Victor W. Weber
Victor W. Weber, age 73 of Waukesha, died Monday August 27, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Victor was born June 15, 1928 in Greenwood, Wisconsin a son of the late Louis and Anna (nee Wauseca) Weber. He had worked at Inter-Office Products in Hartland before his retirement. He had also driven truck for Gateway and Northern Trucking firms. He was a member of the Teamsters. He served in the U. S. Navy on the U.S.S. Consolation and the U.S.S. Nespelen from April 1942 until April 1952. On May 16, 1953 he married Lorraine Becker at St. Gall's Catholic Church.. Victor loved to garden go fishing and hunting and also liked golf. He liked people and was one to sit and chat. Victor was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers and sisters: Carl, Leona, Cecelia and Adaline.

Victor is survived by his wife: Lorraine Weber of Waukesha, his three children: Gary (Heidi) Weber of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Randy (Julie Thomas) Weber of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Victoria (Michael) Nettesheim of Williams Bay, Wisconsin, his seven grandchildren: Nathan, Stephanie and Mary Weber, and Moriah and Vanessa Nettesheim, and Jason, and Jesse Thomas He also is survived by one great grandchild: Hailey Thomas, his two brothers: Bernie (Thelma) Weber of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and John (Irene) Weber of Rio Linda, California along with a sister: Mildred Herrick of Greenwood, Wisconsin, three Sister-In-Laws: Dolores Szalewski of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, Elizabeth "Betty" Becker of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Ruth Weber of Spencer, Wisconsin. Victor will also be missed by his special friends: Dennis, Carol and Tim Martins of Hartland and his golfing buddy: Gilbert (Betty) Kussman of Ogdenberg, Wisconsin along with other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be Sunday September 2, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. Father Mark Payne of St. William's Catholic Church will be the officiant. Entombment will be at Wisconsin Memorial in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday September 2, 2001. In lieu of flowers memorials in Victor's name should be directed to the family.

Art Hasler
Art Hasler of Wausaukee, Wisconsin died after a short illness on Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at the Care-Age Nursing Home in Brookfield at the age of 81 years.

He was born on May 13, 1920 in Wausaukee, the son of Charles and Katherine Hasler. Art was one of nine boys: Charles, Owen, Ray, Frank, Lawrence, Bill, Russell & Alvin.The folks settled and farmed on Nejedlo Road after coming to Wausaukee from Arcola, Illinois. They worked hard clearing land and raising their large family. As the boys became adults, they each went their own way in life, but Art stayed and took over the home place in 1948. Later upon retiring he put a trailer house on a corner of the property and sold the farm.

In 1973 he married Evelyn Nelson, a widow that brought eight children: Bonnie, Lyle, Russell, Julie, Jerry, Edna, Barbara & Billy into the marriage which grew to 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn, and all of the above step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his brother Lawrence (Bernice) Hasler of West Allis, he is also survived by a sister-in-law Sophie Hasler of West Allis. Many dear nieces and nephews going into a third generation that all thought the world of Uncle Art and always showed it to him. We have lost an angel that went home for his final rest.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 23, 2002 at 3 p.m at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Fr. Michael Michalski will officiate. Friends may call at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. A second funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2002, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Wausaukee, WI. Fr. John Dorner will celebrate Mass. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Wausaukee.

Andy Hunkins
Lifelong Waukesha resident Andy Hunkins died on Monday, May 6, 2002 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 79 years. He was born on March 20, 1923 in Waukesha, the son of Grover and Agnes (nee Ross) Hunkins.

Andy was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Waukesha. He retired from Hein-Werner Corporation after 38 years of employment in their service department. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, having served for 22 months in the South Pacific during WWII.

He will be sadly missed by his significant other Addeline "Addie" Nelson. Andy is the dear brother of Lily (William) Orth of Waukesha and the uncle of William "Bill" (Victoria Davel) Orth of Portage, Jim (Elizabeth) Orth of Elkhorn and Betty (Brian Spicer) Orth of Portage. He is also survived by his extended family: Robert (Joan) Nelson of Tomahawk, Andrea (Ray) Holloway of East Troy, Cheryl (Harvey) Kellogg of Mukwonago and Julie (Robert Steinbring) Wendorf of Eagle and Addie's 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Further survived by his special friend: Dorothy Plehn of Waukesha. Also surviving are nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Andy is preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers.

