Ervin E. Buehl
Ervin E. Buehl, of Waukesha, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001 at Woodland Health Care Center at the age of 94 years. Ervin was born on June 16, 1907 in Monroe, WI the son of George and Augusta Buehl. He was a masseur at the Moor Mud Baths for almost 29 years.

Ervin will be sadly missed by his wife: Helen (nee Wagner) and his daughter: Lois De Quardo of Waukesha his sister: Rose Vogel of Waukesha. Four grandchildren and Six great grandchildren and One great great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his son: Ervin G. Buehl his granddaughter: Lynn Hefter and his son-in-law: George De Quardo.

Private services for Ervin will be held. Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home is serving the family.

Elizabeth H. Clemens

Age 86 of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Waukesha died Thursday November 6, 2003, at the Northwest Medical Center in Tucson. Elizabeth was born October 5, 1917 in Waukesha a daughter of Richard and Hedwig (nee Krueger) Oemig. She was a telephone operator in Tucson for A.T.& T. for over thirty years, retiring in 1978. She volunteered her time teaching Sunday School and helping the deaf. She loved the mountains. In her youth, she hiked and enjoyed playing the electric guitar. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands: Clarence “Babe” Duchow (September 23, 1945) and Earl Clemens, one brother: Richard Oemig and a sister: Evelyn Studer.

Elizabeth is survived by her nieces and nephews: Sharon (Richard) Hamann of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Nancy (Joseph) Weinkauf of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, Roger (Lynda) Oemig of Marshfield, Wisconsin, William Studer of Watertown, Wisconsin, and Patricia Studer of Elgin, Illinois, her sister-in-law: Ruth Oemig of Waukesha, Wisconsin along with other relatives and friends.

The funeral celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held Saturday November 15, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. in Waukesha. Rev. Larry Gates will be the officiant. Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery (Golden Lake Cemetery) in the Town of Concord. Wisconsin. Friends may call at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Saturday November 15, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00.

Elizabeth A. “Beth” Coopman

Of Waukesha, the daughter of George and Patricia (nee Hansen) Schakelmann, passed on after a 7 year journey with cancer, that she traveled with determination, humor and courage, on Monday, August 16, 2004 at home at the age of 50 years. Beth was a member of St. William Catholic Church. Beth graduated from F.J. Turner H.S. in 1972 in Beloit, WI. After high school she attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison Hospital and graduated as a radiographer and worked at 20 South Park Clinic in Madison. She then moved to Wausau where she met her husband Tom and then went back to the University of Wisconsin at Madison Hospital where she graduated with a degree in radiation oncology. They moved to Sussex where she and Tom married on July 18, 1980. While living in Sussex, she worked as a radiation therapist at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Beth and Tom started their family in Sussex where Joshua was born and then moved to Marinette in 1983. While living in Marinette she worked as a hospice volunteer for the Marinette-Menominee Hospice. They continued with their family in Marinette and Kelly was born. In 1988, they moved to Baraboo and Beth worked as a teacher’s aide at Fairfield School and volunteered for the Circus World Museum where she gave circus wagon tours and tended to the gardens. After six years in Baraboo, they moved to Waukesha in 1993 where she was a teacher’s aide at Blair Elementary School. Beth enjoyed crafting, selling Langaberger Baskets and woodworking.

Beth’s family extends much love and appreciation to Dr. Chitambar, Dr. Krouwer and the hemoc staff.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Thomas “Tom” her children, Joshua and Kelly Coopman of Waukesha, her sister, Cindy (Gregg) Langemack of Winfield, IL, 2 special nieces, Amy and Lisa Langemack, her mother-in-law, Joyce Coopman of Oconto Falls, WI, special aunt, Sr. Marjorie Schakelmann, numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Funeral Mass for Beth will be on Friday, August 20, 2004 at 10:30 am at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha. Father Leonard Barbian will officiate. The visitation will be on Thursday, August 19, 2004 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha and on Friday at the Funeral Home from 8:30 am until the 10:15 a.m. procession to church. There will be a time to share memories at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society (N19 W24350 Riverwood Dr., Waukesha, WI 53188), the Alzheimer’s Association (6130 National Ave., Suite 200, Milwaukee, WI 53124) or the Angel On My Shoulder (1611 Pine Tree Lane, St. Germain, WI 54588).

Elsie A. DeQuardo
Elsie A. DeQuardo, surrounded by immediate family members at the time of her death, went to heaven on Monday, April 28, 2003. She would have celebrated her 88th birthday on Saturday May 3rd. Elsie was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother all her life.

