Christina (Chris) Marie Andrews
Christina (Chris) Marie Andrews, of Mukwonago, died on Monday, Nov. 26, 2001 at home at the age of 46 years.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1955 in Waukegan, Illinois the daughter of Le Roy and Gladys (Churchill) Barnes. She married Jim Andrews on Nov. 22, 2001 in Waukegan, Illinois. Chris was a very active member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Chris was also a manager at Heaven City in Mukwonago and a receptionist at Cornerstone Counseling in Waukesha.

Chris will be sadly missed by her husband: Jim her children: Lisa (Brent) Summerfield of Decatur, IL Lindsay, Carolyn and James all at home her mother: Gladys Barnes of Waukesha her sisters: Leona LeMay of Fort Collins, CO and Elaine (Ed) Fiske of Des Arc, MO her brothers: Le Roy Barnes of Sanford, Maine and William "Bill" (Kathy) Barnes of Zion, IL Chris is preceded in death by her father: Le Roy and her son: James W. IV.

The Memorial Service for Chris will be Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church 1415 Dopp Street Waukesha. Rev. Frank Janzow and Rev. James Bickel will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated in Chris' name to Ascension Lutheran Church. The family of Chris would like to extend their appreciation to everyone who helped during her illness.

Clifford (Cliff) Ivan Nutting
Clifford (Cliff) Ivan Nutting, of Waukesha, died on Sat. Oct. 6, 2001 at Menomonee Falls Health Care Center at the age of 81.

He worked for Lehmann Plumbing and Gene Wagner Plumbing. Cliff proudly served in WWII and was a lifetime member of the Waukesha VFW and was a member of the Plumbers Local #75. He is preceded by his wife, Jacqueline. Cliff will be sadly missed by his daughters: Susan (Paul) Andrews of Big Bend and Cynthia (Michael) Mueller of Lannon.

The Soat-Vergenz Post #721 – VFW Funeral Service for Cliff will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at 7:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. The burial for Cliff will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at 10:00 am at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha (please meet in front of the cemetery office).

The family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Daniel Halloran and the Menomonee Falls Health Care Center, the Waukesha City Paramedics Station 3 and EMT’s, the ER and Emergency Medical Associates, ICU, IMC, 5SW at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Dr. Richard Leech and staff and especially Dr. William Lutz and staff for taking excellent care of both Cliff and his late wife Jacqueline. Memorials may be directed to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Carmela Marie (Carm) Swenson
Carmela Marie (Carm) Swenson, of Mukwonago, born on March 16, 1947 in Waukesha, the daughter of Anthony and Mamie (nee Samarco) Spadanuda, died on Monday, March 04, 2002 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 54 years.

She was a pharmaceutical technician for K-Mart for the past 10 years. She was preceded in death by her father.

She will be missed by her husband, Terrance "Terry" whom she married in June of 1971, her children; Michelle (Steven) Colbert of Rockford, IL and Nicole Swenson of Brookfield, her mother, Mamie Spadanuda of Waukesha, her brother, Anthony (Diane) Spadanuda of New Berlin, her sister, Madalene (Milton) Morris of Helensville, WI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Carm will be Friday, March 8, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Memorials are appreciated to the Waukesha Memorial Hospital - Oncology Unit or charity of donor's choice.

David (Dave) B. Leach
David (Dave) B. Leach, of Waukesha. Born on August 26, 1945 in Vandalia, Ill, the son of Benjamin and Mary Leach, died on Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 56 years.

He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Dave was a salesman for over 30 years, most recently he was with JII Sales Promotions.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Doris, whom he married on June 26, 1971 in Waukesha, WI, his children; Pamela (Christopher) Conroy of Middleton, NY, Katherine (Eric) Washkuhn of Waukesha and Melissa (Rick) Meeks of Waukesha, his brother, James (Barbara) Leach of Rosco, Ill, his grandchildren; Allison, Bryce, Colin Conroy and Kayte Lynn Meeks, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Dave will be Saturday, November 17, 2001 at 1:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Rev. Peter A. Schmidt will officiate. Graveside services will be Monday, November 19, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Wilwood Cemetery in Rockford, IL. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Darrell H. Moede
Darrell H. Moede, of North Prairie, born on September 26, 1935 in Hustisford, WI, the son of Richard and Lydia (nee Krause) Moede, died on Monday, July 23, 2001 at the age of 65 years.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Joyce, his children; Ricky Moede of East Troy and Lisa (Ken) Wagner of Delafield, his brother, Roland Moede of Madison, his sisters; Karen (Steve) Herzog of Texas, Dorothy Moede of Milwaukee and Jean Weidensee of New Berlin, his grandchildren; Kayla, James and Barret, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Darrell will be Friday, July 27, 2001 at 7:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, Waukesha, WI. Chaplain Russell Hurst will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 pm until time of service.

David R. Reed

Of Waukesha died on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 49 years. David was born in Grosse Pointe, MI on May 22, 1954, the son of Raymond Reed and Janet Wies. He had a passion for motorcycles, Harley Davidson in particular.

