Donald A. Blashe
Donald A. Blashe, 71, of 1730 Gross Ave, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at his home. He was born January 10, 1929 in Angelica to the late Edward and Agnes (Krueger) Blashe. He graduated from Marion High School in 1947. On May 9, 1951, he married Arlene (Pat) Sousek at St. Mary Catholic Church in Leopolis. During the Korean War, Mr. Blashe served in Germany in the U.S. Army. After the war, he had been employed at Consolidated Badger for 18 years and later at Paper Converting, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish and was also a member of the Shawano American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Arlene “Pat” Blashe; four children and their spouses, Robert and Pamela Blashe, Manitowoc, Catherine and Michael Ault, Howard, Michael and Kathleen Blashe, Lake Villa, Ill., Connie and William Ricker, Town of Hobart; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Blashe and her fiance Jeff Malloy, Sarah and James Blashe, Valerie and Daniel Ault, Sean, Maureen and Patrick Blashe, Melissa, Matthew and Benjamin Ricker; one great-granddaughter, Bailey Rose; one brother and sister-in-law, Bert and Phyllis Blashe, Caroline, Wis,; one sister-in-law, Genevieve Loveland, Leopolis; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oryn Blashe and infant brother, William. Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. from 4-8 p.m. Friday. The Parish Wake Service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Friends may also call from 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
The Blashe family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Unity Hospice for the care that Donald received during his illness. A memorial fund has been established to benefit of St. Joseph Parish.

Ramona B. Etter
Ramona B. Etter, 81, Green Bay, died peacefully Wednesday evening, March 15, 2000. The daughter of the late Allan and Winifred (Coon) Buckalew was born February 23, 1919 in Chicago, Ill. and was raised in Troy, Ohio. The former Ramona Buckalew married Robert G. Etter August 18, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. He preceded her in death November 6, 1999. Ramona was a full-time homemaker, caring for all the daily needs of her growing family of four as well as being supportive to her husband in business. She was a member of Union Congregational Church-Green Bay and over the years was very active in church functions. Ramona was a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood and Beta Sigma Phi. She also had a zest for playing bridge and was involved in several bridge organizations. Ramona was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose true joy was her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Jr. and Toni Etter, De Pere, John and Ruth Etter, Allouez; two daughters and sons-in-law Cyndi and Brian Yunger, Cincinatti, Ohio, Winnie and Dale Hutjens, De Pere; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Gertrude Ehlers, Dallas, Texas; one brother-in-law, Franklin Puderbaugh, Trotwood, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one brother, Allan; one brother-in-law, Clarence Ehlers and two sisters-in-law, Vera Buckalew and Vivian Puderbaugh. Friends may call at Union Congregational Church, 716 South Madison Street, Green Bay, Saturday after 1 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial Service 3 p.m. Saturday at the church with Dr. Charles Mize and Reverend Kay Krejci officiating.
In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy memorials made out in Ramon’s name will be received at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave. De Pere Wis. 54115.

Robert A. Heise
Robert A. Heise, 77, of Oconto, died December 10, 2000 at the Oconto Memorial Hospital, Oconto. Robert was born April 13, 1923 in Wabeno to the late George and Margaret Behringer Heise. He married Viola Roland on December 15, 1945 in Oconto. For over forty five years Robert was a well known livestock dealer and trucker. He was one of the earlier haulers to use the over two ton truck for his trips to the sales barns throughout the Upper Peninsula and St. Paul. He then started his route of cattle and calves to various packing plants throughout the Green Bay area and later the Kuehne Livestock yard in Seymour. For years he supplied farmers with bulls on feed for the breeding of their dairy or beef herds. Around 1990 the livestock dealing was taken over by his son James. Robert was also an active farmer with dairy and beef cattle operations right up until 1998 when a losing battle with Alzheimer's forced him from the operations. He enjoyed his winter stays in Florida and also loved a good game of golf. Robert was a life long member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Oconto. Robert is survived by his wife Viola, Oconto; one daughter, Susan Steve Ozechowski, Oconto; four sons William Heise, Oconto; Michael Heise, Oconto; James Heise, Oconto; Scott Heise GHi E, China; one sister, Lois Valitchka, Green Bay; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers Carl, Lloyd and Walter Heise. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, Wednesday December 13, from 4 to 9 p.m., and again on Thursday December 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Bruce Blocker officiating.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Zion Lutheran Church, Oconto and for Alzheimer's research.

