Clyde E. Banks
Lifelong resident of Waukesha died Thursday, November 27, 2003, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 74. Clyde was born December 15, 1928, in Waukesha, a son of Floyd and Ella (nee Finch) Banks. He graduated from Waukesha High School. On June 19, 1948, he married Marion Fohey at the First United Methodist Church in Waukesha. Clyde worked at Link Associates for over 37 years retiring in 1991. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Gertrude “Gert” Grauer and Arlene Banker and, two brothers, Floyd “Bud” Banks and Edgar Lidner.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Marion Banks of Waukesha; his four children, Linda (Dale) Andrus of Oconomowoc, Kathleen (Ronald) Kienast of Genesee, Jeffrey (Jill) Banks of Waukesha, and Gregory (Cheryl) Banks of Palmyra. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Randall (Jennifer) Andrus of Waukesha, Richard (Susan) Andrus of Oconomowoc, Jason (Cathi Nagel) Kienast of Waukesha, Yvonne (Joseph Johnson) Priest of Mukwonago, Justin Banks of Waukesha and Ryan and Ashley Banks, both of Palmyra; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Ross of Waukesha and Geraldine (Gerald) Rheingans of Waukesha; and one brother, Wendell Banks of Verde Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Audrey Banks, of Waukesha and a brother-in-law, George Banker of Jefferson, Wisconsin.
A Memorial Service celebrating Clyde’s life will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of service. Entombment of Clyde’s cremains will be at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
Robert H. Krueger
Born on March 27, 1926, the son of Henry and Laura (nee Schrinner) Krueger, lifelong Waukesha resident Bob Krueger found peace on Monday, March 29, 2004 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 78 years. He was an Army veteran of WWII, serving in Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France and Germany. After the war, Bob became a journeyman patternmaker at Waukesha Foundry where he worked for over 50 years. He loved woodworking and spending time at his northwoods cottage. Bob was a Cub Scout leader for over 15 years and a long time member of the First Baptist Church.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Lou (nee Friberg), whom he married on July 14, 1950, his children; Michael of Hortonville, WI, Thomas (Nancy) of Waukesha, Joel (Janelle) of Mukwonago, Susan of Waukesha, Timothy (Pamela) of Helenville, WI and Jerry of Milwaukee, his grandchildren; Nicole, Sara, James, Allison, Rebecca, Kurtis and Daniel Krueger and Hailey Smith, his sister, Betty Gebhardt of Waukesha, his brother-in-law, Barry (Patricia) Friberg of Texas, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia.
A Funeral Service for Robert will be on Friday, April 2, 2004 at 7:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Pastor Jim Carlson will officiate. A visitation will be on Friday at the Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until the time of service. A family interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials to the First Baptist Church or charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated.
William "Bill" W. Stiles
Of Cecil WI, died on February 3, 2004 in Key West, FL at the age of 67 years. Bill was born on October 31, 1936 in Waukesha, WI the son of Walter and Ruth (nee Nehs) Stiles. He married Lois Kirchenberg on November 16, 1957. William served in the US Navy October 4, 1954 to September 24, 1956. He was a Master Mason at Waukesha and Shawano Lodges, 32nd Degree Mason at Wisconsin Scottish Rite, Member at Tripoli Shrine (1971-1993) Zor Shrine (1993-2004) and Beja Shrine (2004 to date). He attended the Waukesha Noon Optimists for many years and was President (1975-1976) and Lt. Governor of Optimists International (1976-1977). He served as Vice President of Administration for the Boy Scouts of America, also an Area Council Board Member and various other positions from 2965-1982. Former member of Lions Club in New Glarus (1988-1990) and the Evangelical and Reformed Church of Christ in Waukesha. He was employed by Steen Engineering from 1959-1987 and owned an Insurance Agency in New Glarus from 1987-1992.
William will be sadly missed by his wife, Lois, daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Rostowfske of Stoughton, WI, grandsons, Matthew and Kyle of Stoughton, WI, brother, Lee (Mary) Stiles of Crystal River, FL other relatives and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his son David and brother David.
A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2004 at 4:00 PM at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. A Masonic Service will be held at 3:45 pm at the funeral home. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Reverend Howard Kusler will officiate. Burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial in Bill’s name are appreciated to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Drive, Tampa, FL 33607-1460.
