Gerold 'Jer' Kolanchick
Gerold "Jer" Kolanchick, 48, of Glenmore, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, July 14, 2004. The son of Franklin and Rose (Rozmarnowski) Kolanchick was born July 8, 1956 in Green Bay. Jer was a graduate of Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. On October 21, 1977, he married Kathy La Fave and they were married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Glenmore. Mr. Kolanchik had been associated with several businesses in Green Bay and the Valley. He was most recently in partnership with his wife, Kathy, in the family business, Moo Solutions in De Pere. The couple enjoyed their cabin Up North.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy; one brother, Angelus "Anj" Kolanchick; one sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and James Leanna; two nieces; and his dog, Harley. Jer is further survived by Kathy's family, her father, Clarence "Brooch" La Fave; her three sisters and brothers- in- law, Wendy La Fave and Dave, Michelle "Mitch" and John Enyart, and Heidi and Dave Parrott; one brother and sister-in-law, Mike La Fave and Jodi; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Dorothy "Chicky" La Fave.

Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2004. Visitation will continue at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Irene D. Strenn
Irene D. Strenn, De Pere, age 88, passed away Wednesday evening, July 13, 2004. She was born Dec. 25, 1915, in Green Bay to the late Carl and Ruth (Dionne) Siepert. On June 8, 1940, she was united in marriage to Clarence Strenn at Old St. Joseph Catholic Church, De Pere. Clarence preceded her in death on August 28, 1985. Irene had attended Outagamie Rural Normal School, St. Norbert College, and UWGB. She was a school teacher in Brown County for 43 years. She was a member of the Brown County Homemakers, School board member of Beauty Grove School District, as well as West De Pere School District, where she also served as Board Clerk. Irene was a member and treasurer of CESA 9 for six years, as well as, a volunteer for 4-H for many years. After her retirement Irene was a member of the Wisconsin Retired Educators' Association. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish, where Irene was a member of the Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her children; Jane Strenn Rasmussen of Green Bay, and Geradette (Steve) Lewins of De Pere. Further survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren; Michael (Denise) Strenn of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and their children Noah, Ella, and Luke, Stephen (Roya) Strenn of Santa Barbara, Calif. Jennifer (Marty) Howell of Greeley, Colo., and their children Sarah, and Mary.

Two sisters, Fern Van Lanen of Green Bay, and Lois Jones of Green Bay further survive Irene. Three sisters in-law, Eleanor Hendricks, Arleen Schneider, and Joan Strenn also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her daughter Mary Margaret, her son Carl, her son in- law James Rasmussen, and brother Gustave Siepert.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday July 16, 2004, at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME De Pere with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. led by Fr. Gilbert Jacobs O.Praem. Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Fr. Bill Ribbens O.Praem as the celebrant and Fr. Pete Renard O.Praem as concelebrant.. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the Strenn family at www.ryanfh.com. A memorial fund will be established in Irene's name.

Survivors include two sons, Ken (Gwen) Baldwin, Mobile, Ala. and Roger :"Bud" (Geri) Baldwin, Green Bay, 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchilldren.

Lawrence DeMuth
Lawrence DeMuth, 61, Pound. No funeral services will be held at Lawrence's request. Survivors include four daughters, Betty Ann Stueber, Green Bay, Ellen DeMuth, Charlotte DeMuth and Jenny DeMuth, all of Texass; one grandchild; four brothers, Frank De Muth, Norway, Mich., John (Marsha) De Muth, Crivitz, Bob (Donna) De Muth, Pound and Al (Millie) De Muth, Lincoln, Neb.; and three sisters, Edith (Earl) Franklin, Norway, Mich., Helen (Harold) Kaye, Sturtevant and Mary (Wayne) Wilcox, Gillett. Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave, is assisting the family.

Helen Lou Farrell
Helen Lou Farrell, 81, De Pere. Visitation and funeral were held Tuesday in Michigan. Survivors include one sister, Loreen "Lori" (David) Mileski, De Pere. Crawford Funeral Home, Escanaba, Mich., is assisting the family.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Elaine Johnson, Green Bay; four grandchildren, all of Green Bay. Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, is assisting the family.

Raymond C. Jochimsen, 80, Ashwaubenon, formerly Kangaroo Lake. Visitation after 9 a.m. today at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. Furneral service 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Nancy (Terry) McGrew, De Pere, Cheryl (Byron) Kruschke; one granddaughter.