Frances Libassi
Frances Libassi, 84, Green Bay formerly Suring, died at home December 10, 2000. She was born August 2, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Emilo and Rosaria Ciavarrio Licata. Frances married Tony Libassi June 23, 1935. The couple lived in Breed until 1950 when Tony became employed in Milwaukee. The family returned to Anderson Lake in 1969. Frances was a past member of St. Michael's Catholic Church Chapel, Chute Pond, and currently held membership at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Green Bay. Survivors include her four daughters and their families: Deanna Arland Fritz, of Gillett; Mary Eugene Hoppe, of Oconto Falls; Rose Selber, of Livermore, CA; Angela Michael Lison, of Green Bay; her four sons and their families: Jack Libassi, of Post Falls, ID; Anthony Libassi, of Rio Rancho, NM; Vincent Libassi, of Lenoir, NC ; John Nicole Libassi, of Fairfax, VA; two sisters, Rose Campbell, of Pasadena, TX; Mary, of South Carolina; her brother, John Ann Licate, of New Jersey; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Tony on September 26, 1995, two brothers Tony and Angelo, also a sister Josey. Memorial services will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring in summer of 2001. Date to be announced later. Burial in Breed Union Cemetery.

Joseph J. Blatz, Jr.
Joseph J. Blatz, Jr., 51, Mountain, formerly South Milwaukee, died unexpectedly at his residence in Mountain December 6, 2000. He was born in Milwaukee April 22, 1949 to the late Joseph and Harriette Stebbens Blatz, Sr. Joe served his country with the Army in Vietnam. Currently he was employed with T & T Builders. He had owned Joe's Bait Shop at the Landing. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and trapping. Joe was a member of the Mountain V.F.W. Post and had served as a Past Post Commander. Survivors include his daughters, JoLynn Blatz and Diana Blatz; a brother, Jeff Jackie Blatz of Hubertus. three sisters, Suzie Mike Walczak of Milwaukee, Nancy Dennis Strouderman of Missouri, Carol Scott Campbell of Hubertus. Further survived by aunts. uncles, many nieces and nephews, and friends. A prayer service was held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Friday December 8, 2000 at 2 p.m. with Sister Karen Vollmer officiating. Visitation continued until 6 p.m. Burial in Mountain Cemetery.

Joseph James Puckiew
Joseph James Puckiew, 75, Suring South Branch died at the Appleton Medical Center December 7, 2000. He was born in South Branch to the late Mitchell and Mary Puckiew on June 25, 1925. He was married to Theresa Waupoose; she preceded him in death many years ago. Joe enjoyed fishing, and playing his harmonica. He was also an excellent singer. He was a member of St. Joseph's of the Lakes Catholic Church in South Branch. Survivors include his sister, Elizabeth Corn of South Branch; many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his brother George, and two sisters Julia and Eliza. Visitation was held at the Norman Corn Residence, Hwy AA, South Branch beginning on Friday December 8, 2000 at 4 p.m. Prayer vigil was Sunday 5 p.m. Funeral Service was Monday December 11, 2000 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in South Branch with Father David Barrett officiating. Burial in the Church Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring in charge of arrangments.

Bernice Ann Otto
Bernice Ann Otto, 79, of Townsend, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2000 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Bernice was born on June 19, 1921 in the Town of Freedom. She was the daughter of the late Everett and Frances Brouillard McDaniel. She had spent most of her life living in Northern Wisconsin. In October of 1938, Bernice married Herbert Tucker. Then on June 18, 1966, she married Eugene Otto. She loved to cook, bake, pick berries, and especially loved to care for her family. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Robert Schatz of Sullivan, MO; Donna Mike Poling of Wabeno, WI; Karen Mikey Tucker of Wabeno, WI; two sons, Ray Dorothy Tucker of San Diego, CA; Doug Linda Tucker of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Audrey Harris of Blackwell, WI; Ruth Bud Splitgerber of Green Bay; three brothers, Jim McDaniel of Milwaukee, WI; Everett Arlene McDaniel of Thiensville, WI; Lester McDaniel of Cedarburg, WI. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, and one sister, Luella. Visitation was on Sunday, December 10, at Suminski Funeral Home in Wabeno. The funeral service was held on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Stanley Browne officiating. Interment was at Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend, WI.

Roy J. Roffers
Roy J. Roffers, 85, Neenah and formerly of Menomonee Falls, died Thursday, December 7, 2000 in Neenah. He was born May 12, 1915 in Little River, WI, son of Michael and Mary Artz Roffers. Roy married Katherine Pillsbury June 11, 1938 in Oconto, WI. He was employed at A.O. Smith Company, Milwaukee for 34 years before his retirement in 1975 as a supervisor. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Menomonee Falls. Roy is survived by his wife, Katherine; his daughter, Judith Zaretzke, Neenah; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Florence Al Johnson, Shawano. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 11, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 666 Division St., Neenah. Interment in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Menomonee Falls. Visitation was at Kessler Funeral Home, Neenah.
