Douglas J. Harris

Of Westfield, WI and Corpus Christi, TX, formerly of Waukesha. Born on January 24, 1930 in Waukesha, the son of Joseph and Lela (nee Murdock) Harris, died on Saturday, August 21, 2004 in Marshfield, WI at the age of 74 years. He was an avid fisherman, loved playing horseshoes and hunting. He was a member of the B.A.C. Local 8.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lucille, whom he married on November 10, 1951, his children, Mark (Cheryl) of Theresa, WI, Tim (Renee) of Waukesha, David (Kathy) of Oconomowoc and Janet (PaT) Kuney of Lake Geneva, his grandchildren, Joel Harris, Tim, Lela and Justine Harris, Tara Harris, Doug Jenny, Patrick Kuney and Anissa (Wayne) Baeder, 6 great grandchildren, his sister, Janet (Jim) McGregor of Adams, WI, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, LeRoy Harris .

A Memorial Service for Douglas will be on Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at 5:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. A visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Memorials to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852 would be appreciated.

Dolores L. Kurtz

Of Waukesha. Born on February 4, 1913 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Louis and Emma (nee Schoblaski) Mirkes, died on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at Linden Grove Health Care Center – Waukesha at the age of 90 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, in 1981 and brother, Robert and son-in-law, Dale Siverling.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Gerald (Rosemary) Kurtz of Goodyear, AZ, and her daughter, Gail Siverling of Waukesha, her grandchildren; Julie (Carl) Huttner of Waukesha, Cheryl (Gary Becker) Marien of Pewaukee, Barbara Low (Kevin) of Farmington, NM, John Kurtz of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joseph (Melissa) Kurtz of Papillion, NE, 12 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass for Dolores will be on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Visitation for Dolores will be on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until time of Mass. A private family interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Linden Grove Healthcare Center in Waukesha, c/o the Edenization Program (425 N. University Dr. Waukesha, 53188)

Dorothy R. Loesche

Of Waukesha. Born on June 24, 1935 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Peter and Emma (nee Kaddatz) Brogle, died on Monday, February 16, 2004 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 68 years.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Kurt, whom she married on September 10, 1955, her sons; Gregory (Rebecca) of Greenfield and Michael (Janet) of Pewaukee, her grandson, Jon and grandchild to be, her sister, Delores Strehlow of Milwaukee, her brother, Peter “Butch” (Jane) Brogle Jr., her sister-in-law, Rosemary Loesche of Waukesha, other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass for Dorothy will be on Friday, February 20, 2004 at 11:00 am at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd. Father Leonard Barbian will officiate. A visitation will be on Thursday, February 19, 2004 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. and at the church on Friday from 10:15 am until the time of Mass. A vigil service will be on Thursday at the Funeral Home at 7:30 pm. Interment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Doris Victoria (nee Goff) Mielke

Of Waukesha died on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at Virginia Health Care Center at the age of 84 years. Doris was born in Waukesha on June 13, 1920, the daughter of Archie and Mildred (nee Shephard) Goff. She married her husband, Robert on March 28, 1942. Doris was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, the Sarah Circle at church, a past president of the Ladies Elks and a member of the Garden Club of Waukesha.

Doris will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert, of Mukwonago; son, Robert Mielke of Mukwonago; daughters, Sandra Cadd of Waukesha, Jo-Ellen (Ken) Van Gorder of Camron, WI, Kari (Pete) Hertl of Watertown and Sara Mielke of West Bend; grandchildren, James, Leah, Alissa, Allen, Leigh, Kyle, Emily, Kasie, Shaunta, Abby, Allison and Holly; sister, Shirley (Richard) Buechler of Waukesha, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Virginia Health Care Center and the people at The Caring Place for the wonderful care they provided Doris.

A funeral service for Doris will be held on Monday, August 30, 2004 at 5:30 PM at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha. A visitation will also be held on Monday at the funeral home from 2:30 PM until the 5:30 PM service. Memorials in Doris’s name can be directed to the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave. Waukesha, WI 53186.

