Robert F. Baumgart
Robert F. Baumgart, 90, Denmark. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home, 536 County R, Denmark, and 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 503 Grand Ave., Denmark. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Garry) Lemberger, Cato, Nancy (Robert) Brown, Stanwood, Wash.; two sons, Richard (Gail) Baumgart, Pleasant Prairie, Frederick Baumgart, Two Rivers; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Ruby M. 'Wedgwood' Kuxmann
Ruby M. "Wedgwood" Kuxmann, 92, Green Bay, died Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at her home with her family by her side. She was born November 7, 1912, in Little Suamico, Wis., to the late George and Marie (Schulke) Wedgwood. She married Robert A. Kuxmann on July 29, 1931; he preceded her in death in February, 2000. She spent her life as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Ruby enjoyed working with her flowers, feeding and watching birds, many rides to the north country and all her special times with her children and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

Survivors include her four children, Kenneth Kuxmann and friend, Monica Mutz, Suamico; Carole and Lew Imig, Ashwaubenon; Robert W. and Jean Kuxmann, Suamico; and Diane and Dennis O'Connor, Ashwaubenon; seven grandchildren, LuEllen and Mike Oskey; David and Cindy Imig; Laurie and Kevin Taicher; Jody and Dale Heuer, Steven and Julie Kuxmann; Scott and Anita Kuxmann; and Ryan and Kristin O'Connor; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Leona Skovera and Gloria Wedgwood; special cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Dean Kuxmann and one brother, George W. Wedgwood.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 12, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Avenue at Ridge Road. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 South Oneida St., where the funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stephen Pope officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Little Suamico.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice for their understanding care.

Ludmila "Ludy" J. Menger
Ludmila "Ludy" J. Menger, 80, Green Bay. A private family service will be held. Survivors include three daughters, Barbie (Karl) Appleton, Green Bay, Becky (Michael) Mann, Pound, Nancy (Dan) Skogg, Green Bay; three sons, Wayne Menger, Maine, Daniel Menger (fiancee, Meri), Green Bay, Tim (Shelly) Menger, Wausaukee; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; two brothers, George and Tony Kust; one sister, Edith Weerzba. Pfotenhauer Funeral Home West, 1145 Cardinal Lane, Howard, is assisting the family.

Evelyn Rzepka (Mrs. Bernard)
Evelyn Rzepka (Mrs. Bernard), 82, Green Bay. Visitation 4-9 p.m. today at Marnocha Funeral Home, 186 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, 124 E. Pulaski St., Pulaski. Parish wake service 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Survivors include her husband, Bernie; one son, Jerry Rzepka (Denise Lemke), Green Bay; two grandchildren.

Thomas F. "Tom" Walaski

Marie C. Albers
Marie C. Albers, 99, Green Bay resident, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 10, 2004. She was born August 7, 1905 in the town of Lincoln to the late Anton and Clara (Bottkol) Gotstein. Marie married Carl "Whitey" Albers on November 27, 1928 at Holy Trinity Church in Casco. He preceded her in death in 1986. She was employed at St. Vincent Hospital as a nurses aid for 15 years. Marie was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and was active in the St. Ann Society and the Mission Club. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Homemakers Club. Marie also enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Green Bay Square Dance Club.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Nancy Albers, Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Donald Massey, Two rivers; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn (Carl) Obry and Clara Gotstein; three brothers, Anthony (Esther) Gotstein, Walter (Betty) Gotstein, and infant brother, Edward.

Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., from 3-7 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, corner of Monroe and Doty streets, until time of Mass. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with Msgr. Robert Gulig and Rev. John Doerfler officiating. Burial in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Lester F. Kollath
Lester F. Kollath, 80, longtime resident of Green Bay, died unexpectedly Monday, November 8, 2004, at his home. He was born January 4, 1924, in the town of Pittsfield to the late Frederick and Emma (Kroening) Kollath. Les served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne from 1945 to 1947 in Germany. He married the former Esther Boeder on July 1, 1950, in Wayside at Zion Lutheran Church. Les worked for Nicolet Paper for 38 years before retiring to an active life as a volunteer. Les was active for many years with the Dynamic Maturity Program of the Curative Workshop. He also volunteered for Aspiro (Brown County Association For Retarded Citizens), and the MS Support Group. He was also an elder for his church, Our Saviour Lutheran.