Florence E. Kussow
Florence E. Kussow, De Pere, age 88, passed away Saturday evening, July 10, 2004. She was born June 3, 1916, in Rockford Ill., to the late Frank and Wilhelmina (Wiese) Nelson. On April 16, 1936, she was united in marriage to Arthur A. Kussow at St. John Lutheran Church, Wrightstown. As a child Florence moved to Chicago and spent her younger years there. Some of her fondest memories were of living on a houseboat on the Mississippi River while her grandparents were the caretakers of the historic Villa Louis in Prairie Du Chien Wisconsin. Florence worked along side her husband on their farm in the town of Lawrence, as well as raising her children, and being a second mother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, De Pere.

Florence is survived by her children, Marion Walsh and her special friend Skip Major of Algoma, Carol Campbell of Cedarburg, Betty (Chuck) Balistreri of Helenville, Wis., and Linda Deprey of De Pere. She is further survived by her 11 grandchildren; Jim, Terry, Diana, Tom, Becky, Kelly, Brad, Bob, Casey, Kerry, and Kelsey. Florence's 20 great grandchildren, and sisters in law, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Her husband Arthur in 1986, her son in law Ronnie Campbell, and her sister Marion Nelson preceded her in death. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Church, 1700 Lost Dauphin Road, De Pere, until the time of service at 6 p.m. with Pastor Steve Apfel officiating. Survivors include his wife, Ursula; three sons, Harlan Mertz, Green Bay, Mickey (Kimbra) Mertz, Milwaukee, Jeffrey (Lynda) Mertz, Green Bay; two daughters, Brenda (Randall) Roubal, Green Bay, Sharee (Scott) Krueger, Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Jerome (Darlene) Mertz; four sisters, sandy (Leroy) Basler, Darla (Mike) Wagner, Donna (Dick) School, Diane Mertz.

Ina Claire Miller
Ina Claire Miller, 79, was received into her heavenly home after a long courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born on June 6, 1925 in Chilton, Wis., she was the daughter of Howard and Edna Schucht. Ina Claire was a graduate of Chilton High School, Class of 1943 and following high school, attended St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac, Wis. She graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing in 1946 and was employed as a nurse at St. Agnes Hospital before her marriage to Earl "Mike" Miller on Sept. 11, 1947.

Ina Claire was a very devoted wife to Mike for over 56 years, and was a loving and caring mother to her six children. In her heart, she held a special place for her 17 grandchildren. Ina Claire was a longtime member and volunteer at Annunciation Parish and was involved in many parish activities. She opened her heart and home to her neighbors and friends throughout her lifetime. In addition, she held close cherished memories of her nursing classmates and wonderful bridge club friends.

Ina Claire is survived by her loving husband, Earl "Mike" and their children, Dan (Anne), Mike (Anne), all of Shawano; Chris (Ron) Nelson, Greeley, Colo.; Tom (Mary), Katie (Paul) Ruiz, all of Green Bay; and Susan (Ivo) Montes de Oca, Lawrence, Kan.; She is further survived by 17 grandchildren, Hannah, Rachel and Leah Miller, Kristin and Joe Miller, Mike and Katie Parins, Megan, Ryan and Aaron Miller, Zachary, Mitchell, Sara and Sam Ruiz, Matthew, Jameson and Bryce Montes de Oca. In addition, survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ray Ricker, Chilton; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Marilyn and Bob Nolan, Joan and George Bruckner, all of Chilton; Nancy and Irv Nolan, Albuquerque, N.M.; Gretchen and Jim Bloomer, Chilton.

Ina Claire was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Edna Schucht; and her in-laws, Roland and Elsie Miller. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may also call at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray St., from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Wanda, Gera and Kelly, St. Vincent Home Health Care nurses, the caring staff of St. Vincent Hospital who attended to Ina Claire, her doctors, and the pastoral staff and outreach from Annunciation Parish. Ina Claire's life was enriched by her loyal friends and neighbors who supported her. She will be sadly missed by her husband, family and friends. Mike is thankful to God for each precious year they shared and for their everlasting love for one another.

A memorial fund has been established in her name.

Survivors include one daughter, Geraldine (Dayle) Bellin, Green Bay; two sons, Stanley (Gloria) Petersen, Lake City, Fla., Michael (Lynda) Petersen, Salem; one stepson, James Bruce, Lomita, Calif.; 10 grandchildren.
