EVA DICKSON, 97, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, March 7, 2003 in Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born December 6, 1905 in Warrens, WI, the daughter of John and Caroline Scott McLain. Eva was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She married Charles A. Dickson on October 30, 1945 in Youngstown, OH. He predeceased her on December 31, 1984.

Eva was employed by Freeman Shoe Company and the Beloit Daily News. She was a member of the American Legion in Minong, WI, and a member of Atonement Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her one sister, Alta Hefferman of Lakeside, CA; three nephews, Donald (Charlene) Tolmie of Beloit, WI, Charles Kissling of Beloit, WI, and Lyle (Jean) McLain of Milton, WI; two nieces, Billie Jean (Ray) Allen of De Soto, WI, and Karen (John) West of Beloit, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Esther Kempf and Leila Kissling, two brothers, James and Gilbert McLain, and two nephews, Robert Tolmie and James Smith.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI with the Reverend Timothy Heinecke officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to Atonement Lutheran Church.

Alice Everill, 99, of Beloit, WI, died Monday, March 14, 2005 in Pioneer Court, Beloit, WI. She was the wife of the late Royal B. Everill, former principal of Beloit Memorial and Lincoln Junior High Schools and a teacher at Roosevelt Junior High School.

A lifelong resident of Beloit, she was born October 3, 1905 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Henry E. and Mattie Nelson Grenawalt. Alice graduated from Beloit Public Schools and Whitewater State Normal. She married Royal B. Everill August 27, 1927. He predeceased her on April 24, 1969.

Alice taught at Royce and Cunningham Grade Schools and was an office assistant at Fairbanks Morse and Company in her early years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church serving as a member of the Board of Deaconess's, Sunday school teacher, Women's Fellowship Guild, choir, Meeting House Quilters, Prayer Chain and WITS group. Alice was active in the GFWC Beloit Federation of Women for over 60 years and served as president from 1960 until 1962, member of the GFWC-WFWC First District, Wisconsin and General Federation of Women's Clubs. She was the past president of the Fine Arts Club, member of Beloit Historical Society, life member of friends of the Beloit Public Library, PEO Chapter DB, Beloit Area Retired Educators Association (BAREA), National Retired Teachers Association (NRTA), and the Beloit Memorial and Junior High School Hi-Wives groups. She was active in Masonic organizations including life member of the Evening Star Chapter #77, Phoenix Chapter #215 Order of the Eastern Star, life member of Palestine Shrine #3, White Shrine of Jerusalem, member of Zion Shrine #15, Commandery No. 6 KT Auxiliary, Sorella and Wimodasis. Alice was active in PTA, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.

Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis (Albert) Winegar of Austin, TX; son, Charles H. (Martha) Everill of Greenwood Village, CO; daughter-in-law, Sandra Everill of Rochester Hills, MI; nine grandchildren, Dr. Bradford (Stacy) Winegar of Austin, TX, Steven (Patricia) Winegar of Western Springs, IL, Kathleen (Keith) Johnson of Dunwoody, GA, Kristine Young of Dunwoody, GA, Holly Everill of Stoughton, WI, Jeanne Everill of Clawson, MI, Susan Everill of Whitemore Lake, MI, Charles (Heather) Everill Jr. of Littleton, CO, and Sarah Everill of Carbondale, CO; 12 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Royal B. Everill Jr., parents and brother, Russell Grenawalt.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2005 in the First Congregational Church with the Reverend Shawn Stapleton officiating. Alice's family will greet friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to the First Congregational Church, Beloit Historical Society or the Beloit Memorial High School Alumni Fund.

Andrew Erickson, 87, of Beloit, WI, died Monday, February 28, 2005 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 3, 1918 in Clinton, WI, the son of Christian and Bertha Jinkerson Erickson. Andrew was a graduate of Clinton High School. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army serving five years in the Philippines when the war broke out. Andrew married Marie Marshall on October 1, 1949 in Rockton, IL.

Andrew was employed over 37 years in the lumber business working for Strasburg Lumber and Carter Lumber and Fuel. He later worked for Beloit Memorial High School as a custodian, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed playing the accordion. Andrew was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Marie of Beloit, WI; special niece and nephew Nancy and Ken Russell; sisters-in-law, Frances Lamb (companion, George Sholes) of Beloit, WI, Nana Hogan of Wisconsin Dells, WI and Cecilia Marshall of Beloit, WI; brother-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Marshall of Florida; beloved companion, Chubbie.

He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and brother-in-law, Don Marshall.

Funeral services will be 10:30 Friday, March 4, 2005 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Erik Jelinek officiating. Burial will be in the Veterans Section of East Lawn Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by the V.F.W. Post #2306. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Elizabeth Ellen Wasson Erickson, 78, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, December 26, 2004 in Beloit Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born January 5, 1926 in Crandon, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Ada (Duller) Arrowood. She attended Janesville High School. She married Robert Elsworth Wasson on January 2, 1947 in Escanaba, MI. He predeceased her in May 16, 1974. Elizabeth later married Edwin Erickson on April 13, 1979 in Rockton, IL. He predeceased her on November 28, 1988.

