Mary Lou Hansen

(nee Fellenz) Entered the Kingdom of God on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at the age of 70, after an active, living struggle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Robert C. Hansen of Waukesha WI; her four children, Tim (Pernilla) Hansen of Morgan Hill, CA, Jane (Jim) Anklam of Superior, WI, Susan (Tim) Hinze of St. Paul, MN and Rob (Jennifer) Hansen of Mt. Pleasant, MI; grandchildren, Mikaela, Katrina and Emily Hansen, Anna and Andrew Anklam, Sierra and Aurora Hinze and Daniel Hansen. Further survived by brothers, sister-in-laws and brother-in-law; Robert (Mary) Fellenz of Bozeman, MT, Richard (Margee) Fellenz of Alfred Station, NY, Peter (Cathy) Fellenz of Worcester, MA and Paul (Kathy) Fellenz of Neenah, WI and Norman “Red” Hansen of Peshtigo, WI. In addition there are several nieces and nephews, and many cousins, along with an Aunt and Uncle, Andrew and Evelyn Rinzel. Also remembered by her dear “Pot Luck Friends”, Mary Ann, Maureen , Millie, Larry, Kathy, Leonard, Patricia, Jerry and Kay.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Veronica (Rinzel) Fellenz of Clintonville, WI and a sister, Mary Ann

Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 255 S. Hartwell Ave., Waukesha, WI on Monday, June 7, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation at church from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Entombment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha, WI.

Mary Lou was born on December 8, 1933 in West Bend, and attended school at Holy Angels School and freshman year at West Bend High School. Her parents then moved to Clintonville, WI where she finished at Clintonville High School, graduating in 1951. She then went to Marquette University, graduating from the College of Nursing in 1955. She was employed by St. Michael’s Hospital in Milwaukee and was instrumental in the opening of their facility on Villard Ave.

She and Robert were married at St. John’s DeNepomuc in Milwaukee on November 21, 1959, Robert’s career took them to live in many places; Champaign, IL, Peoria, IL, Los Angeles, CA, Cleveland (Bay Village), OH, Deerfield, IL and Rockford, IL. Upon his retirement, they decided to go back to Wisconsin and settled in Waukesha in 1994.

Mary returned to her Nursing career when they lived in Deerfield having worked for several years with the Glenview, IL School System as a School Nurse.

She was always active in the church and community, gathering many good friends along the way. More recently she belonged to the Ten Plus Investment Club in Wauwatosa and was a member of a Christian Community Bible group at St. Mary’s Church. She also participated with “Tyme Out” Ministry center in Nashotah, and was a member of Friends of Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha County.

Along with her husband, she was an avid fan and season ticket holder for both the Marquette University Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, often traveling to out of town games to cheer them on. Member of the Marquette University alumni Association, Blue and Gold Tip-off club, Directors club, Presidents council, and Eagles Edge Club, where many good friendships were formed.

Robert “Bob” P. Hockwalt

Of Pewaukee. Born on July 4, 1911 in Missoula, Montana, the son of Raymond and Cora (nee Dodson) Hockwalt, died on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at Elmbrook Memorial Hospital at the age of 92 years. He was a member of St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church. He married Marie Schmidt on January 11, 1933 in West Allis, they were together for 70 years upon her death in 2003. After moving to Pewaukee from Indiana , he and his wife bought O’Hare Fur Farm, which they named Oak Hill Fur Farm, and operated for 20 years. He worked for the Waukesha County Highway Department working his way to Assistant Commissioner. Upon his retirement, he helped at his son’s service station. He was a member of the 4-H and a Boy Scout Leader.

Bob will be sadly missed by his son, Dennis (Kay) Hockwalt of Waukesha; his daughter-in-law, Mary Hockwalt of Walnut, CA; his grandchildren, Dawn Hockwalt of Marshall, Chad (Carol) Hockwalt of Pewaukee, Amy, Timothy, Megan, Lee and Greta Hockwalt all of Walnut, CA; his great grandchildren, Jasmine Martinez-Hockwalt of Walnut, CA and Dennis J. Hockwalt of Pewaukee; his brother, Martin Hockwalt of Lakeland, Florida; sisters-in-law, Lydia (Jud) Mayhew of Hartland and Hilda Schilz of West Allis, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parent; his wife, Marie; his son, Ron Hockwalt; his brother, Ray (Millie) Hockwalt; sisters-in-law, Vi Hockwalt, Doris Schmidt, Elizabeth Laabs and Molly Conrad; his brothers-in-law, Jerome Schilz, Jake, Robert and David Schmidt.

