Gerald J. (Jerry) Kelly
Gerald J. (Jerry) Kelly, of North Prairie, WI, died at his North Prairie home on Sunday, July 15, 2001 at the age of 57 years. He was born in Milwaukee on January 21, 1944, the son of Raymond & Florence (nee Doege) Kelly.

Jerry was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Genesee Depot. He was a former Scoutmaster for Pack 91 for many years. He was the food service manager at St. Aemillian-Lakeside in Milwaukee and more recently the food service manager at Nature's Table at Brookfield Square.

Jerry is the beloved husband of Catherine (nee Wenta) Kelly. He is the dear father of Cory (Julie) Kelly of Hustisford, WI., Gary (fiancée' Dena) Kelly of River Falls, WI., Shawn (Heidi) Kelly of Waukesha, and Sherlynn (fiancée' Brett Seese) of Hales Corners, WI. He is the proud grandfather of Brandon, Jacob, Tyler, Aaron, Nicholas & Christina. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law: Barbara Hartmann of Ixonia, Elizabeth (Bruce) Bauer of Coloma, MI., and Rose (Joe) Kmet of New Berlin, WI., as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Raymond & Florence Kelly and his sister Marilyn McGrath.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 20, 2001 at l0 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Genesee Depot (Hwys D & 83). Fr. Michael Krecji will celebrate Mass. Friends may call on Thursday, July 19, 2001 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha and on Friday at church from 9 to l0 a.m. Entombment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to either the Boy Scouts of America or the American Cancer Society. Glyndwr Thomas (Glyn) Mainwaring
Glyndwr Thomas " Glyn" Mainwaring, age 81 of Waukesha, died Sunday May 20, 2001 at his home.

Glyn was born June 16, 1919 in Cleveland Ohio a son of the late John Lloyd and Gladys Marie (Nee Drumm) Mainwaring. He graduated in 1943 from Ohio State University with a degree in veterinary science. He had a private practice for 6 years before joining the United States Department of Agriculture in 1952. On March 13, 1943 he married Elinor Harris in Cleveland Ohio. Glyn also served in the Army Air Corps. He loved bird watching and traveling with Elinor around the world.

Glyn was preceded in death by his parents and his brother: John Paul Mainwaring. Glyn is survived by his loving wife: Elinor Mainwaring of Waukesha, his three children: Glyndwr Thomas "Tom" (Karen) Mainwaring, Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, Donald Lloyd (Un Sun) Mainwaring of Mountclair, Virginia, and Jane (Bruce) Becker of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Glyndwr Thomas "Tom" (Pui) Mainwaring III of Sacramento, California, Carl Mainwaring of Woodbridge, Virginia David Mainwaring of Woodbridge, Virginia, Sharon (Sean) Dillon of San Diego, California, Brian (Kimberly) Becker of Leland Mississippi, and Amy Becker of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by his three great-grandchildren: Tyler Thomas Mainwaring, Brent Thomas Mainwaring, and Grant Thomas Mainwaring all of Sacramento, California. Glyn is also survived by a sister: Mary (Tom) Harlan of Parma Heights, Ohio, along with other relatives and friends.

There will be no visitation nor service for Glyn as per his wishes. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials in Glyn's name may be directed to the Rolland D. Nelson / Crossroads Home Hospice, 1020 James Drive, Suite E, Hartland, WI 53029.

Gordon E. Palmer
Gordon E. Palmer, of Waukesha, born on January 13, 1922 in North Prairie, the son of Kenneth and Grace (nee Schaefer) Palmer, died on Monday, July 23, 2001 at the Woodland Health Care Center at the age of 79 years.

