Esther A. Bolssen
Esther A. Bolssen, 83, Howard, passed away after a short illness on Friday, June 4, 2004, at a local hospital. Esther was born on July 14, 1920 in Markesan, Wis., to the late Richard and Ruth (Kuske) Thym. On August 12, 1939, she married Clarence J. Bolssen at St. John the Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1986. She enjoyed being a homemaker, bowling, crouching and fishing at Kelly and White Potatoe Lake.

Survivors include her children: Roger (Donna) Bolssen; Jerry Bolssen, of Green Bay; Pat Hyde, Howard; Bonnie McArdle; Ronald Bolssen, of Green Bay; Robert (Carol) Bolssen, Ashwaubenon; Dennis (Marcia) Bolssen, Howard; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Jerry Cumber, Ashwaubenon; one brother, Orland Kuske, Kunesh; two sisters: Geraldine (Lloyd) Bonnin, AngeliIca; Deloris (Mitchell) Luberda, Oneida.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Donna Cumber; one granddaugher, Michelle Bolssen; parents; one sister, Dorothy Van DeHei; and one brother, Elroy Kuske.

The family will receive friends at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home, Howard-Suamico Location, 1145 Cardinal Lane, on Monday, June 7, from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral service 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank P. Kauzlarich officiating. Burial in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Howard. Andrew J. Pfotenhauer, Funeral Director.

The family would like to thank the ICU Unit, nurses and pastoral staff of St. Mary's Hospital for the wonderful care.

Hudson Doxtator, 86, Oneida. Visitation 5-8 p.m. today and 9-10:10 a.m. Monday at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere. Oneida Indian hymns at 6:30 p.m. and parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Apostles Church, Freedom Road, Oneida. Survivors include one son, Kevin (Jeannie) Doxtator, Seymour; one daughter, Mary Jane Pittman; stepchildren Betty (Ken) Hill and Ken (Barb) Schuyler, all of Oneida; 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, May Huff and Leona Smith.

Caroline Hock-Meeuwsen
Caroline Hock-Meeuwsen, 89, De Pere. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth St., De Pere and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere. Parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Rose F. Huxford
On Saturday, June 5, 2004, Rose F. Huxford, 91, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, completed her earthly journey and has arrived home to be forever with her beloved husband, Bill.

Rose was born on September 15, 1912, in Green Bay to the late Arthur and Sarah Cameron. On August 16, 1934, she married William (Bill) F. Huxford. Together they owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store in Green Bay for many years. She was one of the founding wives of the Northeast Wisconsin Beagle Club; a volunteer at Nativity Church; associated 30 plus years with the Brown County Human Services guardianship program; a member of Al Rollo's Organ Club; a 20 year volunteer at Woodside Nursing Home; and Treasurer of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. Rose always had time for others. She will be remembered for her delicious baking, card playing, organ playing, craft skills, knit slippers, and endless hours of volunteer work.

She is survived by eight children; Richard (Beverly) Huxford, DePere; Lynn (Robert) Welsing, Green Bay; Mary (Jim) Deprey, Green Bay; Robert Huxford, Green Bay; David Huxford, Suamico; Teri (Lavern) Nordby, Moorhead, Minn.; Ginny (Don) Jared, Green Bay; Jeanne (Steve) Schomisch, De Pere; 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and two lifelong friends, Audrey Daul and Clara Campshure.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Bill on August 20, 1982; two sisters, Edna Jones and Bernice Rosera; one grandson, Andy John Huxford; a brother-in-law, James Huxford and his wife Viola.

Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4-8 p.m. Monday with a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. James Hablewitz officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to mom's angel, Yvette and her co-workers at Unity Hospice, the staff of St. Mary's Hospital and her doctors for their care and concern.

We were so privileged to have you as our mother, grandmother and great grandmother and felt especially fortunate to have you with us as long as we did. We shall love you always.

Survivors include her husband, Steve; two sons, Mark Treskon, Washington, D.C. and Matthew Treskon, Baltimore; two brothers, Clem (Helen) Ogurek, Wausau and Ed (Jean) Ogurek, Arizona; and two sisters, Laverne (Jim) Clark, Mosinee and Gertie (Bill) Higley, Illinois.

Veronica "Ronnie" Kohler
Veronica "Ronnie" Kohler, 91, Green Bay. Visitation 9:30-11 a.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 211 N. Maple Ave. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. today at the church. Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Helen Bednarz, Green Bay, Marian Bednarz, Goodman; many nieces and nephews. Proko-Wall Funeral Home and Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., is assisting the family.

Karen Lee A. Lehrmann
Karen Lee A. Lehrmann, age 65, of Two Rivers, died Wednesday afternoon, May 26, 2004, at Kewaunee Care Center, Kewaunee.

Karen Lee was born Dec. 29, 1938, the daughter of the late Ralph and Elva (Kuehl) Rogalski. She attended Kewaunee High School, graduating with the Class of 1956. On June 4, 1960, Karen Lee married Roger Lehrmann at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaunee.

She helped out at the family farm and, most recently, enjoyed delivering newspapers to homes and stores. Karen Lee enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to make felt magnets, sew and how to deliver newspapers. She loved to feed the birds and watch wildlife. She was a faithful supporter of her children in their 4-H years. Her support has carried on in 4-H with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Roger, Two Creeks; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lori and Perry (Fonz) Lauscher, Two Creeks, and their four children, Rebecca, Carolyn, Nathaniel, Elizabeth; Lisa Lehrmann and fiance, Roger (Rahr) Olson Jr., Eagle River, and her daughter, Samantha Lehrmann; her mother-in-law, Grace Lehrmann, Manitowoc; five sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marie (Eugene) Skarvan, Jean (Richard) Becker, Eileen (Kenny) Gretz, Luella (David) Soukup, Joyce (Don) Mueller; one brother-in-law, Kenny Zuege; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Karen Lee was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Henry Lehrmann; one sister, Sandra Zuege; one nephew, Dean Zuege; one brother-in-law, Glenn Bruechert.

The family greeted relatives and friends on Monday, May 31, from 4-8 p.m. at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Visitation continued at Immanuel Evangelical Luther-an Church, Kewaunee, on Tuesday from 9-11 a.m.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, at the church. Officiating at the service was Rev. Maurice Hoppe, with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joyce Mueller and Jenny Zima for the time spent with Karen Lee on her last day. A thank you also to the Mishicot Area Ambulance Responders.

Survivors include three sisters, Helen Martin, De Pere, Marie (Raymond) Merkel, Milwaukee, Ann Wavrunek, De Pere; two brothers, John Wavrunek, Ed (Rose) Wavrunek, all of Pilsen. McMahon Funeral Home, 530 Main St., Luxemburg, is assisting the family.
