ROBERT “Booby” PHELPS, 73, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, August 31, 2003 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

He was born May 15, 1930 in Beloit, WI, the son of Calvin and Amy Keiser Phelps. Robert was a graduate of South Beloit High School. He married Eloda Fink on September 29, 1956 in Central Christian Church, Beloit, WI. She predeceased him on January 1, 1999.

Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Korean War. After the war he went to work for the Milwaukee Railroad. Robert retired from the Byron Nuclear Plant as a Millwright. Robert loved his land, farm and enjoyed hunting in Montana. He attended Church of Christ in Janesville, WI.

Survivors include his son, Robin (Paula Anderson) Phelps of Loves Park, IL; daughter, Sheryl (Steve Ramstedt) Struse of Machesney Park, IL; uncle and aunt, Harold and Donetia Bryngelson of Minnesota; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Buela) Fink of Beloit, WI, and Roger (Joan) Fink of Janesville, WI; one sister-in-law, Lorraine (Richard) Babcock of Poplar Grove; lots of loving nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Rockford Rescue Mission.

LAURA De FALCO PANN, 56, of So. Beloit, IL, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003 in her home.

She was born February 1, 1947 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Albert and Matilda Campo De Falco. Laura married Larry Pann on September 5, 1992 in Rockton, IL.

She was a very creative person with a lot of hobbies to include crafting, gardening, writing poems, playing the clarinet and the guitar. Laura had her own web page on the internet for a cancer support group. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in South Beloit, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; two stepdaughters, Marilyn and Marsha Pann; mother, Matilda De Falco of South Beloit, IL; brother, Mauro (Marsha) De Falco of Roscoe, IL; brother-in-law, Robert Pann; three nephews, Michael De Falco of Wonder Lake, IL, John E. (Carol) Shanks of Rockford, IL, James A. (Tonya) Shanks of Rockford, IL; five great nephews and one great niece; aunt, Laura Hanson of Washington, NC ; several cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Albert De Falco; one sister, Catherine Easton, maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003 in the St. Peter Catholic Church 620 Blackhawk Blvd, So. Beloit, IL, with Msgr. Thomas C. Brady officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday in the church. Burial will be held in Floral Lawns Shrine of Memories Mausolum, South Beloit, IL. Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

MYRA YVETTE PARTRIDGE, 84, of Beloit, WI, died Sunday, April 20, 2003 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 11, 1919 in Slayton, MN, the daughter of Luther Howard and Matilda Jane Parsley Holman. Myra married Walter Platt Partridge on July 22, 1942 in Chicago, IL. He predeceased her on October 29, 1977.

Myra was employed by Freeman Shoe Company, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Salvation Army, Grinnell Senior Center, the Sand Castle and the First Assembly of God.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Melchor) Blanco of South Beloit, IL; 4 grandchildren, Debbie Wittwer of Florida, Donald (Carrie) Wittwer of Beloit, WI, Duane Wittwer Jr. of South Beloit, IL, David (Wendy Roberts) Wittwer of Freeport, IL; 9 great grandchildren; and one nephew.

She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Howard Holman and Gordon Holman.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Craig Ruesch officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Nina E. Quackenbush, 80 of Beloit, WI died Friday, April 09, 2004 at Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born February 11, 1924 in Ladysmith, WI. Nina was the daughter of Claude M. and Lota L. Nelson Holloway. She married Ray Quackenbush on June 24, 1945 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on April 14, 1969. Nina was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Steele of Beloit, WI; Gloria Mitok of Beloit, WI; two granddaughters, Kelly and Tricia Mitok of Beloit, WI and one sister, Flora (Harlyn) Erickson of Beloit, WI; five nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews.

Her parents, one brother, Elmer Holloway, and nephew Jack Papazian, Jr. predeceased her.

Nina was a very loving generous person who enjoyed taking care of others, especially children and the elderly in their homes.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI with the Chaplain Donna Rasmussen, (Nina’s niece) officiating. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, 2004 from 12:00 Noon to time of service at the funeral home.

Raphael F. Qualiza, 55, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, February 17, 2004 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 16, 1948 in Beloit, WI, the son of Raphael Joseph and Mildred Poggetti Qualiza. Raphael was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. He attended the University of Wisconsin Rock County for two years. After college Raphael went to Boston, MA where he drove a taxi cab and managed a delivery service. When returning to the Beloit area, Raphael was employed by Browns Mink Farm for 8 years, Call Me a Cab and Wisconsin Pretzel.