He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his granddaughter, Nico Ann, his brothers; James, Roger and Eugene and his sisters; Armine, Beatrice and Josephine.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Eleanore (nee Riley), whom he married on June 1, 1946, his son, Roger (Andrea) Palmer of Waukesha, his daughter, Rosemary (Bob Wojczak) Palmer of Muskego, his brothers; Russell (Alice) Schaefer of Waukesha, Gilbert (Lorraine) Palmer of Hartland, Lester Palmer of Waukesha and Donald (Joyce) Palmer of Waukesha, his sister, Carol Schaefer of Waukesha, his grandchildren, Mari (Colin) Foster of Birmingham, England and Jason of Waukesha, his 2 step grandchildren, Ryan and Chris Wojczak o f Muskego, his brother-in-law, Verlyn (June) Riley, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Gordon will be on Thursday, July 26, 2001 at 7:00 pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll Street,. Pastor Jim McCammon will officiate. Friends may call at the church from 3:00 until time of service. Burial will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery.

Gregg P. Seydel
Gregg P. Seydel, Of Cudahy, found peace Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002 at the age of 57 years.

Beloved husband of Carol J. Seydel (nee Riegel). Dear father of Lea Dawn and Corey Lynn Seydel. Son of Harriet Anderla and brother of Vici Belmont. Uncle of Kimberly Belmont and Jonathan (Sara) Belmont. Son-in-law of Roberta & Kenneth Riegel. Brother-in-law of Robert (Susan) Riegel. Also survived by his close friend Patti McGinty, Bernice McGinty as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 8, 2002 at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Thomas L. Stegall will officiate. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m.

Henry T. Burk, Jr.
Henry T. Burk, Jr., lifelong resident of Waukesha, died on Monday, August 6, 2001 at home at the age of 50 years. Henry was born on Dec. 25, 1950 in Waukesha the son of Henry and Mary Burk, Sr.

Henry will be sadly missed by his mother: Mary Burk of Waukesha his sisters: Donna L. Schindel of Oak Creek, WI Marykay (Bart) Albers of Eyota, MN his nieces and nephews: Regina and Ryan Schindel and Amanda, Nathan and Michael Albers His aunts: Antoinette (Robert) Monrean of Waukesha, WI and Rose Gasper of West Allis, WI Further survived by other relatives and friends. Henry is preceded in death by his father: Henry Burk, Sr.

The memorial service for Henry will be Friday, August 10, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home. Rev. Russell Hurst officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Helen M. Chase
Lifelong Waukesha resident, Helen M. Chase, died on Sunday, February 17, 2002 at the Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha at the age of 92 years.

She was born on May 9, 1909 in Waukesha, the daughter of Daniel J. & Hattie (nee Riford) Martin. She is the last remaining child of Daniel J. Martin, after whom the D.J. Martin American Legion Post #8 in Waukesha is named. Helen worked for the Waukesha County Social Services Department for 23 years before retirement.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband James B. Chase in 1968. She is the dear mother of Helen (Thomas) Subitch of Everett, WA., James (Bunny) Chase of Pewaukee and Karen Cappozzo of Ocala, FL. She is the grandmother of Daniel (Melissa) Subitch, Matthew (Lisa) Subitch, Todd Subitch, Thomas “Andy” (Tammie) Subitch, Cynthia (Rick) Thoenes, Catherine (William) Howland, Christine (Rick) Schwartz, Michelle (Rob) Tallinger, Joan Chase, Jenifer (Michael) Watts and Paula Weber. Also surviving are 17 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Helen will be on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha. Fr. Michael Michalski will celebrate Mass. Friends may call on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha following church services.

Heidi L. Sommer
Heidi L. Sommer, age 39 of New Berlin died unexpectedly Sunday March 17, 2002.

She was born April 2, 1962 in Waukesha a daughter of Dave and Eulalia (nee Conant) Lamp. She graduated from Waukesha High School. She was a waitress at Scorpio’s Restaurant in New Berlin for the past 3 years. On December 2, 2000, she married Timothy Sommer in Waukesha. Heidi loved her family, going up North to the cabin, fishing, and attending various festivals. She spoke her opinion and was open minded She was preceded in death by her Mother: Eulalia Lamp along with her father and mother-in-Law: Ronald and Francis Sommer.

