Glenn J. Darst, 93, Medford, former Superior resident, died Friday, Jan. 25 at Our House Assisted Living in Medford.

Archie Dake
1920-2008
Archie A. Dake, 87, Stetsonville, was pronounced dead Thursday, Jan. 24 at his home in the Town of Deer Creek. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stetsonville, with Rev. James H. Babler officiating. Interment was at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stetsonville. Pallbearers were Ronald, David, Allen, Steve, Jason and Adam Dake, Todd Anderson and Chad Rothmeier.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

Suzanne Thieme
1933-2008
Suzanne "Cookie" Dora Thieme, 74, Medford, died Sunday, Feb. 24 at Golden Living Center in Rib Lake under the care of Hope Hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Rib Lake, with Father Bernie Byrne officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Rib Lake. Pallbearers are Ray Peche, Mark Tlusty, Jerry Thieme, Aaron Parks, Scott Ochodnicky and Harvey Thieme.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.

Raymond Pawlicki
Raymond J. Pawlicki, 64, Thorp, died Thursday, Feb. 21 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 25 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. Burial was at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
Thorp Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Leon Meyer
1931-2008
Leon C. Meyer, 76, Medford, died Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Memorial Nursing Home in Medford, where he had resided the past two weeks. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 29 at 11 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating, and military rites performed by the Medford Military Honors Team. Cremainal inurnment will take place in the spring at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford. Pallbearers are Will Geiser, Stanley Jorgensen, Dave Armbrust, Pete Tom, Bruce Stevens, John Brede and Ron and Bill Hayden.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and on Friday from 9 to 10:45 a.m.

Dennis Lansing
1959-2008
Dennis Michael Lansing, 48, Hammond, died Thursday, Feb. 21 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 25 at O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, with Pastor Carrie Hamm officiating.
Dennis Lansing was born July 18, 1959 in Menomonie to Kermit Dell and Ramona Arlene (Holden) Lansing. He graduated from high school in 1977 from Spring Valley and attended St. Paul, Minn., Technical College. He worked for Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department for over 10 years and served as union president for five years.

Raymond Lange
1928-2008
Raymond F. Lange, age 79, of Medford, died February 26, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hope Hospice. He was born in Medford on April 2, 1928 to Herbert and Agnes (Brokish) Lange.

Thomas Keefe
1925-2008
Thomas F. Keefe, age 82, of Medford, died Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Memorial Health Center in Medford, surrounded by his family and under the care of Hope Hospice. He was born in Beloit on October 27, 1923 to Thomas F. and Rose Ellen (Boheim) Keefe. His parents both died before he had reached school age, and he came to Medford to live with his grandfather, Fred Boheim. Tom attended Holy Rosary Grade School and he graduated from Medford High School in 1943. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II aboard the USS Wyoming. He married Melva Jean Strebig on June 12, 1947 in Wausau. He worked for Thorp Finance, Martin Motors and Montgomery Ward, before being recalled to active duty aboard the USS Monson during the Korean conflict. He returned to Medford in 1953 and joined Strebig Auto Co. and its TV Sales and Repair division. In 1956, he and Raymond Lange co-founded Northland Furniture Company. In 1970, Tom, by then sole owner of Keefe's Family Furniture, moved the business to Medford's "Miracle Mile." He retired in 1988, and he and Melva enjoyed life together spending their winters as "snowbirds" in Sebring, Fla., and their summers in Medford, and travels in the U.S. and abroad in between.

Alice Dawson
Former Lublin resident Alice J. Dawson, 72, Cornell, died Friday, Feb. 22 at the Cornell Area Care Center. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Thorp Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Sindler officiating. Burial was at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Lublin.

Janet Bergman
1952-2008
Janet "Tubby" Bergman, 55, Marathon, died Saturday, Feb. 23 at her home under comfort care and hospice services. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 27 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon, with Rev. Joseph Diermeier officiating. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Athens.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home of Marathon assisted the family with arrangements.

Thomas F. Keefe
1925-2008
Thomas F. Keefe, 82, Medford, died Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Memorial Health Center where he had resided for less than a week. Visitation will be held on Friday, Feb. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials in his name to Project Lifesaver, Hope Hospice, or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Hemer Funeral Services of Medford is assisting the family with arrangements.

Meriam Troyer
1919-2008
Meriam M. Troyer, 88, Town of Holway, died Thursday, Feb. 14 at her home while under the care of her family and Hope Hospice. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 18 at her home. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Daniel W. Troyer, Daniel M. Troyer, David P. Troyer and Ezra M. Troyer.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

Bertha Schreck
1911-2008
Bertha M. Schreck, 96, Rib Lake, died Friday, Feb. 15 at Golden Living Center in Rib Lake, where she had resided the past four years. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Interment was at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Medford. Pallbearers were Jason and Corey Faude, Larry Johnson, Kelly Kalmon, Kenneth Vesnefsky and Jack Motte.
Hemer Funeral Service of Medford assisted the family with arrangements.

Carol Pope
1934-2008
Carol L. Pope, 73, Plover, died Friday, Feb. 15 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. No services will be held. A family memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
Higgins Funeral Home of Wisconsin Rapids assisted the family with arrangements.

Joyce Johnson
1926-2008
Joyce Angeline Johnson, 81, Medford, died Saturday, Feb. 16 at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hope Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 23 at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a memorial service to follow.