David will be sadly missed by his wife Tammy (nee Stacey) Reed of Waukesha, who he married on June 22, 1996, his son Anthony Michael Reed, his step-daughter Monique Siehr, his mother Janet Wies, his step-father Stanley Ciesielski, his brother Richard Reed and his sister Cynthia Reed. David was preceded in death by his father Raymond.

Internment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Marshall, Michigan.

Daniel Tsubasa Hayashi Reed
Daniel Tsubasa Hayashi Reed passed away due to complications of congenital heart disease on Friday July 13, 2001 at Sanai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Daniel is survived by his loving parents: Kevin and Yumiko (nee Hayashi) Reed of Waukesha, Wisconsin, his two sisters: Maiko and Sakurako Reed, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, his maternal grandmother: Miwako Hayashi of Nagasaki, Japan, Paternal Grandparents: Gary and Martha Reed of Elnora, Indiana , and his Paternal Great Grandmother: Marjorie Reed of Elnora, Indiana . Daniel is also survived by his four Aunts: Yuriko (Jiro) Toyama of Tokyo, Japan, Risa (Masashi) Yanase of Tokyo, Japan, Lisa (Wendell) Wise of Elnora, Indiana , Sherry (Michael) Meyers of Columbus, Indiana , and his two Uncles: Alan and Brandon Reed of Elnora, Indiana .

There will be private family services for Daniel. In lieu of flowers or other donations, the family requests that everyone spend a few hours with the children who are in your life. In as much that love cannot spoil, lavish it on them that they shall not know its want.

Daniel 6:22 - "My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lion's mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me."

Ethel E. Land
Ethel E. Land of Waukesha, born on February 6, 1918 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Emil and Amanda Last, died on Sunday, May 6, 2001 at Franciscan Woods Health Care Center.

She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, The Waukesha Golden Agers, Waukesha Women's Club and past honored queen of Job's Daughters. She graduated from Bayview High School in Milwaukee in 1936. From 1952 -1960 she and her husband Robert owned the Sedalia Bowling Lanes in Sedalia, Missouri. She worked for 25 years at the Waukesha County Home and Hospital in the patient accounts area and worked for the V.A. in Milwaukee during the war. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert W. Land.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Richard R. Land (Julie B. George M.D.) of Houston, Texas, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Ethel will be on Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at 7:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Pastor Theodore Romberg will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until time of service. Interment will be in the Valhalla Cemetery on Thursday, May 10, 2001 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or Franciscan Woods would be appreciated.

Elizabeth (Betty) H. McHalsky
Elizabeth (Betty) H. McHalsky, lifelong Waukesha resident, died on Sunday, August 12, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 81 years. She was born on March 3, 1920 in Waukesha, the daughter of Martin & Ludmilla (nee Kobak) Horwith.

Betty is the beloved mother of Paul J. McHalsky of Waukesha & Patricia A. McHalsky of Pewaukee. She is the dear sister of Margaret Horwith Schipp and Lorraine Horwith, both of Waukesha. She is the sister-in-law of Martin & Josephine McHalsky and Richard & Margaret McHalsky and Donald Petry. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. McHalsky on April 7, 1984 and her son Michael L. McHalsky on May 7, 1994.

Betty was a member of St. Joseph & St. William Catholic Churches. She attended St. Joseph's Grade School and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1937. She was a member of the Waukesha High Schoool Alumni Committee. After High School, Betty worked as a secretary for an insurance agency. On July 29, 1944, she married Frank A. McHalsky and they started their family. After she married, she worked at Carey's Food Store in Waukesha. In the late l950's and early l960's, Betty started the 217 Secretarial Service in the 217 building on Wisconsin Avenue.

In l962 she worked at Manierre Corporation which became Aquamarine Corporation. She worked there until retirement. Betty's enjoyment was her family, but she also enjoyed hobbies like baking, furniture upholstering and cake decorating. She also enjoyed her card club and her member friends which included Mary Jane Schipp, Mickey Casey, Virginia "Ginny" Mielke, Margaret Schipp, Lorraine Beaster and Margaret Coffey. Two of the members, Patricia Eimer and Eileen Tompitch, preceded her in death.

A prayer service for Betty will begin on Thursday, August 16, 2001 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. and then we will proceed to St. William Catholic Church for a l0:30 a.m. Mass. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 a..m. until 10:15. A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. William's Catholic Church or the American Heart Association. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. For further information, please call Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home at 542-6609.

Esther H. Orton
Esther H. Orton of Waukesha died on Monday, June 18, 2001 at the Waters of Westmoreland Health Care Center at the age of 92 years.

Esther is survived by her sisters: Ada of California, Ruth of New Berlin, and Leanore of Beloit.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Louise Jane Buchholz and her son Harold.

A graveside service for Esther will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater, Wisconsin Thursday, June 21, 2001 at 12:30 PM. Reverend Howard Kusler will officiate.