Heidi is survived by her husband: Timothy M. Sommer of New Berlin, WI: step-son: Timothy R. Sommer of Waukesha, WI: her father: David Lamp of Waukesha, WI; 5 brothers: Peter, Darryl, and Dale Lamp, all of Waukesha, WI; Daniel (Joy) Lamp of Sussex, WI; and James Lamp of Waukesha, WI; her two sisters: Virginia (Doug) Wallerman of East Troy, WI; and Annette Stiglitz of Waukesha, WI. She is also survived by her 6 nieces and nephews: Katie Blum, Stacy Penner, Jason Penner, Roberta Lamp, Shannon Lamp, and Billy Lamp, 8 great nieces and nephews: Autumn, Jasmine, Caitlin, Sierra, Kendra, Cody, Gauge, and Chasady, her Brother-law: Jim Sommer and two sisters-in-law: Julie of Connecticut and Patricia Sommer of Waukesha, WI. along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service celebrating Heidi’s life will be held Thursday March 21, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. The Rev. Theodore Romberg of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha will be the officiant. Burial will be in Wisconsin Memorial in Brookfield. Friends may call on Wednesday March 20, 2002 from 5 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in Heidi’s name may be directed to the family.

Howard D. Steinman
Howard D. Steinman, lifelong resident of Waukesha, died on Monday, March 18, 2002 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 68 years.

Howard was born on July 29, 1933 the son of Donald and Rose Steinman in Waukesha, WI.

Howard will be sadly missed by his wife: Sandra (nee Parsons) his daughters: Christine Friske and Jennifer Mouzon both of Waukesha his sister: Dorothy Holloway of Waukesha Two Grandchildren: Makayla and Jordan Mouzon. He is further survived by nieces, a nephew and other relatives and friends.

A prayer service will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Rev. Glen Schaumberg officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the 7:00 p.m. service. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Family. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha, WI.

Irene A. Mobley
Irene A. Mobley of Waukesha died Monday, March 19, 2001 at the Hartland Health Care Center in Pewaukee at the age of 90 years. She was born on July 16, 1910 in Cudahy, Wisconsin, the daughter of John & Antoinette (nee Kotrych) Gutsch.

Irene worked for many years for Bloedl's Jewelry and Estberg's Jewelry in Waukesha. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Waukesha and later St. Paul's Catholic Church in Genesee Depot.

Irene is survived by her sister Emily O'Grady of Lake Forest, Il. Also surviving are many friends.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be Monday, April 16, 2001 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Genesee Depot. Fr. Paul Lippert will celebrate Mass. Interment will be in St. Paul's cemetery. For further information, please call Cesarz, Charapta & Zinnecker Funeral Home at 542-6609.

John Biro
John Biro, age 97 of Waukesha died Saturday March 16, 2002 at Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha.

John was born in Hungary, a son of the late Alexander and Rose Biro. On January 11, 1951 he married Libbie Smerchek in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on December 19, 1994. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Frank and Edward Smerchek and his sisters-in-law Mary Callahan and Lottie Southerland.

Mr. Biro came to America, settling in the Wisconsin area in the 1920’s. He eventually moved to Milwaukee where he owned and operated two taverns. After selling the taverns and retiring in the early 1960’s, John and Libbie moved to Okauchee to enjoy the lake living and fishing. In the early 1990’s John and Libbie moved to the Linden Grove facility in Waukesha, where he lived until the time of his passing.

John is survived by his brother-in-law: Joe Smerchek of Manhattan, Kansas; two sisters-in-law; Helen Terrell of Shawnee, Kansas and Margaret Smerchek of Salina, Kansas; five nephews: Dennis Callahan of Garnett, Kansas, Harold Callahan of Randolph, Kansas, Carl Smerchek of Garnett, Kansas, Lawrence Smerchek of Arma, Kansas, and Gene Smerchek of Allens Park, Colorado; four nieces: Mary Ellen Kelly of Plano, Texas, Charlotte Hinger of Hoxie Kansas, Zella Gwinn of Salina, Kansas, and Sandra Hanes of Hopkins, Minnesota.

Graveside services for John will be held Thursday, March 21, 2002 at the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett Kansas. Pastor Gary Benjamin will be the officiant.
