Jacobs O.Praem. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Fr. Bill Ribbens O.Praem as the celebrant and Fr. Pete Renard O.Praem as concelebrant. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the Strenn family at www.ryanfh.com . A memorial fund will be established in Irene's name.
