Huston M. Broyles, 86, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, October 11, 2003 in his home.

He was born November 1, 1916 in Winfield, MO, the son of O.H. and Mary Rubrock Broyles. Huston married Marian K. Enger on August 17, 1937 in Kahoka, MO.

Huston was employed by J.I. Case, Beloit Corporation and Barber Coleman, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Second Congregational Church serving as a past deacon and trustee for the church.

Survivors include his wife, Marian; two children, James Broyles of Beloit, WI and Kathleen (Doug) Cashion of Janesville, WI; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one niece, Patricia Becker of St. Louis, Mo.

Huston will be very much missed by his family.

He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Lucy Scheibe.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Rob Brink officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services Friday in the funeral home.

Margaret M. Bonomo, 83, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, September 26, 2003 in Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born November 24, 1919 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Glenn and Nellie (Elmer) Stocker Sr. Margaret was a 1937 graduate of Blanchardville High School. She married Jack J. Bonomo on August 21, 1939 in Dubuque, IA. He predeceased her on July 7, 1992. Margaret was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and collecting teddy bears.
Survivors include her son, Jon Jeffrey Bonomo of Beloit, WI; two granddaughters, Mary Margaret Bonomo and Jennifer Anne Bonomo both of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Charles (Gerry) Stocker of Beloit, WI, and Glenn Stocker Jr. of Rockford, IL; two sisters-in-law, Joann Stocker and Marybelle Naugle both of Beloit, WI; one brother-in-law, Carmelo (Ruth) Bonomo of Janesville, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters, Kathryn Douglas, Elizabeth Vick, and Joyce Stocker, two brothers, Herbert Stocker and Robert Naugle.

Private graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2003 in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, IL, with Deacon Robert Crandall officiating. There will be no visitation.
Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be given in her name to the American Heart Association.

CAROLYN F. BROOKS, 80, of Janesville, WI, died Tuesday, September 2, 2003 in Rock County Health Care Center, Janesville, WI.

She was born on November 8, 1922 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Franklin and Daisy Buckridge Hobart. Carolyn married Walter Brooks on September 5, 1943. He predeceased her on September 6, 1972.

Survivors include her daughters, Alice (Larry) Goodrich of Beloit, WI and Carolyn (Roger) Hollingshead, Wanship, UT; four grandchildren, Carrie Goodrich of Racine, WI, Katherine (Matthew) Randall of Beloit, WI, Kurt (Hillary) Hales of Great Falls, MT, and Craig (Teresa) Hales of Guam; six great grandchildren

She is predeceased by her parents.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2003 in East Lawn Cemetery, Beloit, WI. The will be no visitation. Daley-Murphy-Wisch Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family.

ROSE M. BADALUCCO, 86, of South Beloit, IL, died Monday, September 1, 2003 in Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A lifelong South Beloit resident, she was born June 13, 1917, in South Beloit, IL, the daughter of Paul and Rose Barraco Badalucco. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School in Rockford, IL, and South Beloit High School. She was formerly employed by Freeman Shoe Company for 47 years, retiring in 1982.

Rose was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the church Altar and Rosary Society, the Freeman 20-Year Club and the Italian American Club.

Survivors include many cousins in Beloit, Rockford, IL and Detroit, MI.

Rose will always be remembered for her kindness, friendship and generosity.

She was predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Lillian Badalucco.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2003in St. Peter Catholic Church, South Beloit, IL, with Msgr. Thomas C. Brady officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum, Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with a rosary to be recited at 5:00p.m..

KATHLEEN PATRICIA BRADY, 56, of South Beloit, IL, died Sunday, August 10, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident.

She was born March 16, 1947 in Kilcoo, Castlewellan, County Down, North of Ireland, the daughter of William and Catherine Darby Kane. Patricia married Gerald J. Brady on October 12, 1971 in Bryansford, Newcastle, County Down. He predeceased her on August 10, 2003.

Patricia was employed by the Highview in the Woodlands Retirement Community. She was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Society and St. Peter Catholic Church.

