William A. Borchardt, 82, Edgar, died Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Wausau Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 22 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Edgar, with Rev. Jeff Tarras officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Melvin Juedes

(1918-2003)

Melvin Juedes, 85, Dorchester, died Friday, Nov. 21 at his home. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 26 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester, with Rev. Jerome Freimuth officiating. Burial was in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Schultz, Al Prestebak, Lavern Oehler, Kenny Ellingson, Lloyd Kalepp, Adam Umlauft and Ron Juedes.

Maurina Funeral Home of Dorchester assisted the family with arrangements.

Kathleen Musiedlak

(1946-2003)

Jump River native Kathleen Musiedlak, 57, died Saturday, Nov. 22 in Milwaukee. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 26 at St. Bernadette’s Church, and burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, both in Milwaukee.

Schramka Funeral Home of Milwaukee assisted the family with arrangements.

Judith Schaffer

(1942-2003)

Judith Janell "Judy" Schaffer, 61, Town of Mayville, Clark County, died Saturday, Nov. 22 at her home. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 26 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby, with Rev. John Malik officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery in Curtiss. Pallbearers were Jess, Rob and Bobby Hansen, Geoff and Greg King, and Scott Koch. Gary King is an honorary pallbearer.

Mark Warner

Mark E. Warner, 50, New Castle, Del., died Tuesday, Nov. 4 at his home. He is the son of the late Raymond O. and Betty Warner and grandson of the late Raymond and Nina Warner.

Medford native Madlin Kulig, 80, Independence, died Monday, Nov. 3 at Tri-County Memorial Nursing Home in Whitehall. Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 7 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Independence, with Rev. Douglas Robertson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Ralph Behrens, 44, Colby, died Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Colonial Center in Colby. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby, with Rev. Mark Neumann officiating. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, beginning at 10 a.m.

Marjean Cizik

(1921-2003)

Marjean Theresa Cizik, 82, Town of Hixon, Clark County, died Sunday, Nov. 2 at St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care in Marshfield. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen, with Rev. Eric Linzmaier officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Withee.

Carroll De Quasie

(1916-2003)

Carroll George De Quasie, 87, died Friday, Oct. 31 at Zastrow Care Center in Gilman. Graveside services were Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River, with military rites conducted by Hugh Warner Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2977.

Harvey Fierke

(1914-2003)

Harvey E. Fierke, 88, Abbotsford, died Saturday, Nov. 1 at Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford. Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 4 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester, with Rev. Jerome Freimuth officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Medford. Pallbearers were Bill Fierke, Alan Ridderbusch, Matt and Rachel Karasek, Todd and Sarah Zuber.

Everett Frahmann

Former Town of Holway resident Everett A. Frahmann, 77, Waukesha, died Friday Oct. 24 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Memorial services were Tuesday, Oct. 28 at St. Andrews Church in Waukesha.

Wayne Hasseldick

(1933-2003)

Wayne H. Hasseldick, 69, Town of Deer Creek, died Thursday, Oct. 30 at his home under hospice care. Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 2 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stetsonville, with Rev. James Babler officiating. Burial was in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Post No. 519 of Stetsonville. Pallbearers were Ralph Berry, Paul Strong, Don Lekie, Randy Pitzke, Kayo Pope and Bud Duhai. Honorary pallbearers were Justin Jacobsen, Ralph Pitzke, George Fischer, Don Abegglen, Marlin Kraus and Bob Pfaff.

Douglas Johnson Sr.

(1928-2003)

Douglas J. Johnson Sr., 75, Hamilton, Mont. died Wednesday, Oct. 29 while elk hunting. Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton, with Rev. John Capen of the Victor Church of the Nazarene officiating. Military honors were presented by the Hamilton American Legion and the USMC League, Bitterroot Detachment. Private family urn placement will take place at a later date.

Margaret Loertscher

(1915-2003)

Former Town of Browning resident Margaret L. Loertscher, 87, Town of Beaver, Clark County, died Saturday, Nov. 1 at St. Joseph's Hospice and Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield. Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester, with Rev. Robert Everhard officiating. Burial was in Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Nephews Mitch Paur, Gordy Hirsch, Tom Heinz, Ken, Dennis and Ron Loertscher served as pallbearers.

Alvin Sward

(1932-2003)

Former Medford resident Alvin O. Sward, 71, West Lebanon, Ind., died Friday, Oct. 31 at his home. Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 3 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Attica, Ind., with Rev. Charles Kline officiating. Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.

James Baehr

(1942-2004)

Former Abbotsford resident James "Jim" Herbert Baehr, 61, Dixon, Calif., died Thursday, Jan. 22 in Dixon. Funeral services are Saturday, Jan. 31 at 10:30 a.m. at the Maurina Funeral Home in Dorchester, with Rev. Kenneth Dix officiating. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery with full military rites by Colby Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2227. Pallbearers are David Baehr, Aaron Lynn, Ed Voss, Dick Seefluth, Jim Lamont, and David Rueden. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.
