Dorothea Lanzendorfer, 96, of Beloit, WI, died Friday, September 3, 2004 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

She was born October 25, 1907 in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of Albert and Martha Rhode Barth. Dorothea was a graduate of Shaker Heights High School. She married George Lanzendorfer in May of 1937. He predeceased her on February 12, 2004.

Dorothea was employed by the National City Bank in Cleveland, Ohio for 15 years. She was a member of Avon Methodist Church and the Avon Historical Society. Dorothea's joys were gardening and music. As an accomplished pianist, she gave piano lessons at her home and accompanied many students for musical contests in the Lorain County School districts. She also entertained residents at Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing with her musical abilities.

Survivors include her son, Glenn (Carol) Lanzendorfer of Beloit, WI; four grandchildren, Kathi (Steve) Tullis-Grant of Bozeman, Montana, Scott (Kathy) Lanzendorfer of Beloit, WI, Donna Haney of Janesville, WI and David Lanzendorfer of Eagan, MN; six great grandchildren, Nicole Pecor, Taylor Haney, Kate Grant, Emma Lanzendorfer, Anna Lanzendorfer and Amber Parr; a niece, Arline Moore of Chagrin Falls, OH

She was predeceased by her parents, brother, Albert Barth and sister, Helen Schlenker.

Funeral services will be 11:15 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004 in the Busch-Burmeister Family Funeral Chapels, 32000 Detroit Road, Avon, Ohio with the Reverend Dr. David Oliver officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmstead Ohio. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI 53511. Visitation will also be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Thursday in Busch-Burmeister Family Funeral Chapels.

Mary June Landis, 80, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, August 14, 2004 in her home.

She was born on February 9, 1924 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Ray and Bertha Anderson Stitt. Mary was a 1942 graduate of Beloit High School. She married Charles 'Pete' Landis on August 11, 1945 in Beloit, WI.

Mary was the first women hired into the engineering department of Beloit Iron works as a drafter. She later worked for Beloit State Bank, Heritage Bank and M&I Bank for 20 years, retiring in 1982 as a loan officer. Mary was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Phoenix Chapter #215, Willow Gold Mother's Club and the Quilting Circle at Luther Valley. Mary was a longtime supporter of her children's, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed many conversations with her many friends.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles 'Pete' Landis of Beloit, WI; two sons, Charles (Jackie Neil) Landis of Portage, MI and Michael (Karen) Landis of Brodhead, WI; three grandchildren, Mike (Anna) Landis, Gregorey (Jodi) Landis both of Orfordville, WI and Michael R. Landis of Portage, MI; three great grandchildren, Kari Landis, Carter Landis and David Landis; one brother, Harvey Stitt of Denver, CO; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Neva Ross Querry and Stella Stitt, three brothers, Arnold Stitt, Torrence Stitt and Norm Stitt.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2004 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Gene Van Galder officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum, Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to Beloit Regional Hospice or the Orfordville EMS.

Helen E. Lamendola, 87, of South Beloit, IL, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 in Fair Oaks Health Care Center.

She was born April 8, 1917 in Nashua, New Hampshire, the daughter of John and Martha Otto Kallas. Helen married Alfonso Lamendola on June 28, 1941 in St. Jude Catholic Church. He predeceased her on April 7, 1976.

Helen was employed by Fair Oaks Health Care Center for 19 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit, IL.

Survivors include her sons, Michelangelo 'Mick' (Sharon) Lamendola of Beloit, WI, John (Elaine) Lamendola of South Beloit, IL, Alfonso (Susan) Lamendola Jr. of Homer, AK and Ralph Lamendola of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Alonzo Lamendola, Christopher (Serina) Lamendola, Jason (Sherry) Lamendola, Joseph R. (Kim) Kace, Jon Lamendola, Marcus (Kerry) Lamendola, Kristine (Garrett) Sitenga, Nicholas Lamendola, Adam Lamendola, Angela Lamendola, and Ralph Lamendola Jr.; 17 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers.

Prayer services will be at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Peter Catholic Church with Msgr. Thomas C. Brady officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Rosary at 6:00 p.m.

A memorial in her name will be established.

Kathleen LaBundy, 90, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004 in her home.

She was born September 1, 1913 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of James E. and Edith Riley Crotan. Kathleen was a 1930 graduate of Beloit High School. She married Harold LaBundy on October 10, 1936 in St. Thomas Catholic Church, Walworth, WI. He predeceased her on November 13, 1979.

Kathleen was employed by the Beloit Public Schools for 12 years until her retirement in 1981. She was a member of the Grinnell Senior Center, Beloit Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the Catholic Women's Club. Kathleen was also a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Marian Guild.

Survivors include her children, James (Laura) LaBundy of St. Joseph, MO and Mary Ann Knueppel of North Port, FL; five grandchildren, Shelly Knueppel of Orlando, FL, Matthew Knueppel of North Port, FL, Ryan Udelhofen of Wonder Lake, IL, Jennifer LaBundy and Jeffrey LaBundy of St. Joseph, MO; one great grandson, Lucas.

She was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004 in St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Steven Kortendick officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the church.

Ethel C. Adams Lund, 74, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born on October 29, 1929 in LaFarge, WI, the daughter of Everett and Irene Campbell Lowrey. Ethel married Virgil H. Adams on October 18, 1947 in Viola, WI. He predeceased her on November 1, 1980. She later married Roland Lund on May 22, 1982 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on September 25, 1998.

