James Feddick
(1928-2006)
James R. Feddick, age 77 of Tucson, Ariz., passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on January 9, 2006. Born November 17, 1928 in Nekoosa. Preceded in death by one child, Mary Feddick, his parents, Paul and Margaret Feddick, along with sister-in-law Ardell Feddick. Survived by his beloved loving wife of 24 years, Connie Feddick, Tucson; one sister, Rowena (Aneselm) Schmid, Dorchester; four brothers, Richard (Valerie) Feddick, Long Branch, Minn., Robert (Barbara) Feddick, Tucson, David (Ruth) Feddick, Abbotsford, and Raymond Feddick, Medford; four children, Jay (Patti) Feddick, Tucson, Lynda (Frank) Neal, Cerro Gordo, Ill., Jaci (Dennis) Salmons, Lathan, Ill., and Paul Feddick, Tucson; two stepchildren, Todd (Mary Beth) Gandy, Harrison, Ohio, and Chad Gandy, Tucson; along with nine grandchildren, six stepgrandchilden and one great-grandchild.
Jim worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 32 years as Vice President of Grain Marketing; Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) for 10 years as Corporate Officer, Vice President of Transportation and President of ADM Trucking. In 1990 he retired, moved to Tucson and opened Feddick Window and Door Corp. of Tucson.
He was a long time car enthusiast, very active in the club and held offices in the local chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club of Southern Arizona, member of the Studebaker Avanti Club, Studebaker Antique Club, Lincoln Club and Packard Club.
Viewing Sunday, January 15th, 2006 at Bring’s Broadway Chapel, 6910 Broadway Blvd., 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 16th, 1 p.m. at St. John on the Desert Presbyterian Church, 2695 N. Houghton Road.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to The Salvation Army, 1001 N. Richey, Tucson, AZ 85716.
Joan Hutman
(1913-2006)
Joan H. Hutman, 92, of Medford, died Sunday, Jan. 15 while under the care of Hope Hospice, at Lighthouse Elder Care in Medford, where she had resided the past two years. No services will be held.

Iona Paustian
(1935-2006)
Jump River native Iona “Onie” Marie Paustian, 70, Safety Harbor, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 10 at her home while under hospice care. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Dunedin, Fla. Graveside services were held at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor, Fla.
Victor Poehnelt
(1928-2006)
Victor “Oscar” Gustav Poehnelt, 78, of Chelsea, died Monday, Jan. 16 at Memorial Health Center in Medford. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Whittlesey, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Interment will be at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Olson, David Olson, Tim Olson, John Olson, Mike Olson, Justin Olson, Matt Olson and Allan Eisner.
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral in Rib Lake, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Carol Schmudlach
(1938-2006)
Carol Ann Schmudlach, 67, of Rib Lake, died Friday, Jan. 13 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 20 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rib Lake, with Rev. Roger Sloan officiating. Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in the Town of Spirit at a later date. Pallbearers will be Dick Ninaus, Carl Ninaus, Bruno Ninaus, Fred Hengst, Joe Schmidfranz Sr., Dustin Schmudlach, Jason Schmudlach and Jerry Kolpacki.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home in Rib Lake, and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
David Weiler
David James Weiler, infant son of Darrell Weiler and Lisa Sodoma, was stillborn Tuesday, Jan. 17 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home in Athens.
Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
Pearl Albiniak
(1915-2005)
Pearl Albiniak, 90, Gilman area, died Thursday, Dec. 29 at Zastrow Care Center while under the care of Hope Hospice of Rib Lake. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 2 at the Gilman Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Leschensky officiating. Burial was at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman.

Gwendyth Barrett

Gwendyth “Gwen” E. Barrett, 87, Tomah, died Sunday, Dec. 25 at Memorial Hospital in Medford. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 30 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Tomah, with Father John E. Ambelang officiating. Burial was at Warrens-Mills Cemetery in Warrens.

Frances Callies
(1913-2006)
Former Edgar resident Frances E. Callies, 92, Abbotsford, died Sunday, Jan. 1 at House of the Dove in Marshfield. A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 4 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, High Steeple, in the Town of Wein, with Reverend Matthew Christians officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.

Thomas A. Carroll, 86, Oshkosh, died Sunday, Jan. 1 at Mercy Medical Center. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Jan 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Oshkosh. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home in Oshkosh, and on Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Douglas E. Dassow, 40, Medford, died Tuesday, Jan. 3 at the House of Dove Hospice Home in Marshfield. Funeral services will be on Friday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey, with Pastor Randal Jeppesen officiating. Burial will be at Chelsea Community Cemetery in the Town of Chelsea. Pallbearers will be Ken Wegerer, Mike and Monte Loertscher, Wayne Malchow, Tim Brandner, Todd Lindau and Lorin and Tommy Dassow. Honorary pallbearers are the Bucktail Lodge Hunting Crew and The Pot Belly 35 and Older Softball Team.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, and also at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
John Fredrickson
(1936-2005)
John J. Fredrickson, 69, Jump River area, died Thursday, Dec. 29 at his home while under the care of Hope Hospice of Rib Lake. A graveside service with military graveside rites will be held during the summer of 2006 at Mount Nebo Cemetery in Jump River.

Samantha Jo “Sam” “Josie” Fuchs, 18, Medford, died Friday, Dec. 20 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. A mass of Christian burial was held Monday, Jan. 2 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Whittlesey, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Interment was at St. Ann’s Cemetery in the Town of Greenwood. Pallbearers were Dustin Bartelt, Devin Bartelt, Damin Bartelt, Sara Fuchs, Becky Fuchs, Andrea Fuchs, Kayla Roiger and Katie Adams.

Medford native Robert F. Krueger, 78, Iola, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 surrounded by all his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and others at Appleton Medical Center, in peace 23 minutes after the reading of the 23rd Psalm.

Former Lublin resident Edward E. Mravik, 88, Skokie, Ill. died Thursday, Dec. 15. Funeral services were held at St. Peter Church in Skokie.
