Pearl M. Coel
Pearl M. Coel, 84, of Moraine Ridge Retirement Center died Tuesday morning, May 9, 2000 at her home. Pearl was born October 19,1 915 in Wild Rose to the late Louis and Rose (Dubois) DeWitt. She married Harold L. Coel in Green Bay on November 24, 1934 and he preceded her in death on August 11, 1984. Pearl graduated from SS. Peter and Paul grade school and attended Green Bay East High School. She was employed for many years at Preble High School as a cafeteria worker. Pearl was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Parish and of the Ladies’ Altar Society.. She found great comfort in faithfully praying the daily rosary every day. Pearl enjoyed crocheting, flower arranging, and dining out with friends and family. She always valued the time she could spend with her family. Pearl is survived by two two sons H. “Sam” Coel of Orange Park, Fla. and Michael Coel of Two Rivers; three daughters and spouses, Karen and Jerry Skaala of Long Grove, Iowa, Diane and Roger Jenko of Ironwood, Mich., Linda and Gordy Hanson of Green Bay; one daughter-in-law, Karen Coel of Mishicot; three sisters and spouses, Hazel Bredael, Helen and Harry Johnson, Janice and Vern Bodart, all of Green Bay; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold “Butch”; one sister, Eunice Steeno; one brother, Richard DeWitt; one daughter-in-law, Kathleen Coel and an infant granddaughter, Michelle Coel. Friends may call at MALCORE Funeral Home, University Ave. at Baird Street, from 4-8 p.m. Friday. Parish Wake Service Friday, 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Visitation continues Saturday at the funeral home until the time of the funeral. SS. Peter & Paul Ladies’ Altar Society rosary will be recited in church prior to the funeral. Funeral Saturday, 12 Noon at SS. Peter & Paul Church with the Rev. Thomas Farrell officiating. Entombment at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Pearl’s memory. Pearl’s family would like to extend a thank you to Unity Hospice, Dr. Ken Kubsch, Helen Teebo, Shannon Frank and all of her dear friends at Moraine Ridge. A very special heartfelt thank you to Janice Bodart who was always there to extend a helping hand.

Henry J. Chaudoir
Henry J. Chaudoir, 90, Green Bay died Thursday, May 11, at a local nursing home. He was born January 12, 1910 in the Township of Union in Wisconsin to Celest and Cornelia (Lampert) Chaudoir. On June 17, 1933, he married Delia La Bine. Henry had been employed in the Brown county Street Maintenance Department. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Delia; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, Donald and Dorothy Chaudoir, Raymond Chaudoir, Norman and Helene Chaudoir and Doris Chaudoir, all of Green Bay; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Roland Chaudoir; one sister, Marie Nevoulias; one nephew, James Chaudoir; and one niece Edith Ann Chaudoir. Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Lyndahl Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Leo S. Adamczyk
Leo S. Adamczyk, 78, of Lakewood, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at the Veteran's Center in Tomah, Wisconsin. He was born on September 6, 1922, in Milwaukee where he lived for almost fifty years. Leo left Bay View High School in 1943, enlisted in the United States Army and fought in World War II. He was badly wounded several times and earned a number of medals, including two purple hearts. Leo retired and relocated to Lakewood in 1970, there becoming an active member of the community. He married Marie Rugg of Lakewood in 1975. They attended the Lakewood Presbyterian Church. Leo is survived by a brother, Henry Genevieve, of Townsend; a sister-in-law, Beatrice, of West Allis; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will sadly be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin, and his wife, Marie. Suminski Funeral Home of Wabeno was in charge of arrangements. The family held private services at the funeral home on Thursday, May 11, 2000.

Rosemary Virginia Hanes
Rosemary Virginia Hanes, 80, 101 First St., Oconto died May 10, 2000 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. The former Rosemary Courchaine was born July 22, 1919 at Oconto to the late William and Mary Schmidt Courchaine. She married Gaylord Hanes Sr. August 7, 1935. He preceded her in death March 11, 1989. Rosemary worked as a nurse's aide at the Oconto Hospital, Riverside Nursing Home, Newbury's and the Oconto Convalescent Home. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Oconto; the Ladies Aid at the church and also served as a Sunday School teacher. Rosemary loved crocheting, gardening and canning. Survivors include four daughters, Shirleyann Robert Reed, Green Bay; Sandra Gene Beekman, Green Bay; Sharon Bob Noel, Marinette; Shelley Michael Jonet, Green Bay; one son, Gaylord Hanes, Jr., Oconto; a sister-in-law, Harriet Brabant, Oconto; a brother-in-law, Raymond Frewerd, Oconto; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Francis, a daughter, Sylvia, brothers and sisters. Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000 at the United Methodist Church, Oconto with Rev. Frederik Schulz officiating. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.

