Pearle B. Erickson, 88, of Clinton, WI, died Saturday, October 2, 2004 in Meadow Park Nursing Home, Clinton, WI.

She was born on December 7, 1915 in Winnebago County, IL, the daughter of Einar and Inga Hansen Erickson. Pearle was a 1932 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School.

Pearle was employed for 35 years as an executive secretary to the district attorney of Milwaukee County, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Milwaukee County Legal Secretaries Association, Milwaukee Area Society for Public Administration, Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Sarah Circle, American Association of retired persons, Senior Advantage and was a volunteer at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her nephew, Ron (Le) Amerson of Sun Prairie, WI; sister-in-law, Virginia Erickson of Beloit, WI; nephew, Jim (Cathy) Erickson of Beloit, WI; cousins, Mary (Bob) Newport and Anna Ralston both of Belvidere, IL.

She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Les Erickson, sister, Mae Amerson and nephew, Richard Amerson.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2004 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Jennifer Jelinek officiating. Burial was held in East Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to Hospice Care 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.

Bernice 'Bea' Eddy, 78, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, September 8, 2004 in St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee, WI.

She was born May 2, 1926 in Dekalb, IL, the daughter of Roy and Mary VanDeusen McDaniels. Bea married George Leonard Eddy Jr. on December 27, 1948 in Chicago, IL. He predeceased her on November 13, 1975.

Bea and her husband owned and operated the Chemung Restaurant from 1952 until 1954 and Eddy's Restaurant in Big Foot, IL from 1960 until 1965. She later went to work for Harvard Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1988. Bea was a member of the Women of the Moose in Harvard, IL.

Survivors include her son, Nick (Nancy) Eddy of Beloit, WI; daughter, Georgia (Jim Tombough) Eddy of Tucson, AZ; granddaughter, Julie Eddy of Janesville, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2004 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Norman Starks officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to the Breast Cancer Foundation.

Myron J. Ewers, 59, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the University Hospital in Madison, WI, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He was born May 23, 1945 in Readstown, WI the son of Virgil and Madeline Sime Ewers. Myron married Irene L. Scott on October 14, 1967 in the Peoples Church in Beloit, WI.

He worked for the Viroqua Sheriff's Department as a Deputy, then from 1973-1974 as the Police Chief at Readstown, WI. Myron also worked for the Beloit Corporation for 20 years and was currently employed by Beloit Special Machine since 1990 as a truck driver. He was a former member of the Beloit Eagles Club, avid Packer and NASCAR fan, and enjoyed playing cards. Myron loved restoring tractors and his 1962 Chevy Impala. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Readstown, WI. Myron especially loved his six grandchildren which he lovingly referred to them as his 6-pak.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years Irene, his children, Michael R. (fianc'e Tanya Jones) Ewers of Beloit, WI, Rhonda Sue (Rodney McDaniels) Ewers of Beloit, WI; grandsons, Mitchell John Ewers , Travis Ray Ewers and Nikolus Keith Ewers; granddaughters, Shelby Ashley Harold, Amber Nicole Harold, Ashley Nicole McDaniels, brother, Conrad (Mary) Ewers of Richland Center, WI; sisters, Betty (Kenneth) Anderson of Readstown, WI, Allana George of Soldiers Grove, WI, Janice (Charles) Beranek of La Crosse, WI, Sonjia 'Sue' Auseman of Viroqua, WI and Virgie (Chris) Jochum of Racine, WI; aunts, Mabel Jacobson of Viroqua, WI, Genevieve Terhume of Readstown, WI; and a very special dog, Snapper.

He was predeceased by his parents, and three brothers, Kenneth, Steven and Ronald.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Gold, Dr. Vogel, all the nurses and staff at Beloit Memorial Hospital and Beloit Clinic. A very heart felt thank you to Beloit Special Machine for everything they did for Myron and his family.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004 at the Pella Lutheran Church, Clinton, WI, with the Reverend Richard Hyman officiating. Burial will be at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2004 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

Steven R. 'Fuzz' Eichman, 54, of Appleton, WI, died Saturday, July 3, 2004 in Theda Clark Hospital, Neenah, WI.

He was born August 29, 1949 in Beloit, WI, the son of Roman J. and Catherine L. DeGeorge Eichman. Steven was a 1967 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School and received a Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. Steven married Suzanne Showers in 1973 in Beloit, WI. She predeceased him in 1977.

Steven was an engineer and worked as an independent contractor in Appleton, WI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cabinet making and taxidermy. Steven was recently working on his recertification to teach again in Wisconsin.

Survivors include his son, Zach Townsend of Edgerton, WI; sisters, Connie (Jere) Crouse of Beloit, WI and Susan Parcell of Chicago, IL; brother, James L. (Kathy) Eichman of Tucson, AZ; nieces, Julie Christiansen-Grice of Beloit, WI and Jennifer (Robert) Eichman-Harbison of Ypsilanti, MI; nephews, Daniel Christiansen of Roscoe, IL, Mark Crouse of Milton, WI and John Eichman of Tucson, AZ

He was predeceased by his parents.

Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will also be held at 2:00 p.m. August 29, 2004 in Steven's home in Appleton, WI.

George H. Erlandson, 90, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, June 19, 2004 in the New Glarus Health Care Center.

He was born July 8, 1913 in Luther Valley, Newark Township, WI, the son of John and Helma Ilsaas Erlandson. George was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He married Maude Ellsworth on December 17, 1938 in Beloit, WI. She predeceased him on July 30, 2003.

