Anita Amidei
Anita Amidei, age 96 of Waukesha formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida died Wednesday November 14, 2001 at the Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha.

Anita was born March 14, 1905 in Florence, Italy a daughter of the late Angelo and Amabile (nee Sonti) Ugolini. She is a member of St. William’s Catholic Church in Waukesha and was a member of the Christian Mother’s of St. Williams Catholic Church. She is also a member of St. Mary’s Club in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Guido Amidei in 1976.

Anita is survived by her son: Roger (Dorothy) Amidei of Boca Rotan, Florida, Three (3) Grandchildren: James (Kathy) Amidei of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, David (Cindy) Amidei of Lincolnshire, Illinois, and Susan (Mike) Pestrack of Des Plains, Illinois, along with 8 grandchildren.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Anita will be Friday November 16, 2001 at St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha. (440 N. Moreland Blvd.) Father Leonard Barbian will be the Celebrant at the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Friends may call on Friday November 16, 2001 at St. William Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:30. Masses to St. William’s Catholic Church will be appreciated.

Ariana Lynn Myke
Ariana Lynn Myke, of Lake City, Florida, died Wednesday October 31, 2001 at the age of eight months. Ariana was born February 27, 2001 in Orlando, Florida a daughter of Jack Myke and Michelle Hogeland.

She will be sadly missed by her parents, her maternal grandparents: Harold and Arlene Kelsey of Waukesha, Wisconsin and her paternal grandparents: Jack and Audrey Myke of Canada. She is also survived by her Aunts and Uncles: Yvonne Brock of Madison, Wisconsin, Susan (Brian) Carlson of London, Ontario, Canada, and Adam Kelsey of Waukesha along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service for Ariana will be Saturday November 3, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha (1415 Dopp Street). The Rev. Jim Bickel will be the officiant. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Wales, Wisconsin. Friends may call on Saturday November 3, 2001 at Ascension Lutheran Church from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. Alma L. Welch
Alma L. Welch, age 83 of Waukesha, died Sunday, February 17, 2002 at Care-Age Health Care Center in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Alma was born July 20, 1918 in Arcadia, Michigan, a daughter of the late George and Margaret (nee Law) Tennant. Alma married Raymond F. Welch and they lived in Bear Lake and Traverse City, Michigan for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Raymond F. Welch died May 6, 1996), along with 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Alma is survived by her two children: Sonja (Ray) Terry of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Bernard (Linda) Welch of Traverse City, Michigan; three grandchildren: Paul Terry and Lisa Terry, both of Waukesha, and Shannon Gauthier of Traverse City, Michigan; and three great-grandsons, along with other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service for Alma will be at 7:00 pm Friday, March 1, 2002 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City, Michigan. Memorials in Alma’s name may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society – Wisconsin Chapter (W223 N608 Saratoga Drive, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53186). The Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home is serving the family.

Clara Pauline Waschow
Clara Pauline Waschow, of Waukesha, died on Saturday, June 30, 2001, at the Hartford Care Center in Hartford at the age of 81 years.

She was born on November 7, 1919, the daughter of John and Sadie (Garbarski) Soehnlein. Clara was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Christian Mothers. She owned Ding's Beer Depot in Waukesha for over 25 years.

Clara will be sadly missed by her children: Beth of Oak Creek; Gary of Eugene, Oregon; Mary of Oshkosh; and William (Vicki) of Jackson; her sister, Bea (Elvin) Schuetz of Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren: Julia, Ryan, Jessica and Daniel; other relatives and friends. Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1964.

The Funeral Service for Clara will be held on Monday, July 2, 2001, at 7 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Fr. Michael Michaelski will be officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home is serving the family. Marie M. Donahue
Marie M. Donahue (nee Kastenholz), was born July 19, 1915 and found peace at home in North Prairie, WI, April 5, 2002 at age 86 years.

Beloved wife of Donald for 52 years. Loving and caring mother of David and Patrick (Mary). Sister of George (Marjoria) Kastenholz. Sister-in-law of Cletus (Betty) Rivard. Proud grandmother of Kimberly and Richard Warner. Survived and loved by many wonderful nieces and nephews, dear cousins, and lifelong friends. Caring friend of Alex Belissary. Preceded in death by sisters Joyce (Cletus) Rivard, Eleanor (the late Roland) Marks, and sister-in-law, Norma (the late Fred) Haueser. Graduated Waukesha High School. Married June 17, 1950, St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Waukesha. Prior to 1950 Marie worked at Waukesha Motor Company. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Genesee Depot, the Christian Women's Society, and a quilter member.

Visitation for Marie will be held on Tuesday, April 9, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Hwys. 83 & D, Genesee Depot, WI. The funeral mass will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, with a reception to follow. Burial will be Wednesday, April 10 at St. Paul's Cemetery.

Marie's family would like to extend sincere thanks to all of the caring and compassionate staff of Rolland Nelson-Crossroads Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Building Fund of St. Paul's Catholic Church appreciated.

Avon J. Mackay
Longtime Waukesha resident, Avon J. Mackay, died on October 16, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 68 years. She was born on September 10, 1933 in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, the daughter of John & Alta (nee Root) La Rue.

