Maynard 'Peter' Wittock
Maynard 'Peter' Wittock, 77, Oconto died suddenly Saturday, November 11, 2000 at his home. He was born on March 15, 1923 in Oconto to the late Peter and Mayme Messenger Wittock. Together Peter and his father owned and operated a sawmill in the Oconto area for many years. Survivors include distant relatives and many friends. There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, November 15, at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery in Oconto with the Rev. William Bippus officiating. Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Oconto assisting with arrangements.

Lloyd H. Paluch
Lloyd H. Paluch, 75, 1111 Lingelbach Place, Oconto died peacefully at the home of his daughter, Lisa, in Green Bay, surrounded by his family. Lloyd was born May 19, 1925 at Pulaski to the late John and Katherine Gerczak Paluch. He drove truck for Louie Altschuler until retiring in 1987. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto. Lloyd was an avid Packer fan and sports fan. He played softball until his 57th birthday. He coached Little League and Girls Softball Teams. Survivors include his wife Doris 'Tootie'; four daughters, Kathleen Victor Lang, Appleton; Debbie Roger Lemirande, Lena; Pam Mike Zdzieblowski, Little Suamico; Lisa Paluch, Green Bay; two sons, Joe Jan, Oconto; Jim Teresa Paluch, Oconto; two brothers, Jules Arlene Paluch, Oconto; Alex Blanche Paluch, Green Bay; three granddaughters; and six grandsons who acted as pallbearers. Lloyd was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Jr.; two brothers, Bernard and Andy. Friends called on Monday at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto where a wake service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Parish, with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by the American Legion.

Irene Knutson
Irene M. Knutson, 86, a Green Bay resident, went to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 6, 2000. She was born on May 3, 1914 to the late Joseph Sr. and Mary Pirlot Boucher in Thiry Daems. She married Norbert Hucek on April 25, 1934. He preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1950. Irene married Herbert Knutson and together enjoyed 48 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on Feb. 4, 2000.Irene ran Hucek"s Tavern in Algoma from 1938 until 1951. She was employed by Julie Ann Fabrics in Green Bay and later by Lakeland High School, Minocqua, in the cafeteria, until her retirement. Irene was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years in Algoma and Minocqua and was a member and president of the Altar Society at St. Mary"s Church in Algoma. Survivors include her sons and daughters, Robert C. Nancy Knutson, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Dale J. Laureen Knutson, Brookfield; Gail Larry Cunningham, Popple River; Joan Ed Monfils, Green Bay; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Detempel, Algoma; Alice DePas, Luxemburg; and Eunice Laurent, Casco; many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Thomas Monfils and Chuckie Cunningham; 11 brothers and sisters. Friends called at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, Green Bay, from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, and after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Mass of Christian Burial was at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, Green Bay, with the Rev. Jim Hablewitz officiating. Burial was in St. Mary"s Church Cemetery, Algoma.

Clara Ihlenfeld (Mrs. Ray)
Clara Ihlenfeld (Mrs. Ray), 84, Montpelier, died unexpectedly at her home, Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000.She was born in Maribel on March 7, 1916, to the late Albert and Emilia Kohn Kasten. On Oct. 26, 1937, Clara married Raymond Ihlenfeld at St. John Lutheran Church, Maribel. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier.Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Raymond; one son and daughter-in-law, Maynard and Verni Ihlenfeld, Luxemburg; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Marlene and Milroy Doell, Luxemburg; Donna and Roy Post, Maribel; 11 grandchildren, Scott Tammy Post, Steve Rachel Post, David Lorraine Doell, Brian Dawn Doell, Doug Cindy Doell, Sue Jim Heim, Jim Robin Doell, Joel Kim Doell, Lori Craig Buss, Colin Debbie Ihlenfeld, Sarah Mike Cherovsky; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Raymond and Sylvia Kasten, Manitowoc; August and Shirley Kasten, Ocola, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Raymond Kratz, Luxemburg. Clara was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Beata and Walter Gauger, Ruth and Ewald Duescher and Selma Kasten; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Herbert and Norma Kasten, Fred and Malvina Kasten and Paul Kasten. Friends called at the McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Montpelier. Prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. A.E. Batiansila officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Bernadine E. Kaczmarek
Bernadine E. Kaczmarek, 64, of 831 Louisiana St., Sturgeon Bay, passed away early Tuesday morning, Oct. 31, 2000 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay. She was born July 14, 1936, in the town of Lincoln, the daughter of the late Nelson and Bernadette Fameree Delfosse. She graduated from Algoma High School in 1954. Bernadine was employed at Algoma Net Co. until her marriage to Joseph T. Kaczmarek on May 18, 1957, at St. Mary"s Catholic Church in Algoma. She then worked at Sturgeon Bay Shoe Factory. For 23 years she was employed at Door County Memorial Hospital as a pharmacy technician until her retirement. She was a member of St. Joseph"s Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers Society. Bernadine loved spending time with her family. She also loved their cabin in northern Wisconsin, along with gardening. Survivors include her husband, Joseph, of Sturgeon Bay; four children, Christine Dale Christianson of Sturgeon Bay, Thomas Jean Kaczmarek of Sturgeon Bay, Susan David Zernicke of Pulaski, Karen Patrick Lamirande of Green Bay; three grandchildren, Amy, Matthew, Sarah; two sisters, Elaine C. Richard Henckel of Sheboygan, Germaine Donald Routhieaux of Sturgeon Bay. Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph"s Catholic Church, Sturgeon Bay, with Rev. Charles Mocco, pastor, officiating. Entombment followed at St. Joseph"s Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2, at Davis Mortuary, Sturgeon Bay, and at the church on Friday, Nov. 3, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. A Christian Mothers Rosary was held at 4 p.m. and a parish wake at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Davis Mortuary.
A memorial fund had been established in her name.