The funeral service for Andy will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Rev. Rod Resheske will officiate. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Luke's Lutheran Church or the Salvation Army or the charity of the donor's choice.

Anna Laun
Anna Laun, of Waukesha, born on May 23, 1908 in Racine, WI, the daughter of Anthony and Barbara (nee Kysel) Nauratil, died on Thursday, February 21, 2002 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 93 years.

She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton.

She will be sadly missed by: Margaret (Jerome) Kienast of Waukesha and Franklin (Rose) Laun of Wausaukee, WI, Gladys (Le Roy Sr.) Mueller of Mequon, 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Anna will be Monday, February 25, 2002 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Calvary Church, 1941 Madison Street. Pastor Michael Turriff will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Memorials to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church would be appreciated. Burial will follow the service at Pinelawn Cemetery in Milwaukee. For further information, please call the Cesarz, Charpata & Zinnecker funeral Home at 542-6609.

Audrey C. Peterman
Audrey C. Peterman, of Waukesha, born February 25, 1936 in New York, the daughter of Finn and Esther Olsson, died on Saturday, March 02, 2002 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 66 years.

She was a graduate of Central High School in Superior, WI and a past member of the K.C. Lady's Auxillary. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley Cobb.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Thomas, whom she married on May 16, 1959, her children; Gerald Peterman of Pewaukee and Theresa Peterman of Waukesha, her sister, Alice (Al) Russell of Colorado, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Audrey will be Wednesday, March 6, 2002 at 7:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charpata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until time of service. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Superior, WI.

Andrew E. (Andy) Smith
Andrew E. (Andy) Smith (Kouchich) of Waukesha, born on September 27, 1902, passed away on Tuesday, November 06, 2001 at the Heartland Health Care Center at the age of 99 years.

Andy proudly served in the U.S. Army in WWII. He was preceded in death by: Millie Osgood, Marion Hell and son, Le Roy Smith.

Andy will be sadly missed by; Sherry (Dave) Friske and family, Lynn Walker and family, Don (Jeanne) Osgood and family, Roger (Joyce) Osgood and family, Bob Hell, Elaine Yost and family, Linda (Steve) Stevens, Sandy (Matthew and Jennifer) Mc Payne, Andrew Smith, Fran Oblack, Victor Kouchich, Anne (Chet) Vlezelski and Josephine Kruegar other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Sherry, Debi, Jeanne and Lynn.

The funeral service for Andy will be Friday, November 9, 2001 at 12:00 noon at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Carl F. Schwarting
Carl F. Schwarting, age 86 of Waukesha, died Tuesday March 5, 2002 at the Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha.

Carl was born February 5, 1916 in West Bend, Wisconsin a son of the late William and Frieda (nee Sanzenbacher) Schwarting. On September 23, 1947 he married Sadie Baumgartner in Waukesha. He was one of the best known painters's in Waukesha. He was proud of his work and the family's he served. He started painting and wallpapering with his father and continued painting up to last year. He also was involved at the CCC camp at Ghost Lake, Wisconsin. He served his country proudly during World War II in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sadie, his sister Helen Schwarting Betenz, and his step son: Herbert "Bud" Casper.

Carl will be sadly missed by his brother: Gilbert (Dorothy Potts) Schwarting of New Berlin, Wisconsin, his granddaughter: Mary (Tom) Fletcher of Wales, Wisconsin, his greatgrandson: Mark Fletcher of Wales, Wisconsin, nieces and nephews: Beverly Kay of Mequon, Wisconsin, Kathy Betenz of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Carol (Richard) Valley of Columbus, Wisconsin, Nancy Betenz of Hartland, Wisconsin, a grand nephew: Brian Valley of Columbus, Wisconsin, a brother-in-law: William Betenz of Waukesha, Wisconsin, along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral for Carl will be held Thursday March 7, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Friends may call at the funeral home on Moreland Blvd. on Thursday March 5, 2002 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials in Carl's name may be directed to the Salvation Army (445 Madison Street Waukesha, WI. 53188) or the charity of the donor's choice.