Survivors include her three sons, Alphonsus Brady of Coralville, IA, Ruairi Brady and Michael Brady both of South Beloit. IL; her mother, Catherine Kane of Castlewellan, County Down, North of Ireland; five sisters, Mary (Joe) Morgan of Leitrim, County Down, Bridget (James) Smyth of Ardglass, County Down, Bernie (Gerard) McAlinden, Anne Kane both of Castlewellan, County Down and Stephan Kane of Calgary, Canada.

She was predeceased by her father.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2003 in St. Peter Catholic Church with the Msgr. Thomas C. Brady officiating. Burial will be in Castlewellan, County Down North of Ireland. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

GERALD J. BRADY, 53, of South Beloit, IL, died Sunday, August 10, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born May 19, 1950 in Rathfriland, Newry, County Down North of Ireland, the son of Patrick Edward and Elizabeth Butterfield Brady. Gerald married Patricia Kane on October 12, 1971 in Bryansford, Newcastle, County Down. She predeceased him on August 10, 2003.

Gerald was as Industrial electrician. He was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Society and St. Peter Catholic Church.

Survivors include his three sons, Alphonsus Brady of Coralville, IA, Ruairi Brady and Michael Brady both of South Beloit, IL; one brother, Ted Brady of Kentucky; cousins, Eamonn Brady and family of Mayobridge, County Down, and Maureen (Jimmy) Garrett and family of Oak Lawn, IL.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2003 in St. Peter Catholic Church with the Msgr. Thomas C. Brady officiating. Burial will be in Castlewellan, County Down North of Ireland. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

WALTER H. BENNETT, 80, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, August 9, 2003 at Beloit Health and
Rehabilitation Center, Beloit, WI.

He was born on February 8, 1923 in West Townsend, Ma, the son of Walter and Harriett Martin Bennett Sr.

Walter married Hazel Hansberry on October 24, 1947 in Beloit WI. He was employed by the Beloit Corporation retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Beloit Corporation Quarter Century Club.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Hazel; four children: Sarah (Roger Sr.) Bradley of Beloit, WI, Steven (Donna) Bennett of Shell Lake, WI, Keith Bennett Sr. of Argyle, WI, Kathleen (Alan) Hertz of Middleburg, FL; 10 grandchildren: Roger Bradley Jr., Tina Rudnitzki, Randy Bradley, Todd Bradley, Ross Bradley, Michael Bennett, Kelly Bennett, Keith Bennett Jr, Eddie Bennett and Justine Clark; nine great grandchildren, Alexa Bradley, Clover Bradley, Roger Bradley III, Jacob Rudnitzki, Caleb Rudnitzki, Sirena Bradley, Erik Bennett, Zachary Bennett and Amanda Jo Williams.

He was predeceased by his parents, siblings, Ruth, Helen, Frances, Gordon, Irene, Stella, Frank, Rachel, Alvin, Agnes and Harriet; a great grandson, James Bradley; a daughter-in-law Kathryn Bennett.

CLAUDE DEAN BLOUNT, 35, of Beloit, WI, and formerly of Chicago, IL, was called to rest on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 14, 1968 in Chicago, IL, the son of Jewel Blount and Earl Irby. Claude attended Paul Robeson High School. He received Christ at the early age of 10 at Rain or Shine M.B. Church in Chicago, IL. In 1993 Claude became a resident of Beloit, WI. He was employed by the Holiday Inn in South Beloit, IL.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Theresa Marie Blount, two step daughters, Crystal Campbell, and Arkisha Toles; two grandchildren, Nii N. Toles and Keevin Handley; seven sisters, Geni Clark, Evelyn Payton, Jewel A. Blount, Delores (Robert) Jones, Theresa (Willie J.) Johnson, Marjorie (Corvell) Anderson, and Connie (Edward Shackelford) Blount; one brother, Earl Blount; one aunt, Catherine (Charles) Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; two special friends, Kristopher Scott and Bernard Isabelle.

Deanie you fought a strong fight, you told me you were going home, you are at peace now with no more pain. Your wife and family will always love you and keep you near.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m.Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
