John David Fisher, 85, of Beloit, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 4, 1919 in Beloit, the son of Ralph and Nina Clare Paxson Fisher. John was a graduate of Purdue University. He was a WWII veteran serving in the European Theatre, U.S. Army Field Artillery. John married Ingrid Ann Carlsson on April 25, 1942.

John was employed by Beloit Box Board Company for 32 years serving as President for many years before retiring in 1985. He was a former member of the Beloit Police and Fire Commission and a former Trustee of Beloit Savings Bank. John was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and foundation board.

Survivors include his wife, Ingrid Ann Fisher of Beloit, WI; two daughters, Ann (Joseph) Chamberlain of Caledonia, IL and Sara (John) Martinson of Galena, IL; five grandchildren, Andrew (Jenny) Chamberlain of Durand, IL, David (Melodie) Chamberlain of Loves Park, IL, Erik Chamberlain of Janesville, WI, Daniel Martinson of Galena, IL and Teresa (Keith) Daniel of Rice Lake, WI; three great grandchildren, Damen Daniel, Zachary Daniel and Justin Chamberlain; a special niece and nephew, Sarah and Peter Carlsson.

He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Charles Paxson Fisher and Ralph Paxson Fisher.

Special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Gold at the Beloit Clinic.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with the Reverend Erik Jelinek officiating. Private burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be given in his name to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI.

Maria L. Flores, 76, of Beloit, WI, died peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2004 in Beloit Memorial hospital.

She was born May 25, 1928 in La Luz, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Carmen and Constancia Jimenez Flores. Maria married Jose Arreguin in Mexico. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit, IL.

Survivors include her son, Matias (Marta) Arreguin of Beloit, WI; three sons and one daughter in Mexico; one sister and many relatives in Mexico.

She was predeceased by her parents and husband.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2004 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Ricardo Hernandez officiating. Burial will be in La Luz, Municipio De Salva Tierra, Salvatierra Guanjato, Mexico. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home.

Robert D. Fink, 72, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 in his home with his loving family gathered around him.

He was born May 23, 1932 in La Crosse, WI, the son of Walter and Clara Rudd Fink. Robert graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1950. He married Beula Lunde February 16, 1952 in Brodhead, WI.

He served in the United States Navy Reserve for four years. Robert was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #191 in Beloit, WI, South Beloit American Legion Holtz-Hirst Post #288, AMVETS and St. Paul'fs Lutheran Church. He worked as a Pattern Maker for 44 years and then at General Motors until his retirement in 1993.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Beula; his three sons, Brian Fink of Beloit, WI, Brent (Tana) Fink, of Beloit, WI, and Larry (Dawn) Fink of Coon Rapids, MN; his three daughters, Shelly (Steve) Allen of Beloit, WI, Tamara (Michael) Austin of Beloit, WI, and Rene" (Roger) Holmes of Rockton, IL; 13 grandchildren; his mother, Clara Copoletti of Belvidere, IL; sister, Lorraine (Richard) Babcock of Poplar Grove, IL; several nieces and nephews.

His father, Walter, twin brother, Roger and one sister Eloda Phelps, predeceased him.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Roger Elliott officiating. Burial will be held in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Kenneth W. Foat, 90, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, May 05, 2004 in his home.

He was born March 4, 1914 in New Chester Township, Adams County, WI, the son of Walter and Maryetta Kennedy Foat. He married Myrtle Foslin-Keesey on October 17, 1994. She predeceased him on December 4, 1999.

Kenneth was employed by Besly Bendix Corporation, retiring on January 11, 1980. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Audrey (Loren) Pickel of Spokane, WA, and Marie Mitchell of Loves Park, IL; son, Edward (Peggy) Foat of Snokomish, WA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Lillian Snoodie of Rockford, IL; former wife, Irene Jacobs; numerous nieces and nephews, special friends, Orrin Christianson of Delavan, WI, and Ken (LouAnn) Daniels of Beloit, WI; special care giver, Kathy Larson of Beloit, WI.

He was predeceased by his parents and Carrie Skogen-Foat.