Les is survived by his wife, Esther; his children, Karen, Lake Zurich, Ill., and Curtis Kollath, Green Bay; sister-in-law, Ruth Bohnert, Palatine, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law, Rudy and Marjorie Boeder, Brillion; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Oscar (Lillian) Kollath, Ervin (Tillie) Kollath and Elroy Kollath. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, children, family and friends.

Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home & Crematory, 1630 E. Mason St., on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 120 S. Henry St., from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Dave Hatch and Rev. Arthur Callesen officiating. Entombment at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established at ASPIRO in Mr. Kollath's name.

Mary (Mae) Layden

Survivors include three sons, Mike (Diane) Layden, Green Bay, Dennis (Kathy) Layden, Green Bay, Joe (Eileen) Layden, Green Bay; two daughters, Sister Brigid, CSA, Milwaukee, Annie (Bill) Emmerich, Chicago; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Anna McInerney, Peg Vaughn, both of Ireland. Cecilia Sikhart
Cecilia Sikhart, 85, Green Bay. Visitation 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. Memorial service 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Survivors include three sisters, Beatrice Robertson, Mary Ellen McCormack, Virginia Coughlin; one brother, Bernard Sikhart.

Rev. Harvey Herbert Toonen
Reverend Harvey Herbert Toonen, O. Praem., age 87, a member of the Norbertine Community of St. Norbert Abbey, De Pere, Wis., and a Norbertine priest, passed into God's eternal kingdom on November 8, 2004. Son of the late Chris and Olive (Savageau) Toonen, Father Harvey was born in Green Bay, Wis., on November 25, 1916. His home parish was St. Patrick Parish, Green Bay, Wis. In 1934 Father Toonen graduated from St. Norbert High School, De Pere, Wis. He received a B.A. degree in Philosophy from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wis., in 1938 and an M.A. degree in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1948. On August 28, 1935, Father Toonen entered St. Norbert Abbey and was vested as a novice. He professed Simple Vows on August 28, 1937, and Solemn Vows on August 28, 1940. On June 26, 1941, he was ordained to the Priesthood.

Father Toonen served on the faculties of Southeast Catholic High School, Philadelphia, Pa.; Archmere Academy, Claymont, Del.; Central Catholic-Premontre High Schools, Green Bay; and St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wis. Fr. Toonen also served as Principal at Premontre High School for nine years. Parish work included Assistant Pastor at St. Cecelia Parish, Clearwater, Fla., and Associate Pastor at St. Joseph Priory Parish, De Pere and St. Willebrord Parish, Green Bay. Other positions held by Father Toonen include Prior of St. Michael Priory, Green Bay and Associate Director of Formation at Padres Norbertinos, Lima, Peru. In May of 1986 Father Toonen began ministering to the Hispanic people of the Green Bay Diocese and surrounding areas. The purpose was to help build a sense of community among the 5,000-plus Hispanics living in this area by presiding at Mass and occasionally visiting them to develop personal ties and an element of trust with them, as well as to assist the diocese in meeting some of the educational and sacramental needs of the Hispanic community. Fr. Harvey was a congenial man who was deeply committed to his community and to his priestly ministry. He threw himself fully into every ministry he undertook. "I will choose a faithful priest who shall do what I have in heart and mind. I will establish a lasting house for him, which shall function in the presence of my anointed forever." (I Sam. 2:35)

Father Toonen is survived by the Norbertine Community; one sister, Ruth Canadeo; one brother, Clayton; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Marvil Biebel, Iola Zarter, and Hazel Sternard.

The Reception of the Body/Vespers of the Dead Service will be held at St. Norbert Abbey on Thursday, November 11, 2004, at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will follow until 9 p.m. and will continue on Friday, November 12, from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Abbey Church on Friday, November 12, 2004, at 11:30 a.m. Rt. Rev. Gary J. Neville, O. Praem., Abbot of St. Norbert Abbey, will preside at the funeral liturgy. A bilingual Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, November 15, at St. Willebrord Parish in Green Bay at 7 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth J. De Groot, O. Praem. presiding. Burial will be in the St. Norbert Abbey Cemetery.

Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is in charge of the arrangements.

Richard L. Walter
Richard L. Walter, 57, Green Bay. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave, and after 11 a.m. Friday at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane. Funeral service noon Friday at the church. Survivors include two sons, Benjamin Walter, Joshua (Heather) Walter, both of Green Bay; one brother, Robert (Mary Ann) Walter, Taiwan.