Born Elsie Alice Ossman on May 3, 1915 in Waukesha, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Otto and Anna (nee Papenfus) Ossman. Elsie and John J. DeQuardo were married on January 28, 1933, and raised a family of two sons (John A. and Donald) and a daughter, Kathleen Margaret. Her beloved husband John J. DeQuardo died on December 26, 1990, and son Donald DeQuardo died June 20, 1937 at age two of meningitis.

Elsie is lovingly remembered by her son, John A. (Karen B.) DeQuardo of Waukesha and daughter, Sister Monica Mary (Kathleen) of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in Manitowoc, Wisconsin; her grandchildren: Dr. John R. (Karen L.) DeQuardo of Beulah, CO; Pamela (Thomas) Butz of Delafield, WI; Jean (Thomas) Smith of Hartland, WI; Kathleen Anne Wilson of Waukesha, WI; Joseph Donald DeQuardo of Waukesha, WI; Barbara (Peter) Stachowski of Genesee, WI. Elsie was the proud great-grandmother of fourteen great-grandchildren: Alyson and Emily DeQuardo; Kenneth & John Butz; Eric, Kyle, Alex, and Andrew Smith; Jennifer and Timothy Wilson; Kirsten and Klaire DeQuardo; and Matthew and Morgan Stachowski. One dear brother, Eugene (Angeline) Ossman of Orangeburg, SC survives; also, sisters-in-law: Lillian Ruth Ossman of Gillette, WI and Frieda Ossman-Mushall of West Allis, WI; and brother-in-law, Harry Leschinger of Madison, WI as well by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elsie lived her last four and a half years-almost to the hour-at Linden Grove Health Care Facility in Waukesha.

Family and friends may call Sunday May 4th, 2003 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday May 5th from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home on Moreland Blvd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday May 5, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (822 N. East Avenue) in Waukesha. Father Aurelio Perez will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha. A parish vigil for Elsie will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday May 4th at the funeral home.

Elmer J. Dittman
Longtime Waukesha resident, Elmer J. Dittman was born to eternal life on Wednesday, August 22, 2001, at Linden Grove Health Care Center at the age of 91 years. He was born on June 19, 1910, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Elmer was a member of St. William Catholic Church. He was retired from the Northview County Home & Hospital. He also worked at Zitron Brothers Packaging House for many years. Elmer was an orphan at the very early age of 4 years and at the age of 12 was placed on a farm where he lived and worked for room and board. Elmer served his country in the Army 101st Airborn and 1st Glidder Infantry. He married his loving wife Harriet on November 16, 1940. Harriet preceded him in death on December 15, 1994. Most important to Elmer in his life were his wife and children.

He is lovingly survived by his children, Lawrence (Sharon) Dittman, Vincent "Stan" (Beverly) Dittman, Dennis (Mary) Dittman and Shirley Pells, all of Waukesha, and Mary (Richard) Hesprich of Dousman. He is the dear grandfather of Larry (Angie) Dittman, Jenny (Ryan) Schweitzer, Ken (Becky) Dittman, Kay (Les) Vertz, Deb (Matt) Fineour, Rich Hesprich, Dave (Paula) Hesprich, Bill Hesprich, Anthony (Brenda) Dittman, Jamie Dittman, Tammy Dittman, Joe Howsley, Andre (Patty) Pells, Nicole Pells, and Hattie (Mike) Jackl. Elmer is the dear great grandfather of Joshua, Katlyn, Alexa, Jessica, Amy, Casandra, Colton, Tanya, Tiffany, Antonio and Andre. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elmer was preceded in death by his wife Harriet, and sisters Lilian, Clara, Norma and Adella, and his brothers Walter and John.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 27, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church. Father Leonard Barbian will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday, August 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, August 27 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home. A parish vigil will be held on Sunday at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha. Masses in Elmer's name are appreciated.

Evelyn R. Griswold
Evelyn R. Griswold, of Waukesha, born on July 4, 1914 in Hartland, WI, the daughter of Phillip and Wilhelmina Haerle, died on Thursday, July 19, 2001 at Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 87 years.

She was a member of St. William Catholic Church. She had a full and happy life with her husband, Willard, and her four sons. In later years she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Playing cards, reading, crocheting and baking were some of her hobbies. She loved nature, especially birds and flowers. She enjoyed her many friends at Summit Woods where she enjoyed participating in the activities. She was cofounder of G&V Machine Company. Her cheerfulness and positive attitude will be missed.

She will be sadly missed by her sons; Bill (Barb), Dennis (Pat), Paul (Ann) and Jerry (Mary Kay) and her sister, Ruth Hellendrung. She also had 10 loving grandchildren and 7 loving great grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, her brothers; Phillip, Henry and Wilbur and her sister, Marion Cullen.

