With her family beside her, she was reunited with her beloved husband of 63 years, Harry F. Klug, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2001. Minnie is now at peace with the Lord and with Mother Mary.
Above all, Minnie devoted herself to her husband and her family. She was loved by and will be sadly missed by her children, Janet Zierath (Ron Rauen), Jayne Cappelletti (Victor), John (Cheryl); by her grandchildren, Juleen Zierath, Daniel Zierath (Kore Pickard), David Zierath, Vincent Cappelletti (Vicki), Dominic Cappelletti, Jennifer Barth (Robert), Justin Klug (Lisa); and by her great-grandchildren, Michael Cappelletti, Elijah Barth and Angelina Barth. Minnie is further survived by her "sisters" Belma Niemi, Ella Blaha, Ethel Ziemke and other dear relatives.
Minnie worked hard her entire life from the time of her childhood, growing up on the Rib Lake farm of her cherished grandparents, Albert and Wilhelmina Ziemke, until she retired from service at Mt. Mary College. Minnie enjoyed painting, knitting, and fishing. She will be remembered as a woman possessing tremendous love, wisdom, strength and determination, who was always there for her family.
The family wishes to thank and acknowledge Minnie's second family, all the members of the staff of Luther Manor Health Care Center who touched her life everyday. On behalf of Minnie, Luther Manor's "flower lady," we express our sincerest appreciation for the care, respect, friendship, support and love you gave to her and to us.