George was employed by F.M. & Company and Warner Electric, retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Diana (Al) Grube of Verona, WI and Pamela Stewart of Cedarville, IL; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, four sisters and one daughter, Judy.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2004 in St. Thomas Catholic Church, 824 E. Grand Avenue, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Jim Kuhn officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Monroe Hospice in his memory.

Jan Evenson, 80, a long time resident of Beloit peacefully found eternal happiness on Friday, June 18, 2004.

She was born on February 25, 1924 in Nekoosa, WI, the daughter of Frank and Ethel Rounds Wrysinski. On August 31, 1946, Jan was joined in marriage to the love of her life, Don Evenson.

Jan was a cosmetologist in the Beloit area for many years. She also was employed by Beloit Corporation. In her spare time, Jan loved to knit and crochet. Jan and Don were very active participants in the Beloit Community for over 50 years, especially with the music, educational, and athletic programs of Brother Dutton and Beloit Catholic High Schools. They have been and Don will continue to be active in the Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church. Being avid square dancers Jan and Don were instrumental in establishing and were joint presidents of the Beloit Square Dance Club.

Jan is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Don; her daughters, Marcia Bergeson of Waukesha, WI and Karla (John) Washa of McFarland, WI; her grandchildren, Kendall (Japh) Rauscher of Davis, CA, Dana Bergeson of San Diego, CA, Russ Bergeson of Waukesha, WI, Chris and Jason Washa of Milwaukee, WI; two great grandchildren, Shaila and Kai Rauscher; Jan is also survived by her sister-in-law, Arlene Murphy; her nieces and nephews who were always willing to do anything to help aunt Jan, John Murphy, Jerry (Roberta) Murphy, Tom (Pat) Murphy, Janice (John) Fahey, Mary Beth (Bob) Mack, Jane (Will) Whitten, Judy and Kristie Wrysinski.

Jan was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Leonard.

Jan spent the last year and half as a resident of the Encore Care Facility in Beloit. Words cannot express how deeply thankful Jan's family are that Jan was given such magnificent care from all the staff at Encore. Melissa and all of her staff made Jan's last years a joyous remembrance. The love and compassion shown to both Jan and Don was like having an extended family.

A special thanks is given to Gina Sorenson, a social worker for Rock County Human Services for more then 5 years of support and advice both professionally and personally that she gave to Jan's family.

Prayer services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church with the Msgr. Terry Connors officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with a 5:00 p.m. scripture service.

Memorials may be given in her name to Beloit Regional Hospice or the building fund for Our Lady Of The Assumption Catholic Church.

Myrtle Engebretsen, 86, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, April 9, 2004 at Haven House in Janesville, WI.

She was born July 18, 1917 in Decatur Township in Green County. Myrtle was the daughter of John and Nettie Hoff Anderson. She married Ira B. Engebretsen on December 26, 1937 in Orfordville, WI. He predeceased her on November 24, 1998.

Survivors include her sons, Richard D. (Ellen) Engebretsen of Montrose, CO; Lewis J. (Jennifer) Engebretsen of Greenfield, WI; daughter, Sharon K. (Richard) Hodge of Edgerton, WI; four grandchildren, Dawn (Greg) Vertein, Christal (Lyle Volden) Engebretsen, Erik (Kristen) Engebretsen and Tera (Chap) Leffingwell; four great granddaughters, Tessa Engebretsen-Mielke, Brenna Vertein, Lauren Leffingwell, and Keilani Engebretsen; three great grandsons, David Budres; Nicholas Vertein and C.J. Leffingwell; former daughter-in-law, Joanne Nordeng; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Four brothers, Louis, Oscar, Benert and Gilman Anderson; granddaughter, Gwen Engebretsen; stepsister Josie Fowler, stepbrother Arti Anderson, and special friend Orville Thostenson predeceased her.

Memorials may be given in her name to the UW Hospital, Comprehensive Cancer Center, Attn: Ann Johnson, Room K4-658, 600 Highland Ave., Madison, WI 53792

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday April 14, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Pastor Jim Koza officiating. Burial will be in the Baldwin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday in the funeral home.

Myrtle M. Endl, 83 of Beloit, WI died Saturday, March 13, 2004 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born January 30, 1921 in Lake Mills, WI, the daughter of Paul and Hazel Skelton Wolff. Myrtle married Ignatz Endl on September 18, 1942 in Stoughton, WI. He predeceased her on May 29, 2000.

Survivors include eight children, Jerome (friend, Linda Dampier) Endl of Janesville, WI; Germaine (Richard 'Dick') Roeling of Burlington, WI. Florence (friend, John Jensen) Jones of Beloit, WI; Dorothy (Paul) Hertz of Delavan, WI; Barbara (Raymond) Vance of Beloit, WI; Margaret (Richard) Hoffman of Boyceville, WI; Elizabeth (Daniel) Flitcroft, of Delavan, WI; and Hazel (Roger) Schmidt of Elkhorn, WI; very special friend/daughter, Nancy Davis of Beloit, WI; sister, Lucille Wooley, of Belvidere, IL; twenty four grandchildren; many great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Her husband, parents, two grandchildren, Carl and Carol Roeling and one son-in-law, predeceased her.

NO MORE TEARS, NO MORE PAIN.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Mark Place officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Lake Geneva, WI. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