A Mass of thanksgiving is planned Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at 12:00 noon at the St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd.. Father Mark Payne will officiate. A visitation celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday from 10:30 am until time of the Mass. Interment will follow in St. Killian's Cemetery in Hartford. Memorials to the charity of donor's choice would be appreciated.

Edgar A. Lange

Of Waukesha died on Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 80 years. Edgar was born on August 23, 1923 in Ashippun, WI the son of Paul and Selma (nee Jaenicke) Lange. He was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church in West Allis, a member and former president of the German Club known as Pomeranian Ferein Freistadt and enjoyed sharing his love for music by playing the accordion. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth and his three sisters.

Edgar will be sadly missed by his daughter, Catherine (Stanley) Winslow of Waukesha, his two grandsons, Timothy (Kimberly) Moore of Dousman and Gregory (Kathleen) Moore of Waukesha, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service for Edgar will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at 1:00 pm at Reformation Ev. Lutheran Church, S39 W32887 Hwy D, Genesee. Reverend Ralph Scharf and Reverend Thomas Knickelbein from Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church in West Allis will be officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, and also on Wednesday from noon until the time of service at the church. Burial will take place in Salem Cemetery in Wales.

Edward J. Magedanz, Sr.
Edward J. Magedanz, Sr., of Waukesha, died Monday August 18, 2003 at Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha at the age of 72 years. Edward was born November 1, 1930 in Pewaukee a son of the late Edward John and Jessie (Nee Steiner) Magedanz.

He was a charter member of St. William's Catholic Church in Waukesha. He had worked for Gebhardt Brothers Excavating and retired from New Berlin Grading in 1995. He loved his "Big Cat's" bulldozers and enjoyed checking and watching the work that was going on in the local area. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 139. He was an avid bowler, had been active in the Pewaukee Snowmobile Club, liked to play the dollar slots, enjoyed ice fishing and pan fishing, gardening, and enjoyed his trips to Post Lake with his family and friends, and loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Bertha M. (nee Hem) Magedanz on May 14, 1996, his son: Michael in 1975, and two sisters: Mildred Magedanz and Edith Carney.

Edward is survived by his son; Edward (Sandra) Magedanz Jr. of Waukesha, his two grandsons; Kurt and Jeffrey Magedanz of Waukesha, a sister; Lorraine (Clarence) Gerbig of Duplainville, a brother; Donald (Rosemary) Magedanz of Watertown, Wisconsin, a special niece, Clarice (Raymond) Foley of Genesee along with other relatives and friends.

Edward's family would like to thank Dr. Grossklaus and Dr. Davis, the staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and the staff at Linden Grove Health Care Center in Waukesha for their caring and compassionate care.

The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Edward's life will be held Thursday August 21, 2003 at St. William's Catholic Church (440 N. Moreland Blvd.) in Waukesha. Father Leonard Barbian will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Duplainville (City of Pewaukee). Friends may call on Thursday August 21, 2003 at St. William's Catholic Church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass at 7:00. Memorials in Edward's name may be directed to the wishes of the donor.

Edward A. Meier
Longtime Waukesha resident, Edward A. Meier, died Sunday June 2, 2002 at the Linden Grove Health Care Facility in Waukesha at the age of 87 years.

He was born on July 21, 1914 in Dallas, Texas, the son of the late Edward and Henrietta (nee Schacht) Meier. He graduated from Waukesha High School in 1932 and attended Carroll College.

Ed was a Charter Member of Christ The Servant Lutheran Church in Waukesha, and an Associate Member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was a longtime member of the Waukesha Kiwanis Club and the Waukesha Elks Lodge #400. Ed sang in the Waukesha SPEBSQSA Chorus and the Glow-Bo Quartet. He was a partner in the Spring City Concessionairs and operated the concession stands at Buchner Park and Haertel Field. Ed’s interest in his children led to involvement in Blair and Lawrence School P.T.A. fundraisers and promoting sports and Boy Scouting at Lawrence School.

His success as an industrial salesperson led to his founding Waukesha Industrial Supply in 1964.

He is the beloved husband of Lucille (nee Hadrian), whom he married on October 30, 1937. He is the dear father Dean (Mary Jo) Meier of Waukesha and Rietta (Richard) Hendrickson of Oshkosh, WI. He is the loving grandfather of Tom (Jen) Hendrickson, Kristi (Ken) Frye, and Mark and Maureen Meier. Also surviving are nephews David (Billie) Oravez and Greg (Pat) Meier, and a niece Cathy (Hank) Browne. Ed is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Guilbert Meier.

A memorial service will be held Saturday June 8, 2002, at 11:30 a.m. at Christ The Servant Lutheran Church (W250 S635 Center Road, Waukesha) The Rev. Richard Engen will be the officiant. Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christ The Servant Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
