Former Medford resident Helen J. Ecklund, 91, Madison, died Wednesday, Jan. 9 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison, where she had resided the past six months. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 12 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with Rev. David McBride of The United Church of Christ in Medford officiating. Interment was at Medford Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dana Nielsen, Lars Ecklund-Mitchell, George Lang, Jeffrey Johnson, and Duane and Gary Braun.

Donna M. Ziegler, 77, Town of Medford, died Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Memorial Health Center in Medford where she had been a patient for the past six weeks. Funeral services were Wednesday, Jan. 9 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Burial was in Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford.

Former Gilman resident Judith Ann Tamblyn, 66, Grand View, died Thursday, Jan. 3 at her residence in Grand View. Memorial services will be Thursday, Jan. 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Hill Memorial Park Chapel in Oak Creek with Pastor Jack Stubbs of the South Milwaukee United Methodist Church officiating. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mac A. Shatwell, 65, Bellinger, died Wednesday, Jan. 2 at the Gilman Care Center. A visitation was held Saturday, January 5 at the Gilman Funeral Home. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 8 at the Holt Memorial Chapel in Harrison, Ark. with Brother Bud Byerley officiating. Burial followed in the Red Rock Cemetery, Vendor, Ark.

Nellie Schmidt, 96, Rib Lake, died Friday, Jan. 4 at Golden Living Center in Rib Lake. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 7 at Higgins Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.

Marvin "Marv" H. Martinson, 82, Westboro, died Sunday, Jan. 6 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 11 at 12 p.m. at Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home in Rib Lake, with Rev. Bob Giese officiating. After the service full military honors will be conducted by Premeau-Schauss VFW of Westboro.
Visitation will be held Friday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Former Medford resident Floyd H. Berger, 88, Thorp, died Sunday, Jan. 6 at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley, where he had been a patient for the past four days. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in the Town of Holway with Pastor Kris Bjerke-Ulliman officiating. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Our Saviours Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers are Warren Behling, Harvey Halverson, Harry Frosch, Brian Hallgren, Bob Weeks and Ken Nernberger. Steven Russell Vojtech, 32, Park Falls was found dead Friday, Dec. 28 in the Town of Hill. A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 2 at the Word of Life Family Church, with Pastor Terry Sellers officiating. Inurnment will be in the Emery Cemetery in the Town of Emery.

Former Medford resident Arlene K. Morrison, 80, Denver, Colo., died Sunday, Dec. 2. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Whittlesey.
The former Arlene Klemm was born March 17, 1927 in Racine to the late Ernest and Margaret Klemm. She was raised in Medford and attended Rib Lake High School.

Clifford F. Meyer, 93, Medford, died Saturday, Dec. 29 at Memorial Nursing Home in Medford. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger, Father Dennis Meulemans and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Interment of his cremated remains will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery at a later time. Pallbearers are Jason, Justin and Josh Meyer, Terry Steinman and Pat Beidel.

Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 28 at St. Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Goodrich with Rev. Carl J. Busse officiating.

Ruth E. Koplin, 79, Town of Holway, died Monday, Dec. 31 at her home while under the care of her family and Hope Hospice. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in the Town of Holway, with Pastor Kris Bjerke-Ulliman officiating. Interment will be at Our Saviours Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Town of Holway. Pallbearers will be Chad, Deron, Scott, Allen and Todd Olson and Charlie, Dennis and David Lavin.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Albin Joseph Kochan, 84, Ogema, died Sunday, Dec. 16 at his home. Funeral services were Wednesday Dec.19 at Heindl Funeral Home in Prentice, with Deacon Paul Ochodnicky of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Prentice officiating. Military Honors were conducted by the Ogema American Legion Post and Southern Price County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Interment was in the Hillside Cemetery in Ogema. His grandsons served as pallbearers.

Philip J. "Corky" Knepper Jr., 58, Town of Hammel, died Wednesday, Dec. 26 at his home. Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 29 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford with Sister Shirley Wagner officiating. Military rites were performed by the Medford military honors team. Burial was in the Town of Molitor Catholic Cemetery. His pallbearers were Robert, Steve, and Joseph Knepper, Bruce Schwarz, Mitch and Eric Haizel