Diane S. Sanders
Diane S. Sanders, of Waukesha, born on May 24, 1941 in Whitewater, WI, the daughter of Harold and Doris (nee Harris) Schultz, died suddenly on Friday, April 11, 2003 at home at the age of 61 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 42 years, William, whom she married on April 8, 1961, her daughters; Lora (Kevin) Clemons of Waukesha, Cheryl Yoss of Ashippun, Billie Jo Rindt of Waukesha and Danielle Sanders of Oconomowoc, her mother, Doris Schultz of Waukesha, Her grandchildren; Matthew, Anthony and Roger, her brothers and sisters; Karen (Sheldon) Johnson, Susan (Allen) Theusch, Sandy (Ken) Larson and Kris (Jean) Schultz, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, brother, Dale and father-in-law and mother-in-law; William and Lucille Sanders.

Funeral services for Diane will be on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 7:00 pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 300 Carroll St., Waukesha. Pastor Ted Romberg will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 15 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater. Memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Don A. Stouffer

Don Allan Stouffer, born March 7, 1920, left this earth to travel to where there are no fishing limits on July 7, 2004. Beloved husband of the late Maryanna Baird Stouffer. Cherished father and fishing partner of James “J.P.” (Shirle), Baird (Julie), and Lynne (David) Stouffer-Keuler. Adoring grandfather of Jeffrey (fiancé Karrie Miller) Stouffer, Jonathan Stouffer, Scott (Tracy) Stouffer and Jennifer (Jonathan) Paull. Great grandfather of Mikayla Fox Stouffer and Emily Ann Stouffer. Older brother of James G. (the late Margaret) Stouffer, M.D. Special friend of Rita M. Williamson and her children Monica (John) Santroch, Anne (Jeff) Schulz, and Jon Williamson. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Don was a graduate of Waukesha High School Class of January 1938. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a member of DeMolay. A graduate of Carroll College, Class of 1942, with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a member of Rho of Psi Upsilon.

Don served in the United States Army during WWII as the hospital administrator at Ft. Smith, Arkansas, in charge of 750 hospital employees. He was discharged from the U.S. Army Reserves at the rank of Major.

Don started his career working for Baird Brothers, from whom he purchased the National Pedigree Company. The National Pedigree Company was one of five of companies in the country to compile and publish pedigrees for registered dairy cattle, in particular Holstein-Friesian cattle. He also formed the National Sales Company with his late partner Harvey Schwartz. They organized sales for registered and grade dairy cattle throughout the United States. Don served as assistant dairy superintendent for Holstein-Friesian Cattle at the Wisconsin State Fair for more than 40 years. Don was a past member of the Waukesha County, Wisconsin and National Holstein-Friesian Associations.

Don also owned Don A. Stouffer Insurance Agency, an independent insurance agency focusing on property and casualty insurance. He served as the secretary/treasurer of the Waukesha Town Mutual Insurance Company until his retirement in 1985.

Don was a past president and lifetime member of the Waukesha Optimist Club. He was responsible for initiating the annual Waukesha Optimist Club Grade School Swim Meet, first held at the YMCA. Forty-plus years later, this event continues to be popular with Waukesha students.

Don served the Wisconsin Independent Athletic Association (WIAA) as a swimming and diving official for many years. Don and his son Baird were the first father/son officiating team in Wisconsin. Don was also one of the original founders of the Waukesha Swim Club.

Don was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, a past member of Merrill Hills Country Club, an avid fisherman and golfer. He shared his passion of these activities with his children and grandchildren.

The funeral service for Don will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2004 at 7:00 p.m at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Rev. Ralph Schultz will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday. Burial with full military honors will be at Prairie Home Cemetery.

The family extends their appreciation to Dr. Agnew, Dr. Leech, and Dr. Davies for their care and support for the past ten years. The family also thanks the staffs of Linden Heights and Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their care and concern and Rev. Ralph Schultz of the Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ for his spiritual support. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Waukesha Noon Optimist Club, the Carroll College Foundation or the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County.