Bernard "Ben" C. Frost
of Waukesha, died on Saturday, March 6, 2004, at the age of 81 years. He was born on February 8, 1923, the son of Stanish and Clara (Nowacki) Frost. Ben was a milkman for the Borden Co. for over 40 years.
Ben will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Jean (nee Jensen); his children, Geraldine (Gary) Kirby of Waukesha, Garry (Bridget) Frost of Waukesha, Terry Frost of Waukesha, Philip Frost of Racine, and Kurt (Deana) Frost of Waukesha; his 14 grandchildren, Craig (Kris), Kim (Sheldon), Chad (Dee Ann), Bill, Tom (Missy), Matthew, John (Elizabeth), Christopher (Tiffany), Megan, Erin, Shannon, Melody, Andrew, and Kurt Jr., 7 great grandchildren, Phoenix, Memphis, Payton, Savannah, Nathan, Hunter and Mackinzy his sister, Phyllis (James) Matthews of Oakfield, WI, and his brother, Donald (Fern) Frost of Milwaukee, WI his brother-in-law, Mike Nolan and his sisters-in-law, Marion and Isabelle Frost. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Ben was preceded in death by his son, Darrell, his brothers, Bill, Ed, Alex, Raymond and Leonard, and his sisters, Irene, Delphine, Joyce and Alice.
The funeral mass celebrating Ben’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at St. William’s Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. Fr. Leonard Barbian is officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home at 237 N. Moreland Blvd., and a second visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at St. William Catholic Church. Interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery immediately following the mass on Wednesday.

Claude A. Johnson
Claude A. Johnson, of Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Wisconsin, died at his residence in Florida on August 19, 2003 at the age of 91 years.
He was a graphic artist for Kearney and Trecker.
He is survived by his two grandchildren; Scott Johnson of Greenfield, WI and Linda Del Ponte of Germantown, WI.
A graveside service for Claude will be on Monday, August 25, 2003 at 11:30 am at Highland Memorial Park, 14875 W. Greenfield Ave., New Berlin.
Carter Malcolm Paine
Of Waukesha died on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Froedtert Hospital at the age of 45 years. Carter was born on June 3, 1958 in Waukesha, the son of Archie and Dorothy (nee Sleik) Paine. Carter was employed for 10 years with General Motors/Delphi Electronics, Town of La Grange Police Dept./Boat Patrol, Police Department of Sharon, and the Village of Winthrop Harbor, IL Police Department. He was also a Wisconsin State Boat Safety Instructor, a Waukesha County Park Ranger and the owner of Special Operations Task Force, LLC. Carter was a high school graduate of University Lake School in 1976, received an Associate Degree in Electronics Technology from WCTC, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University, Milwaukee, a State of Wisconsin Certified Law Enforcement Officer from WCTC, and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee.
Carter will be sadly missed by his wife Brenda (nee Johnson) of Waukesha, who he married on January 11, 1987, his children, Natasha Anya and Wyeth Isador, his sister, Barbara Elizabeth (Robert F.) Ptaschinski of Waukesha, his brother, Morgan T. (Janice T.) Paine of Naples, FL, his father and mother-in-law, Victor and Betty Johnson of Black River Falls, WI, his sister-in-law, Lois (Ron) Zdeb of Caledonia, his brothers-in-law, Gene Johnson of Milwaukee and William Johnson of Milwaukee, and his nieces and nephews, Bryant Gauthier, Tamara Ptaschinski, Tyler and Matthew Paine, Justin, Angie and Sarah Johnson, and Joseph Zdeb. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Carter was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation for Carter will be on Sunday, December 28, 2003 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:30 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 424 Hyde Park Ave. Waukesha. Pastor James Wilch will officiate. Interment will take place on Monday, December 29, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Black River Falls, WI.