A Funeral Mass for Bob will be on Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony on the Lake Catholic Church, W280 N2101 Prospect Ave., Pewaukee. Father Tom Venne will officiate. A visitation will be at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha on Monday, May 31, 2004 from 4:00 pm until the vigil service at 7:00 pm. A second visitation will be on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials to the Ron Hockwalt “Make a Difference” Scholarship Fund, c/o Walnut Valley Educational Foundation, 880 South Lemon Ave., Walnut, CA 91789 would be appreciated.

Lloyd E. Selzer

Of Waukesha, was born into Eternal Life on Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 69. Lloyd was born June 8, 1934 in Fairfax, Iowa, the son of Jacob and Mary (nee Smith) Selzer. Upon graduation from high school in 1952, he joined the U.S. Air Force. On August 13, 1960, he married Dorothy “Dottie” Dwan in Mason City, Iowa. Lloyd had worked for Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Danville, Illinois, and for Miller and Schlitz Breweries in Milwaukee. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he was a rural carrier in Muskego. Lloyd is a member of St. William’s Catholic Church in Waukesha. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Ralph Tines, a brother, Wallace, and a brother-in-law, John “Dick” Harover.

Lloyd will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy “Dottie” Selzer of Waukesha; his children, Jim Selzer of Milwaukee, Carol Selzer of Waukesha, Connie Selzer of Waukesha, John Selzer of Milwaukee and Cathy Selzer of Waukesha; son-in-law, James Kerr of Waukesha; and three grandchildren, Brandon Selzer, Allie Kerr and Torrie Kerr, all of Waukesha. Lloyd is also survived by his sister, Mildred Harover of Fairfax, Iowa; three brothers, William (Vicki) Selzer of Atwater, California, Curtis Selzer of Fairfax, Iowa, and Kenneth (Mary Catherine) Selzer of Fairfax, Iowa; his mother-in-law, Winifred Dwan of Mason City, Iowa; his two sisters-in-law, Margaret Selzer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Mary Ellen Ratajesak of Ogden, Utah; two brothers-in-law, John “Jack” (Diana) Dwan of Clarkdale, Arizona and Thomas (Lynn) Dwan of Mason City, Iowa, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, friends, and pets.

Lloyd's family would like to thank the staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their kind, gentle, and extraordinary care.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Lloyd will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at St. William’s Catholic Church (440 N. Moreland Blvd.) in Waukesha. Father Leonard Barbian will be the celebrant. Following cremation, entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha. Friends may call at St. William’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 2, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the mass at 6:30 p.m. Memorials in Lloyd’s name may be directed to the American Heart Association (660 East Mason Street, Suite 200 Milwaukee, WI. 53202) or to the American Cancer Society (N19 W24350 Riverwood Drive Waukesha, WI. 53188).

Nathaniel William Piotrowski

Of Waukesha, died on Friday, May 14, 2004, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 19. Nathaniel was born on June 8, 1984, in Waukesha, the son of William and Mary (nee Schaaf) Piotrowski. Nathaniel graduated from Waukesha North High School in 2002. He was currently a General Motors Auto Technician student at WCTC and was planning to graduate this month. Nathaniel was employed at Kuettner Oldsmobile and enjoyed cars, hunting and fishing.

Nathaniel will be sadly missed by his parents, his sister, Amanda, his brother, Gabriel, his paternal grandparents, William and Beatrice Piotrowski, his maternal grandmother, Doris Schaaf, his aunts and uncles; Sandy (Dennis) LaFratta, Cathy (David) Ruehmer, Bonnie (Rick) Kasper, Marcia (Karl) Strommen, Craig Schaaf, Louann (Larry) Shanklin, and Beatrice Piotrowski. He is also survived by his girlfriend Shantelle Simon, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Nathaniel is preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Schaaf.

A Mass for Nathaniel will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2004, at 11:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell, Waukesha. Father Brian Mason will be officiating. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2004, from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, and a second visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha.

We will process from the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Thursday for the 11:30 AM Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery on Thursday immediately following the Mass.

Walter G. Fuchs

Lifelong resident of Waukesha. Born on August 15, 1909 in Waukesha, the son of August and Martha (nee Mueller) Fuchs, died on Monday, May 10, 2004 at Waukesha Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 94 years. He was a member of the Waukesha Eagles Club #453 since 1936 and in 2003 he was inducted into the Waukesha Eagles Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Eagles Hall of Fame. He attended the Waukesha Vocational School where he studied woodworking. He was exceptionally talented on his wood lathe, making lamps, wooden bowls and pieces of furniture. He loved to golf and bowl, he and his brother Bill won the 1948 State of Wisconsin Bowling Doubles Championship. He golfed until he was 91 years old. He worked for 1st National Bank of Waukesha and then the Waukesha Fire Department for 23 years. He was a fire inspector for 7 of those years for the City of Waukesha and after retirement was part time inspector for the City of Elm Grove. Walt was preceded in death by his first wife, Lilas Fuchs, his eldest son, Robert Foxx, his grandson, Jeffrey Alan Emery, his sisters; Margaret Hubbard, Olga Fuchs, Elizabeth Martens, Frieda Koch, brother, William Fuchs and step-son, Stan Baron.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Alice (nee Baron) Fuchs, son, Keith (Karen) Fuchs, daughter, Donna (Virgil) Emery, step-daughters, Janet (Max) Rozinski, Eileen (Henry) Shane, daughter-in-law, Dorothy Paulic, brother, Harold Fuchs, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Walter will be on Thursday, May 13, 2004 at 7:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Rev. Wayne Adcock will officiate. A visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials to the Salvation Army or American Red Cross would be appreciated.