Larry LaCasse
Larry LaCasse, 75, Suring formerly Cudahy, died November 5, 2000 following a short illness. He was born May 25, 1925 in Marquette, Michigan and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He married Audrey Lewandowski October 20, 1951 at Holy Family Church in Cudahy. Following years of employment at Ladish as a machinist the couple moved to Suring in 1973. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Suring. Survivors include his wife Audrey of Suring; a daughter, Christine (Brian) Ireland of Cudahy; a brother, Michael LaCasse of Oak Creek; a sister, Floreda (Leonard) Behmke of Milwaukee; two brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held at Nativity of the Lord Church in Cudahy on Thursday, November 9 from 11 a.m. until funeral services 12 noon with Father Terrance Huebner officiating. Burial in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Cudahy. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home, Suring, WI in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Troy M. Haines, 77, Waukegan, IL and Lena died at the V. A. Medical Center in North Chicago, IL. Mr. Haines was born March 27, 1922 in Galesburg, IL the son of the late John and Ethel Quinlin Haines. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the 91st Division, 916th Field Artillery in Italy. He received two Purple Hearts, a Service Stripe, two Overseas Service Bars, American Campaign, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and a World War II Victory Medal. Troy was a Master Bricklayer by trade and was known for riding his motorcycle year round for many years, come snow, rain, or shine. Surviving are three sons, Dwayne Diane Haines, Oconto; Shane Suzanne Haines, Green Bay; Troy R. Jeannette Haines, Beach Park, IL; a daughter Debra Cory Albers, Abrams; eight grandchildren. Graveside Prayers and the Rite of Committal will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2000 at Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto. The Rev. Fr. David C. Ruby officiating. Military rites will follow by the Jones-Modrow-Young American Legion Post. Ackerman Funeral Directors, Oconto are assisting the family. Raymond B. Ackerman, Jr. Funeral Director.

Berdine Zoeller
Berdine Zoeller, 76, of 1038 McDonald St., Oconto died November 4, 2000 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center. Berdine was born May 23, 1924 in the Town of Morgan to the late Edward and Etta Huebscher Krueger. Her parents died when she was six years old and she was raised by Frank and Henrietta Seidl; they also preceded her in death. She worked at Gillett Plywood, Bond Food co. and Elliott glove Co., Oconto. Survivors include her husband Roland; three daughters, Sandra Timper-Samsa; Susan Alan Caelwaerts; Cynthia Michael pecor all of Oconto; two sisters, Erma Rasmussen, Oconto; Lucille LaViolette, Oconto; two brothers, Curtis Shirley Seidl, Manitowoc; Dr. Alton Seidl, Bradford, CT; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Emerald and Edward, and a sister, Gerna Hackleberg. Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral service was 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Schut officiating. Burial at Brookside Cemetery.

Martha Morris
Martha Morris, 82, of 420 Milwaukee Ave., Oconto Falls, died Tuesday October 31, 2000 at Sharpe Care Ltd., Oconto Falls. Martha was born March 7, 1918 in the Town of Little River to the late Louis and Agnes Modschiedler Smith. She married Peter Netzer in 1939, and later married Merle C. Morris in 1975. Merle preceded her in death on July 4, 1991. Martha was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena; Altar Society and Golden Age Club. She did volunteer work at Senior Citizens Center and at Sharpe Care Ltd. in Oconto Falls and also assisted with Meals On Wheels. Martha is survived by her first husband, Peter Netzer; four daughters, Sandy Roger Lentz, Coleman; Nancy Tony Korte, Georgetown, IN; Pat Jenquine, Kiel; Debi Gene Jenquine, Abrams; four sons, Kenneth Yvonne Netzer, St. Nazianz; Bruce Jan Netzer, Lena; Richard Linda Netzer, Lena; Dennis Netzer, Lena; two brothers, Earl Donna Schmit, Oconto; Eugene Schmit, Oconto; two brothers-in-law, Jack Bergner, Pulcifer; Joe Daul, Oconto; fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; many stepchildren and stepgrand and great-grandchildren from the west coast. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy; one infant son, Gary; two sisters, Bertha Daul, Jenny Bergner; two brothers, Robert Schmit and Howard Schmit. The family received relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeal Home, Oconto. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, November 3, 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Lena with the Rev. Frank Schrage officiating. Burial at St. Charles Cemetery, Lena.