Leah Pillath
Leah Pillath, 93, formerly of Coleman, died Saturday, May 13, 2000 at Rennes Health Center-East, Peshtigo. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pillath was born November 5, 1906 in Pound. She resided her entire life in the Pound and Coleman area until entering the nursing home at Peshtigo. Leah was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pound. Surviving are cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Emma Balcerzak; and two brothers, George and Ansel Pillath. Friends called at Rhodes-Charapaa Funeal Home, Coleman from 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2000 until the time of services. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James Frisby officiating. Interment in the First Baptist Cemetery, Pound.

Lloyd O. Andrews
Lloyd O. Andrews, 84, Lakewood, died May 13, 2000 at the Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette following a short illness. He was born in Carter on February 7, 1916 to the late William and Maude Hammond Andrews. Lloyd married Jenneda Herning on February 2, 1940 in Crandon. He was employed by the U.S. Forest Service, working for the Lakewood Ranger Station for 25 years until retiring in 1976. Lloyd enjoyed his trips out West - going hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed his Labrador dogs and planting trees. Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Jenneda Andrews, of Lakewood; his half brother, Tytus Germaine Collins, of Wabeno; two sisters-in-law, Donella Andrews, of Akron, OH, Dora Andrews, of Sheboygan, MI; his sister, Elna Criscone, of Sun City Center, FL; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Glenn, Leo, and William; two sisters, Florence Bailey and Opal Andrews. Visitation was held Tuesday, May 16, 2000 at The Northwood Bible Fellowship Church in Lakewood beginning at 9:30 a.m. Funeral services were 11 a.m. at the Church with Pastor Dennis L. Larson officiating. Burial was in Lakewood Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring was in charge of arrangements.

Helen Agnes Pahl
Helen Agnes Pahl, 96, 101 First St., Oconto, died May 10, 2000 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 25, 1904 in Two Rivers to the late August and Anna Gould Glandt. She married Louis Pahl on November 29, 1923 in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death January 25, 1977. Helen moved here in 1945. She worked for the Great Lakes Shoe Co. for many years. Helen was a beautiful seamstress and also enjoyed water and oil painting. She loved tending her flower garden. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the Altar Society at the Church. Helen is survived by three daughters, Patricia VanHulle, Oconto; Mary Jean Russell Elfner, Suring; Joan Arlend Whiting, Suring; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; an infant daughter; two sisters, Alice and Marie; a son-in-law, George VanHulle. Friends called at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Joseph Site from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Site with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Memorials may be given to Holy Trinity Parish Church Building Fund. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto assisted the family.

Kenneth W. Trepanier
Kenneth W. Trepanier, 62, of Shawano, died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, from injuries in a house fire. He was born September 25, 1937, at Oconto, the son of Ralph Trepanier and the late Florence McIntosh Trepanier. He served with the United States Air Force and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was married on October 5, 1963, at Port Washington to Joyce Keller. She preceded him in death on July 18, 1999. They owned and operated Ken's South Side Grocery for many years and he was employed by the City of Shawano Street Department, retiring in 1999. Survivors include his daughter, Michele Roger Genke of Shawano; one son, Todd (special friend, Terri Radtke) of Shawano; grandchildren, Randa and Chanden Genke, Kayla and Keegan Gast all of Shawano; his father, Ralph Trepanier of Oconto; three sisters, Arlene (John) Pacourek of Coleman, Carol Jean (Richard) Lebreck of Lakewood, Terese Trepanier of Oconto. Funeral services were Friday, May 12, at 11 a.m., at Swedberg Funeral Home of Shawano with Father Len Evers officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Shawano American Legion Post 117. Friends called at Swedberg Funeral Home.