Daniel C. Hill
Daniel C. Hill, age 60 of Waukesha, died Wednes. Oct. 10, 2001 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Daniel was born Oct. 31, 1940 in Milwaukee, a son of the late Clarence Hill and Eleanor Franz. He was a member of the Sussex Volunteer Fire Dept. and is a member of Christ the Life Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Daniel was a supervisor at Harley-Davidson and then went to Dueco-Dalum’s Utility Equipment Co. Inc. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1959 to 1963. On July 30, 1988 he married Joanne Dunn in Waukesha. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joyce Champeau and a brother Alan Hill.

Daniel will be sadly missed by his wife: Joanne, his children: Karen (Sam) Josephson, Lt. Timothy (Myrna) Hill –U.S.Navy, Donald J. Bethke, Stepchildren: Jeanine (Gerard) Lee, Janice (James) Stewart, Jack (Zenaida) Dunn, Janelle (Gary) Holehouse, and Jillane (Michael) Mooney. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, his sister: Nancy (Ken) Bales, a niece, a nephew, other relatives and many friends.

The funeral Service for Daniel will be Monday October 15, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Peter Schmidt will be the officiant. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Wales, WI immediately following the service. Friends may call on Sunday October 14, 2001 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Regional Cancer Center at Waukesha Memorial Hospital.

Dolly Hunter
Longtime Waukesha resident, Dolly Hunter, died at the Virginia Health Care Center on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at the age of 86 years. She was born on April 25, 1916 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of John & Leone (nee Geiger) Schweigert.

Dolly graduated from Wauwatosa High School. On November 30, 1939 she married Raymond Hunter who preceded her in death on May 30, 2001. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the American Furniture Store before she married Raymond. Dolly was a loving wife, grandmother and great grandmother. Dolly was a member of the Waukesha Women's Club for over 50 years and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha for over 50 years. She served on church Session, was a member of Mariners and Sunday morning study group. Dolly was an avid bridge player. She also wrote a book of her childhood reminiscenses for her grandchildren. She was a faithful letter writer to her family and friends.

Dolly is the dear mother of John (Patricia) Hunter of El Paso, TX and Meredythe Bender of Portage, WI. She is the loving grandmother of Carol (David) Bender Riese of Raleigh, NC , Matthew (Charissa) Bender of Wisconsin Rapids, WI., Ty (Meghan) Bender of Milwaukee, Willard Bender of DePere, WI., Raymond Bender of DePere, WI., Alisa Hunter of Dallas, TX and Zoe Hunter of Boulder, CO. She will be sadly missed by her great grandchildren Joshua McConochie, Michael Bender, Alex Bender and Moira Bender. She is the dear sister of Bernice Stibor of Milwaukee and is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Dolly will be Monday, May 6, at 12 noon at the First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha. Pastor David Ellis will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Waukesha. Memorials would be appreciated to either the First Presbyterian Church in Waukesha or the Presbyterian Home Foundation Fund at 222 Park Place in Waukesha.

Dale J. (Slim) Siverling
Dale J. (Slim) Siverling, age 66 of Waukesha, died Thursday February 21, 2002 at his home surrounded by his family.

Dale was born November 24, 1935 a son of Herman and Florence (nee Joyal) Siverling. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1954. On February 4, 1956, he married his high school sweetheart Gail Kurtz. Slim cherished his time up north at the cabin enjoying nature, golfing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Slim will be sadly missed by his wife: Gail of Waukesha, his three children: Julie (Carl) Huttner of Waukesha, Cheryl Marien of Pewaukee, and Barbara Deinzer of Farmington, New Mexico, along with 10 grandchildren: Christopher Siverling, Camilla Deinzer, Courtney Deinzer, Michelle Emery, Linda Huttner, Carla Huttner, Matthew Emery, Joey Huttner, Justin Marien and Kayla Marien. He is also survived by his father: Herman Siverling of Waukesha, his brother: David (Madeline) Siverling of Milwaukee and his sister: Janice Gennrich of Sister Bay along with other relatives and friends. Slim is preceded in death by his mother, Florence.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Dale will be Monday, February 25, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (822 N. East Avenue). Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of mass at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday (meet at the gravesite). In lieu of flowers: memorials may be directed to Slim's favorite charity St. Joseph's Medical and Dental Clinic (826 N East Avenue Waukesha, WI. 53186) or to the charity of the donor's choice.

The Siverling family would like to thank Dr. Jones, Dr. Burkert for knowing when to do the right thing, the nurses in medical oncology, and to all those who remembered the family in their prayers this past year.