Ethel was employed by Dutch Kitchen for 20 years and Dan's Restaurant, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #191 and a former member of the Beloit Eagles Club.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (James) Paul, Jackie (Glen) Spafford both of Beloit, WI and Ginger (Gary) Ewers of Pell City, AL; seven grandchildren, Tim (Julie) Paul, Jami (Trey) Taylor, Vanessa (fiancé Steve Underhill) Paul, Glenda (Craig) Spires, Carolyn (Greg) Smith, Sally Ewers, and John Ewers; 11 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ray (Char) Lowrey of Beloit, WI, Larry Lowrey of Wilton, WI, Otto Lowrey of Hillsboro, WI, Ralph Lowrey of California, Betty Richter of Antioch, IL, Opal Anderson of Sparta, WI, Jerry Lowrey of California and Genevieve Saltz of Peru, IN; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, brother, James Lowery, sisters, Linda Buggbe, Litta Vance and Freda Williams.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Reverend Ian Stirrat officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Joyce A. Levan, 71, of South Beloit, IL, died Sunday, February 15, 2004 in Fair Oaks Health Care Center, South Beloit, IL.

She was born April 3, 1932 in Boscobel, WI, the daughter of John and Olive Kephart Bachim. Joyce attended Muscoda High School. She married Kenneth Levan on August 27, 1955 in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI.

Joyce was employed by Freeman Shoe Company and taught at Beloit Vocational. She was owner and operator of an upholstery business for 20 years. Joyce was an avid gardener, reader and enjoyed ceramics. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and was active in the PTO.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of South Beloit, IL; children, Greg (Pam) Levan of Rockton, IL, Wes (Tammy) Levan of Rhinelander, WI, Kim Schnack of South Beloit, IL and Pamela Hansen of Stoughton, WI; 15 grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, Adam, Mike, Shane, Walker, Whitney, Vanessa, Catherine, Anthony, William, Nathan, Stacy, Chris and Stephanie; two great grandchildren, Starr and Jazmine; two brothers, Virgil (Etta) Bachim of Peoria, AZ and Anthony (Marlene) Bachim of Beloit, WI; three sisters, Gladys Fiedler of Janesville, WI, Alta (Robert) Hron of Madison, WI and Agnes (Clarence) Moriva of Beloit, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Gus Bachim and Arnold Bachim, one sister, Ardith Bachim.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004 in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Reverend Mark B. Yates officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

George A. Lanzendorfer, 94, of Beloit, WI., died Tuesday, February 12, 2004 at Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

He was born on January 15, 1910 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Eva Wellington Lanzendorfer. George graduated in 1929 from Ohio State where he played center for the Ohio State football team. He married Dorothy Ferrenberg she predeceased him in 1936. He later married Dorothea Barth in May of 1937.

George was employed as the Vice President of the PNC Bank in Lorain, Ohio. He was a member of the Avon Lake, Ohio Kiwanis for 40 years, the American Institute of Banking, and the Robert Morris Society.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothea; son, Glenn (Carol) Lanzendorfer of Beloit, WI; four grandchildren, Kathi (Steve) Tullis'Grant of Bozeman, Montana, Scott (Kathy) Lanzendorfer of Beloit, WI, David Lanzendorfer of Eagan Minnesota, and Donna Haney of Janesville, WI; six great grandchildren; sister, Verna Jean (Stan) Eskins of Grand Isle, Florida and niece Arline Moore of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2004 in the Avon Methodist Church, Avon, Ohio with the Reverend John Butchko officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the church. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, North Olmstead, Ohio. Visitation will also be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

Memorials may be given in his name to Avon Methodist Church.

George H. Loescher, 73 of Appleton WI, and formerly of Beloit, WI, passed through this life to Eternal life on Friday, January 9, 2004. He has a new dwelling place with the High King of Heaven, Jesus Christ, Lord of his life.

He was born on June 26, 1930 in Dixon, IL, the son of George and Mildred D. Helander Loescher. George married Mavis M. Meister on April 26, 1952 in Dixon, IL.

George graduated in 1948 from Dixon High School. He was a Corpman in the U. S. Navy attached with the U.S. Marine Corp, serving from 1948 to 1952. He spent his working years with Rockford Life Insurance, Liberty National Insurance and Reliable Life Insurance Company. He was a leader in his company, winning many awards as an outstanding insurance agent. George lived in Beloit, WI. for 30 years, where he attended the People's Church and later Rock Valley Chapel before moving north. He was a member of the Appleton Alliance Church in Appleton, WI.

The most important possession in this world was his family. He loved them with all his heart.

George was an avid antiquer, collecting Carnival Glass for nearly 39 years. He was considered an expert in his field, giving lectures and exhibits nationwide. George was presented the Award of Excellence for his contributions to the education and research of this beautiful glass.

He loved people and people loved him. He will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him'. Sadly we say farewell. Save us a seat at the banquet table.

Survivors include his wife, Mavis; four children, Grant R. Loescher of Kaukauna, WI, Randy (Kathy) Loescher of Beloit, WI, Robin R. (Bill) Osness of Beloit, WI, and Richelle R. Salamone of Kaukauna, WI: Eight Grandchildren, Jamie Loescher, Derek Loescher, Sarah Loescher, Erin (Jason) Dezwarte, Stefany (Danny) Yeager, Reily Osness, Samuel Salamone and Seth Salamone; four great grandchildren, RaeAnna, Dakota, Abby and Gracie; one sister, Marilyn (Jack) Bodmer of Dixon, IL; one brother, Eldon (Doreen) Loescher of Stillwater, MN.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m.Wednesday, January 14, 2004 in the Rock Valley Chapel, 2780 Shopiere Road, Beloit, WI. with Pastor Greg James, Pastor Wendell Boyer and Pastor Dick Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

Memorials may be given in his name to Theada Care at Home Hospice, Appleton Alliance Church, Rock Valley Chapel or The Gideons.