Survivors include his sister, Barbara (Francis) Peck of Beloit, WI; nephew, Steven (T.J.) Peck of Beloit, WI; cousins, Virginia Kramer and Joanne Classick.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Jim Kuhn officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the funeral home.

HAZEL C. QUINN, 66, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, June 12, 2003 in her home.

She was born December 14, 1936 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Harold and Stella Seabecker Quinn.
Surviors include her one son, Michael (Lauren) Wright of Beloit, WI, two daughters, Victoria (Edward) Williams and Pamela (Mark) Weisburg both of New Jersey; four grandsons; one granddaughter; one great grandson; one brother, John Quinn of Green Bay, WI; three nieces; two nephews and many friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harold and Stella Quinn, and one sister, Mary Lou Tilley.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June16, 2003 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. There will be no visitation.

Mario “Mike” Rallo, 53, of South Beloit, IL died Friday, March 18, 2005 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born February 16, 1952 the son of Anthony and Pauline Bilardello Rallo, Sr. Mike was a 1970 graduate of South Beloit High School. He married Susan P. Bryce on April 8, 1972 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in South Beloit, IL.

Mike was the owner and operator of Tony’s Standard Service Station in South Beloit, IL for 30 years. For the past three years he was the owner and operator of Big Pine Lake Camp in Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada. Mike was a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church, South Beloit Businessmen’s Club, member of the South Beloit Fire Department, and earned the rank of Captain at the Harlem Roscoe Fire Department.

Survivors include his loving wife, Susan; son, Joseph Rallo of Chicago, IL; daughter, Patricia (Ryan) Brawner of Bartlett, IL; father and stepmother, Anthony “Tony” (Lois) Rallo, Sr. of South Beloit, IL; sisters, Paula (Rusty) Meyers of Beloit, WI, Carol (David) Brockman of South Beloit, IL, JoAnn (Andy) Moschea of Lincolnshire, IL; brothers, Peter (Tammy) Rallo of South Beloit, IL, Anthony (Donna) Rallo, Jr. of South Beloit, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was predeceased by his mother and grandparents.

Prayer services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2005 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Jerome Koutnik officiating. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum, Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2004 with a Rosary to be recited at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

A memorial will be established in his name at a later date.

John A. “Jack” Redican, 80, of Beloit, WI, formerly of Belvidere, IL, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.

He was born July 14, 1924 in Freeport, IL, the son of Frank A. and Susie Lous Redican. John was a graduate of Belvidere High School. He was a veteran of WWII serving from 1942 until 1949 in the United States Navy. John married Delphia “Dale” Redden on September 1, 1943 in Kahoka, MO. She predeceased him on February 6, 1995. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in South, Beloit, IL

Survivors include three daughters, Jacqulyn Frank of Beloit, WI, Susie Graham of Beloit, WI, and Marcia (Calvin) Lunsford of South Beloit, IL; one son, John “Dale” (Bonny) Redican of Rockford, IL; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was predeceased by his wife, parents, and brother, Frank Redican.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 12, 2005 in St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Jerome Koutnik officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2306. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI 53511 with a Rosary at 8:00.

Velma D. Rayner, 74, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 22, 1930 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Frank and Mildred Carruthers Boss. Velma was previously married to Kenneth Campton Sr. She later married Lawrence Arnold Rayner on June 16, 1966 in Beloit, WI.

Velma was employed by Freeman Shoe Company, Adams Korn Kurls, Admirals and formerly by Rock Haven as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of North Love Baptist Church in Rockford, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence A. Rayner of Beloit, WI; three sons, Kenneth “Kenny” (Iris) Campton Jr., Denny Campton both of Beloit, WI, and Larry (Bobbi) Campton of Rockton, IL; eight grandchildren, Lisa (Eric), Heather (Eric), Sarah (Anthony), Melanie, Paul (Crystal), Jennifer, Andy (Nicole) and Krissy; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly LeVigne of Monticello, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Barbara and Joanne.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2005 in the Second Congregational Church with the Reverend Douglas Gray and Ernest Wayne Rayner officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Visitation will also be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Friday in the church.