Charlotte C. Peyton
Of Waukesha, Born on October 25, 1913 in Milwaukee, the daughter of John and Lillian (nee Klaas) Casper, died on Friday, March 26, 2004 at Avalon Square at the age of 90 years. She was active with her children in the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts and a member of the Y.W.C.A. Board. She assisted her husband in the family businesses, one being Peyton Place Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph, daughter, Jeanne Peyton Gilham, her brothers, John and Charlie Casper and sisters; Marianne Lynn and Margaret Casper.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Karen (James) Goodman of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Richard (Sandi) Peyton of Waukesha, her grandchildren; James Jr. (Susan) Goodman, Lynn (James) Carney, Patti (Kerry) Dyer, Susan (Dean) Brehm, Cindy (Keith) Christensen, Chad Goodman, Deanna (Doug) Morgenson, Todd (Nancy) Peyton, Treg (Julie) Peyton and Tyler (Lauren) Peyton, 14 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service for Charlotte will be on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the Avalon Square, 222 Park Place, Waukesha. Pastor Donald Clarke will officiate. A visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Family interment in Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Avalon Square or Vitas Hospice would be appreciated.
Cornelia K. Rosencrans
Of Waukesha died on Thursday, November 20, 2003 at Linden Grove Health Care Center at the age of 94 years. Cornelia was born on November 21, 1908 in Wyalusing, WI, the daughter of James and Emma (Horstman) Millin. Cornelia was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, in 1982, her sister Gloria Anderson and brother Ora Millin.
Cornelia will be sadly missed by her sons; Jerome (Janice) of Carlsbad, NM, and James (Darlene) Rosencrans of Nekoosa, WI, her grandchildren; Judy (Kevin) Alft, Janel (Bruce) Dudzik, Jeri Lyn Hidde, Susan (Mark) Cotts and Todd (Mary) Rosencrans, her great grandchildren; Michael, Tiffany and Crystal Alft, Kayla and Benjamin Dudzik, Sydney and Bryce Hidde, Allissa Cotts, Rachel, Taylor and Joseph Rosencrans, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Cornelia will be held on Monday, November 24, 2003 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 424 Hyde Park Ave. Waukesha. Visitation will be on Monday, November 24, 2003 from 11:00 until the time of service at the church. Reverend James Wilch will be officiating. Interment will take place in Prairie Home Cemetery following the service. Memorial in Cornelia’s name may be made to St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Charlotte V. Straetz
Age 90 of Waukesha died Saturday, February 7, 2004 at Woodland Health Care Center, Brookfield. Charlotte was born February 24, 1913 a daughter of John and Charlotte (nee Schmidt) Reischel. She retired from Cutler & Hammer in 1975 after 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her four brothers: John, Al, Ben and Sylvester.
Charlotte is survived by her son Gerald (Patricia) Straetz of Westfield and her daughter: Gail (Joseph) Fon of Waukesha. She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Cheryl (Christopher) Smith of Dousman, Joseph (Barbara) Fon, Jr. of Germantown, Vickie Fon of Shorewood, Scott (Jeannine) Straetz of Hartford, and Bobbie Jane Straetz of Racine. Charlotte is also survived by her four great grandchildren: Jonathan and Rebecca Smith, Jake & Jared Fon, along with other relatives and friends.
Our heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and doctors at Waukesha Memorial Hospital who were so good to Charlotte. A special thanks to a special doctor, Dr. Bob Schellinger.
A visitation for Charlotte will be on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m. Father Michael Michalski will officiate. Memorials/Masses in her name may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Dorothy E. Blodgett
Dorothy E. Blodgett, lifelong resident of Waukesha, died Wednesday May 8, 2002 at Linden Grove Health Care Facility in Waukesha.
She was born July 4, 1912 a daughter of the late Christian Lindner and Anna Beeheim. She is a member of Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ in Waukesha. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. She married George Blodgett on December, 22 1942. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1999. She was a fantastic mom and will be missed by her family.
Dorothy is survived by her two children: Arthur (Diane) Blodgett of Batavia, Illinois and Janet (Jim) Jones of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin six grandchildren: Anne (Ed), Emily, Michael, Scott (Loretta), Susan (Greg), and Julianne (Wayne), six great grandchildren: Jennifer, Nicole, Matthew, Anna, Alexander, and William, four sisters-in-law: Marcelaine (Elmer) McCulloch, Kathryn (Berkley) Wurtz, Virginia Blodgett, and Laura Blodgett, three Brothers-in-law: DeLou Blodgett, David Blodgett, and Harvey Hoffman along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Dorothy will be Monday May 13, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ in Waukesha (413 Wisconsin Avenue - Waukesha). The Rev. Dr. Wayne Adkock will be the officiant. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha. Friends may call on Sunday May 12, 2002 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. and on Monday May 13th at E & R United Church of Christ from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials in Dorothy’s name may be directed to the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ.