Howard L. Jorgenson
Howard L. Jorgenson, of Waukesha, born on November 23, 1947 in Waukesha, the son of Lyle and Doris (nee Gable) Jorgenson, died on Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at the age of 55 years.

He was a ham radio operator and had a pilot's license. He loved motorcycle riding. He was a truck driver for Beatrice Cheese Trucking where he retired. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Eleanora whom he married on October 26, 1968, his son Lyle of Dousman, Barbra (Jason) Helker of Waukesha, his sister, Eleanor Dudley of Dousman, his grandchildren; Steven and Haley Jorgenson and Tyler and Kyle Helker, his Dalmatian, Chelsea, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald.

Funeral services for Howard will be on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 10:30 am at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Father Leonard Barbian will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday, June 6 at the funeral home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of service. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Richard J. (Dick) Lange
Richard J. (Dick) Lange, lifelong resident of Waukesha died Monday October 27, 2003, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Dick was born November 18, 1920 in Waukesha a son of John Julius and Ethel (nee Hammond) Lange.

He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1940. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. On September 22, 1945 he married Marian Agnes Trakel at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Dick worked at Waukesha Motors for over 40 years in the Service/Shipping Department. He retired in 1983. He is a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha having served as an active member volunteering for the church, ushering, and playing dart ball. He also is a member of the Waukesha Motor’s Old Timers Club. He enjoyed bowling, baseball, fishing, and going Up North to the place in Waupaca. He always enjoyed pulling your leg and telling funny stories. He loved his family, especially supporting the grandkids at their school activities. He was an all around special guy who was also known for his long goodbyes. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marian A. Lange on February 21, 1995.

Dick is survived by his daughter: Christine D. (Franklyn G.) Regenfuss of Waukesha, his two grandchildren: Laura Regenfuss of West Allis, Wisconsin and Robert Regenfuss of Egan, Minnesota, his sister: Doris (Wilmer) Cullen of Waukesha along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will also be missed by his best friend: Lou Teschner of Waukesha.

The funeral service celebrating Dick’s life will be held on Thursday October 30, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. Rev. Jim McCammon will be the officiant. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7p.m. at the funeral home on Moreland Blvd. Memorials in Dick’s name may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Dorothy Martens (Dot) Neubauer
Dorothy Martens (Dot) Neubauer, of Waukesha, born on March 3, 1915 in Oconto, WI, the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (nee Rousseau) Martens, died on Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Heartland Health Care Center at the age of 88 years.

She was a member of St. William Catholic Church. She graduated from Oconto High School. She married Paul L. Neubauer Sr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oconto in 1937. She and her husband were longtime charter members of Sacred Heart Parish in Appleton before Dorothy moved to Waukesha in 1997. She was a member of Christian Women and the a lady’s bowling league in Appleton. She loved to golf, fish at Kelly Lake and play Sheepshead. She also crocheted and knitted, making something for each grandchild.

She will be sadly missed by her sons; Robert D. (Shannon) Neubauer of Waukesha and Richard E. (Cheryl) Neubauer of Wichita, KS, her daughter-in-law, Jane Neubauer of Waukesha, her grandchildren; Kathryn (Todd) Legault of Bloomington, MN, Patrick (Katy) Neubauer of Waukesha, Brian Neubauer of Hollywood, CA, Megan (Josh) VanHeirseele of Grayslake, IL, Erin Neubauer of Waukesha, Marc and James Neubauer of Wichita, KS, her great grandchildren; Andrew and Janae Legault, Izaac and Maleny Neubauer, her brother Edward (Cora) Martens of Appleton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul Sr. and son Paul Jr. “Skip”.

A Funeral Mass for Dorothy will be on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 6:00 pm at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Father Leonard Barbian will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 4:30 pm until the time of the Mass and also on Friday, October 17, 2003 at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI from 12:00 noon until the time of committal at 2:00 p.m. Memorials in Dorothy’s name are appreciated to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