Avon was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha. She was a very talented seamstress, specializing in children's clothes. In 1999 she took 11 outfits of children's clothes to Wisconsin State Fair and won 11 Blue Ribbons.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 51 years William of Waukesha. She is the dear mother of Jeanne (William) Prue of Newport, Vermont, Kerry (Terry) Mackay of New Berlin, WI., Kathy (Bill) Rankin of Waukesha, Christopher (Christine) Mackay of Bayfield, WI., Jeffrey (Megan) Mackay of Lake Zurich, IL., Timothy (Kate) Mackay of West Allis, WI. & Steven (Toni) Mackay of Waukesha. She will be missed by her twenty grandchildren: William (Debbie) of Newport, Vermont, Jonathon (Angie) of Osan AFB in South Korea, Joshua, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Gretchen, Matthew, Melissa, Kimberly, Shawn, Linda, Crystal, Daniel, Diana, Patrick, Joseph, Jacob, Sarah, Nicole and Lillian. She is the dear grandmother of 6 great grandchildren: William, Taylor, Chandler, Emma, Jennifer & Amanda. She is also survived by her sister Vera Paulin of Medford, WI and her brother Lawrence La Rue of Albuquerque, New Mexico as well as many friends.

Avon's family would like to thank Dr. Michelle Agnew and her staff and Dr. Amad Katib and his staff as well as the nursing staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for the kindness shown to Avon and her family at this time.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 20, 2001 at 3 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Fr. Aurelio Perez will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service. Private entombment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials would be appreciated to either the Children's Cancer Fund at Children's Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.

Alice F. Maddison
Alice F. Maddison, age 73 of Waukesha died Saturday October 6, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Alice was born May 7, 1928 in Granville, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Emil and Bertha (nee Brehmer) Hackbarth.

She graduated from Custer High School in 1947. On June 2, 1951 she married Joseph Maddison. She is a member of First United Methodist Church in Waukesha. Alice devoted her life to her family as their mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph in 1972, and her 4 brothers: Ed, Emroy, Milton, and Harry.

She is survived by her three children: Larry (Dawn) Maddison, Janet (Steve) Frantz, and Jeff (Carol) Maddison, all of Waukesha, her 6 grandchildren: Paul, Elizabeth, Laura, Becky, Eric and Sara, along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Alice will be Tuesday October 9, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home in Waukesha. The Rev. Kelly Fowler of First United Methodist Church will be the officiant. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 P.M.

Alvin A. Wagner, Jr.
Alvin A. Wagner, Jr., lifelong resident of Waukesha died Wednesday October 31, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 67.

Alvin was born September 15, 1934 in Waukesha, a son of the late Alvin George and Anna (nee Roberts) Wagner. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from June 1955 to June 1963. He retired from WTC Machinery Corporation in Oconomowoc, WI in October 1999. He was preceded in death by his parents and his one brother: Gerald.

Alvin is survived by his four sisters: Louise Wagner of Waukesha, WI; Marianne (Bill) Stark of Palmyra, WI; Genevieve (Richard) Collins of Waukesha, WI; and Rosemary Lambert of Waukesha, WI, along with 9 nieces and nephews: Melvin, Patricia, Teresa, William Jr., Gregory, Jean, Michelle, James, and Melissa. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Blackie, along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Alvin will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 3, 2001 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home (237 N. Moreland Blvd.) in Waukesha. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Amelia Walters
Longtime Waukesha resident, Amelia Walters, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 29, 1913, the daughter of Gottfried & Katherine (nee Winter) Bauer.

Amelia was retired from the Waukesha Rubber Company. She is the dear mother of Barbara (Le Roy) Frohmader of Jefferson, WI, Richard Walters and Garald Walters, both of Waukesha and Edward (Kathy) Walters of Palmyra, WI. She is the sister of Marie Semon of Milwaukee. She will be sadly missed by her nine grandchildren: David (Donika) Frohmader, Lori Frohmader, Keith Walters, Dawn (Marty) Fix, Janet (Jim) Horrell, Cynthia Bockman, Lisa (Steve) Schmitt, Jeff (Beth) Walters and Mark Walters. Also surviving are 11 great grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Lorainne Bauer and other relatives and friends. Amelia was preceded in death by her husband George Walters, her brothers: Fred, Alex and Carl, and her daughter-in-law Betty Walters.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 4, 2002 at 12 noon at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. The Rev. Dr. E. Wayne Adcock will officiate. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of services. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery.

Bonnie L. Matern
Bonnie L. Matern (nee Ries), lifelong resident of Waukesha, born on October 11, 1942 in Waukesha, the daughter of Lester and Pearl (nee Farber) Ries, died on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 59 years.

She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. She graduated from Waukesha South High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Daniel.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Michael “Mick” Matern of Waukesha, her daughter, Christina “Christy” (Scott) Bond of Wauwatosa, her brother, Rick (Donna) Ries of Waukesha, her sister, Jane (Ron) Tweed of Dousman, sister-in-law, Elaine (Bernie) Rupp of Waukesha, and mother-in-law, Irene Matern of Appleton, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Bonnie will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Pastor Rod Resheske will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home is serving the family.