Special thanks to all at Hospice for their special care and concern they gave Kenneth.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Mark Yates from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.

Marvin George Funk, 75, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 21, 1929 in Rockford, IL, the son of Oscar A. and Mary Zimmerman Funk. Marvin married Joanne E. Graves on January 28, 1950 in Beloit, WI. He was employed by Meyer & Margis Inc, retiring in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne of Beloit, WI; his children, Jerry D. (Debbie) Funk of Beloit, WI and Margaret J. Funk of Springfield, VA; grandchildren, Gary Funk, Heather Olson and Sabrina (Jason) Allen, great granddaughter, Abby Olson; two brothers, Walter (Shirley) Funk of Phoenix, AZ, and Leonard (Rae) Funk of Orfordville, WI; three sisters, Elta (Sid) Schultz of Fort Collins, CO, Jeanne Zierfuss of Beloit, WI and Leona (Bill) Huebner of Beloit, WI; sister-in-law, Maxine Funk; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, son, Jeffrey D. Funk, seven brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Ruth Lyons officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services in the funeral home.

Patricia A. Freitag, 70, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

She was born February 24, 1934 in Platteville, WI, the daughter of Donald and Lucille Norton Bellard. Patricia was a 1952 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. She married Duane T. Freitag on May 31, 1952 in the First United Methodist Church.

Patricia was the lunchroom supervisor at Aldrich Middle School for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, cooking and traveling.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Duane of Beloit, WI; four children, Dwight 'Tom' Freitag, Janice (Pete) Smith, Jeff (Teresa) Freitag all of Beloit, WI and Mike (Laurie) Freitag of Blue Mounds, WI; seven grandchildren, Melissa Freitag, Stacey Freitag, Darci Freitag, Kelea Smith, Kelsey Smith, Drew Freitag, and Jordan Freitag; one brother, Daniel (Eileen) Bellard; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Donna Heritage.

Memorial services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Ian Stirrat officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to the National Kidney Foundation.

Myrtle E. Foslin, 84, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, February 11, 2004 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

She was born February 15, 1919 in Plymouth Township, WI, the daughter of Anton and Bessie Swain Nelson. Myrtle was a 1935 graduate of Orfordville High School. She married Raymond Foslin on July 9, 1938 in Luther Valley Church.

Myrtle was employed by Eleanor's Beauty Manor, retiring in 1962. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Raymond of Beloit, WI; one son, Paul Foslin of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Christine (Randall) Kyser of Tallahassee, FL and Patrick (Pamela) Foslin of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Michael Kyser of Tallahassee, FL and Julia Foslin of Tampa, FL; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, son, Richard Foslin, three brothers, Ernest, Elmer and Joseph Nelson and one sister, Edna Brubakken.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Erik Jelinek officiating. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to Beloit Home Companion Registry, Beloit Regional Hospice, Our Savior's Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Support Center.

Roger D. Franze, 80, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 while residing at Huntington Memory Care, Janesville, WI.

He was born October 10, 1923 in Ryder, North Dakota, the son of Otto and Ida (Winge) Franze.

Roger was a 1941 valedictorian graduate of Washburn High School. He also graduated from the University of North Dakota as a member of the Tau Beta Kappa engineering fraternity and graduated with degrees in electrical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. Roger was a WWII veteran, enlisting in the Navy's V-12 program, and was commissioned as an ensign at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He attained rank of Lt. Junior Grade and remained in the Reserves until 1961. Roger married Mary Jo Bailey on April 16, 1955 in St. Peter Catholic Church, South Beloit, IL.

Roger was employed as an electrical engineer in the stateline area for many years. He was a member of the Rockford Men's Singers for a number of years and St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Jo of Beloit, WI; son, Robert (Nanette) Franze of Waukesha; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Erik; one brother, Donald (Dorotha) Franze of Auburn, CA; two nieces, Janet (Chuck) Thibideau and Suzanne (John) Barnhart both of California; three great nieces and one great nephew.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2004 in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 617 St. Lawrence Avenue, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Roger Elliott officiating and Fr. Jim Kuhn co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton, WI. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

Memorials may be given in his name to the University of North Dakota or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