Doreen S. Weidler
Age 60, found peace on December 25, 2003, coming home to God to celebrate Christmas. Beloved wife of Michael of Dousman, loving mother of Wendee (Dean) Puccetti of Pewaukee, and Susan (Scott) Harrod of Waunakee. Absolutely adored grandma of Marissa, Lauren and Melanie. Precious daughter of Grace (Bill) Wendt and the late John Sullivan. Further survived by many special family and friends.
Her passion and excitement for life were apparent in everything she did. Doreen married Mike on May 14, 1966. She worked for more than 20 years at Bank One in Wales, however, her greatest accomplishment was being the most incredibly thoughtful person to everyone whose life she touched. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her three angels, shopping, going out to lunch and baking the best pies in the world. Visitation Sunday, December 28, 2003 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 29, 2003 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Genesee Depot Hwy 83 & D. Interment will be at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorials in Doreen’s name suggested to St. Paul’s Church Building Fund.

Eleanor L. Barth Flynn

of Waukesha, died at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 20, 2004, at the age of 90 years. She was born on August 12, 1913, in Bensenville, IL, the daughter of Herman and Matilda (Franzen) Kolze. She was employed for many years at the Butler Bin Co., volunteered for many years for the Girl Scouts and RSVP, and enjoyed ceramics and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Theophil Barth, her second husband Charles Flynn, daughter Sharon, four brothers and three sisters.

Eleanor will be sadly missed by her children, James Barth of Wauwatosa, and Patricia Johnson of Sylvania, OH; two granddaughters, Tamra Aloi of Chicago and Amy Johnson of Maui, Hawaii, other relatives and many friends.

The funeral celebrating Eleanor’s life will be held on Monday, March 22, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the charity of the donor’s choice. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home is serving the family.

Evelyn I. Bloede
Evelyn I. Bloede, of Waukesha. Born on July 21, 1907, the only daughter of the late William and Ida Staab, died on Monday, July 14, 2003 at Linden Grove Health Care Center at the age of 95 years.

She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, Waukesha, where she was a long time member of the Ruth Circle. She served as Chairman of the Annual Church Bazaar for over 40 years. Evelyn was a charter member of "The Friendly Folks Club" at the YWCA for over 25 years. She enjoyed working in her large flower garden and had beautiful red climbing roses on the side of her garage, taking care of them with a loving hand. She was known as "The Flower Lady" of Roberta Ave., by the young children who often stopped to ask for a flower to take home to their mothers. She enjoyed having her family come and visit, especially for dinner on the holidays.

Evelyn is survived by her three loving children; William (Carol) Bloede, June (Joseph) Jackson and Doris (James) Kramer, her seven grandchildren who were the joy of her life; Richard (Kaye) Bloede, Debra A. Bloede, Kenneth Kramer, Susan Kramer, Kyle (Gale) Kramer, Sandra (Michael) Schick and Robert (Abbie) Jackson, and her eight great grandchildren; Caroline and Elisabeth Bloede, Daniel, David and Timothy Schick, Austin, Hudson and Kimberly Kramer. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law; Mabel Winchester and Erma Carr and brother-in-law, Edward (Dorie) Bloede, her nieces, Diane Duncan and Rhoda Staab, her nephews; Thomas Staab, Mark (Carole) Bloede, John Bloede, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Ervin A. Bloede in 1968 and her brothers; Clarence, Wilson and James Staab.

Funeral services for Evelyn will be on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at 7:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:30 pm until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery on Monday, July 21, 2003 at 11:00 am. Please meet at the cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the American Diabetes Association or the Evangelical and Reformed Church Scholarship Fund.

Esther Lucinda Burridge Boberg

Of Waukesha. Born on November 26, 1922 in Braintree, VT, the daughter of Ernest and Anna (nee Sears) Burridge, died on Thursday, September 09, 2004 at home at the age of 81 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. LeRoy Boberg, brothers; Charles and Robert L. Burridge, her sisters; Edith Cicardo and Ethel Lapan. She is survived by her sister, Elsie Mitchell, several nephews, nieces, cousins and special friend, David D. Wright.

A special thanks to Waukesha Memorial Hospital Oncology Department for their very special loving care. A very appreciative thanks to the caregivers of ProHealth Home Care.