Elizabeth was employed by the Beloit City Transit, Norwood Mills and Kmart. She was a member of Judson Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Robert (Ruth) Wasson of Janesville, WI and Rita (Dan) Wojszynski of Beloit, WI; six grandchildren, Chris (Stephanie) Wasson, Corrinna Tracy, Nat Wasson, Carrie (Joe) Gerber, Tracy (Barry) McGuire and Kim Wojszynski; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred (Eugene) Hergert of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Joanne Grove of Illinois, and Judy (Ozzie) York of Waukesha, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Richard (Lillian) Arrowood and George (Virginia) Arrowood, one sister, Alice Shaw, and one great grandson, Gregiore Peter Wasson-Richardson.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2005 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Michael Dillard officiating. Burial will be in the town of Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Judson Memorial Baptist Church 3160 Park Avenue, Beloit, WI 53511.

Paola Ennocenti, 72, of Beloit, WI, died Monday, December 20, 2004 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born December 19, 1932 in Messina, Italy the daughter of Giovanni and Vera Volli Pugliatti. Paola married Arnold R. Ennocenti on July 11, 1971 in Beloit, WI. She was employed at Weises as a Professional Seamstress and later became self employed until her retirement in 2000. Paola enjoyed knitting, baking, sewing and fishing.

Survivors include her husband, Arnold of Beloit, WI; daughter, Lisa Fimmano of Beloit, WI; sister, Lina Mannino of Rockton, IL; nephew, Joseph (Denise) Mannino of Haymarket, VA; nieces, Tricia (Jim) Champlin of Beloit, WI and Karla Mannino of Chicago, IL.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Steven Mannino.

Special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Gold, Beloit Memorial Hospital staff, Beloit Hospice and Beloit Home Companion Registry.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI 53511 with Father Gary Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be held at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Prayers at 6:00 p.m.

Avis L. Ellingson, 87, of Clinton, WI, died Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in Rock Haven Nursing Home, Janesville, WI.

She was born May 27, 1917 in Hillsboro, WI, the daughter of John and Bertha Schwargt Summerfield. Avis attended the Beloit School system. She married Tosten Ellingson on April 23, 1944 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on August 11, 2001.

Survivors include her children, Kathy Brown of Beloit, WI, Tosten (Kay) Ellingson Jr. of Harvard, IL and Marilee (Walter) Bancroft of Janesville, WI; grandchildren, Bridget Brown, Theresa (Travis) Wyldes, Emillee Savaiano, Jared (Carolynn) Bancroft and Michelle Bancroft; six great grandchildren, Tyler and Tricia Wyldes, Alexis and Kaylyn Brown, Dylan Hagans and Blake Bancroft ; one sister, Grace Olstead; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, son, Elling John Ellingson; grandchild, Walter Bancroft III and one brother, Kenneth Summerfield.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2004 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Tom Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to Pella Lutheran Church.

Allen 'Al' G. Erickson, 54, of Beloit, WI, formerly of Stoughton, WI, died Saturday, November 13, 2004 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 30, 1950 in Chicago, IL, the son of Alfred B. and Morfudd 'Betty' E. Edwards Erickson. Al was a 1968 graduate of Wheeling High School in Wheeling, IL. He married Aldine Hartgers on April 12, 1969 in Wheeling, IL.

Al was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Stoughton, WI and a steward of BEW Local Union #965. He was employed by Alliant Energy. Al loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan, enjoyed playing baseball, camping and visiting his favorite place, Maui, Hawaii.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Aldine; daughters, Cheryl (Jeffrey) Gahan of Stoughton, WI and Laura (Adam) Knaub of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Benjamin and Abigail Gahan, Paige and Tyler Knaub; sister, Betty (William) Walter of Beloit, WI; brother, Lee (Laura) Erickson of Beloit, WI; nieces and nephews, Amy (Ken) Hildebrandt of South Beloit, IL, Steven Walter of Darien, WI and Sarah (Tom) Cary of Allens Grove, WI.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Scott-Geister Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Sheila Madaline Esch, 85, of South Beloit, IL, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 in her home.

She was born April 10, 1919 in Richland County, WI, the daughter of Henry and Goldie Hazel Osborne Brockman. Sheila married William Esch on January 25, 1941 in St. Jude Catholic Church. He predeceased her on May 10, 2000. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she was active in many activities like the Altar and Rosary Society, bingo, funeral luncheons, adoration chapel and money counter.

Survivors include her two loving sisters, Darlene Bennington of South Beloit, IL and Doloris (Howard) Millner of South Beloit, IL; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Brockman of South Beloit, IL and Gladys Brockman of Brodhead, WI; very special friends, Ed and Linnea Van Barriger of Rockton, IL; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and three brothers, Berwyn Brockman, Herschel Brockman and Fred Brockman, special friend, Fr. Carlos Hoffner.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2004 in St. Peter Catholic Church, South Beloit, IL, with Msgr. Thomas Brady officiating and Fr. Jerome Koutnick co-officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Rosary at 5:45 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Thursday in the church.

Memorials may be given in her name to Beloit Regional Hospice.
