Florence Kussow, De Pere, passed away late Saturday evening, July 10, 2004 at a local hospital. Funeral services for Florence will held on Thursday, July 15, at 6 p.m. with visitation after 3 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, De Pere. RYAN FUNERAL HOME, De Pere, is assisting the family.

Helen C. Peterson, 87, De Pere. Memorial Mass to be announced at a later date. Lyndahl Funeral Home is assisting the family. Survivors include her husband, Arthur; two daughters, Carol (Bob) Gafvert, De Pere and Linda (Tom) Laird, Manitowish Waters; grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eleanor Armstrong Burridge
Eleanor Armstrong Burridge, age 95, died on July 2 at home in Green Bay, Wisconsin, after a long illness. Born on September 6, 1908, in Republic, Mich., she was the daughter of Frank and Clara Armstrong. "Spig" Burridge, as she was known, was educated in Vulcan, Mich., and Green Bay, Wis. She attended Lawrence College for two years and completed her college education at the University of Wisconsin, graduating in 1929. She worked as a research librarian for one year at the Commonwealth Edison Company in Chicago, Ill., before marrying George Nau Burridge on her birthday in 1930. After two years in Cambridge, Mass., she and her husband moved back to Green Bay permanently. Mrs. Burridge was active in community affairs, presiding over the primary grade Sunday school for many years at Union Congregational Church, and organizing the Christmas Bazaars there. She was one of the leaders of the local Girl Scout troop based at the church, and served on the Girl Scout Camp Committee. She was a lifelong member of the P.E.O., the Service League and the Oneida Country Club. An avid reader, she reorganized the library at Union Church, and made sure the church's Jubilee House had a bookshelf and reading materials for the families who reside there. An active outdoors woman, she excelled in bird-hunting, skiing, sailing and golf.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 74 years, and three daughters, Ann Alderks (Phillip) of Urbanna, Va., Belle Scott (Robert) of Minneapolis, Minn., and Jennifer Bagley (Frederick) of Mendon, Vt.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren.
We will celebrate her life on Monday morning, July 12th at 11 o'clock at Union Congregational Church, 716 S. Madison Street, with a reception following. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be directed to the Green Bay Service League, in care of Alex Ament, 2066 Autumn Leaves Circle, Green Bay, 54313, or to Jubilee House of Union Congregational Church. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Visiting Nurses Hospice and Home Care Advantage, and to recognize the 50 years of loving service provided by the Burridge's former housekeeper, Vera Krutz.

Ted A. Eul
Ted Eul, a caring and light-hearted husband, father, grandfather and good friend, quietly passed from us on Thursday, July 8, 2004, at home. Ted was born on May 5, 1926, in Shawano, the son of the late Theodore W. and Anna Marie (Priem) Eul. He served his country during WWII with the U.S. Marine Corps from January 1944 until his honorable discharge on March 30, 1946. On June 3, 1950, he married his beloved wife of 54 years, Arlene (Richard). He worked for the Green Bay Correctional Institution for 387 years and retired from there in 1988. Following his retirement, he moved to Florida and has been there for the last 12 years. Ted was an active member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Sarasota, Fla.
Ted is survived by his wife, Arlene; his children, Ted J. (Chris Burns), Plano, Texas, Linda (John) Stoehr, Madison, Greg (Tina Rotsted), Green Bay, Sandy (Al) Jacobs, Green Bay; his seven grandchildren, Jason, Erica, Ryan, Nicole, Kristopher, Anna and Jennifer, all of whom provided him with great joy and love; other relatives and many close friends.
His parents and his sister, Phyllis, preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 4-7 p.m. Monday and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel with the Rev. Lori Swenson officiating. Entombment to follow.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established. A donation will be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church for a new organ.

Gerald "Gerry" Hendzel, 54, Bellevue. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at Proko-Wall Funeral Home,1630 E. Mason St., and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity, Pine Grove. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Robert J. 'Bob' Leonhard
Robert J. "Bob" Leonhard, 82, a longtime resident of Green Bay, died Saturday, July 10, 2004. He was born December 19, 1921, in Greenleaf to the late Edward and Ella (Shaughnessy) Leonhard. Bob graduated from De Pere High School in 1940. He spent over three years in the U.S. Army Air Force, serving in the European Theater. For nearly 40 years, Bob was employed as an engineer on the C&NW Railroad. He and his family have owned and operated Lenny's Tap since 1975. He is survived by six children and their spouses: Barb Cason, Terri Bush, Patt (Quentin) Hepola, Scott and Judy., Tim and Teri, Marty and Treena; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou. Brick, Florence Lynch, and a brother and sister in law, Bill and Lois Leonhard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, his parents, an infant daughter, Susan and a sister, Jeanne.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for family and friends at 11 a.m. Monday at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray St., with Rev. Peter Renard O.Praem. officiating.
Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the Leonhard family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bob's name.
