Patricia Ann Shaw, 67, of Yuma, AZ and formerly of Beloit, WI, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2005 in Yuma, AZ.

She was born April 17, 1937 in Readstown, WI, the daughter of Alvin and Charlotte Wood Drake. Patricia graduated from Readstown High. She married Modrel Shaw on February 18, 1956 in Dubuque, IA.

Patricia worked at Freeman Shoes, Beloit Corporation and Colt Industries before retiring in 1995. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Modrel; son, Brian Shaw of Temecula, CA; daughter, Cheryl (Brent) Holloway of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Brenda Shaw of Janesville, WI and Brent Holloway Jr. of Beloit, WI; one brother, Merlin (Barbara) Drake; three sisters, Elizabeth Akright, Alberta (Bernard) Clements, and Ruth (Marc) Hopkins; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Rhonda Shaw, sister, Lois (Dale) Phillips and brother-in-law, Charles Akright.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2005 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Gene VanGalder officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Rosemary “Rosie” Siebel, 69, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, February 3, 2005 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.

She was born on April 25, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Charles J. and Alice Bielick Piatt. Rosie was a graduate of St. Mary’s Spring’s Academy, Fond du Lac, WI. She married Charles Siebel on April 6, 1963 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on May 5, 2004.

Rosie was employed by Wisconsin Power & Light, Avon and the Girl Scouts. She worked for the city polls and the Republican Party. Rosie was always volunteering throughout the city. She was very generous to the many needs of this community as well as the world. Rosie was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Marian Guild.

Survivors include her children, Donald Siebel, Steven (Carolyn Hayford) Siebel both of Beloit, WI and Cynthia (Michael) Cregan of Winnebago, IL; one granddaughter, Amber Siebel; one sister, Alice (Ray) Luttig of Beloit, WI.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Richard Piatt.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2005 in St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Steven Kortendick officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with a Scripture Service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will also be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her name.

Carol Jean Sailing, 68, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 31, 1936 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Joseph A. and Grace Lamb Knipprath. Carol was a graduate of South Beloit High School. She married Gerald Sailing on May 10, 1957 in the First United Methodist Church, Beloit, WI.

Carol was formerly employed by the Western Union, Club 88 and various waitressing jobs. She was a member of Afton Community Church. Carol enjoyed spending time at home with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Gerald; two children, Brian (Jodi) Sailing and Tanya (Jeff) Faber both of Beloit, WI; grandchild, Jordon Faber; step grandchildren, Carie Faber, Cory and Matthew Nemetz; nieces, Bonnie (Duane Thomas) Crabtree of Beloit, WI and Judy Finley of Colorado; several other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Eleanor “Shaw” Roraff and Josephine Rouse, one niece, Sandy Casto and one nephew, Joseph Crabtree.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2005 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Richard Whippler officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Friday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the family.

Anna May “Maisie” Saladino, 80, of South Beloit, IL, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 in her home.

She was born February 11, 1924 in Jefferson, WI, the daughter of Edward and Julia Riechel Kortmann. Maisie married Vito Saladino on January 30, 1943 in Dubuque, IA. He predeceased her on December 27, 2000.

Maisie was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church, South Beloit, IL. She was an active member of the Beloit Lioness Club, worked with the Sand Festival for over 20 years and was an avid bowler.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca (Robert) Stone of South Beloit, IL and Frank W. (Carol) Saladino of Rockton, IL; three grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, W. “Korty” Kortmann; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and three sisters.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2005 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Norman Starks officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Clarence Herbert Siler Jr., 78, of Beloit, WI, died Monday, January 3, 2005 in his home.

He was born November 1, 1926 in Indiana polis, Indiana , the son of Clarence H. and Bertha M. Byers Siler Sr. Clarence was a 1944 graduate of Beloit High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Clarence married Susan Shaw on August 13, 1949 in Riverside, IL.

Clarence was employed by Beloit Corporation, retiring on May 1, 1986. He was a member of the Morning Star Lodge # 10 F & AM, Beloit Chapter #9 R.A.M., Beloit Council #1 R & SM, Beloit Commandry #6 KT, Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons, Madison Consistory of Scottish Rite Masonry, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where he served on the Vestry and was an usher and reader.

Survivors include his wife, Susan S. Siler; children, Mark (Jackie) Siler of Seattle, WA, Steven (Christine) Siler of Lake Geneva, WI, Shirley (Jeff) Foote and Carol (Kent) Galovich both of Austin, TX; grandchildren and step grandchildren, Chelsea Siler and Drew Siler of Seattle, WA, Aeron Walton of Missoula, MT, Jenny Walton of San Diego, CA, Ryan Siler and Brent Siler of Lake Geneva, WI, Shelby Siler of Clinton, WI, Jennifer Helfer of Seattle, WA, Angela Buzzelli of Lake Geneva, WI, Zach Davis of Popular Grove, IL, Christopher Foote of Austin, TX, Luke Galovich and Shaun Galovich both of Austin, TX; great grandchildren, James Buzzelli, Julianna Buzzelli and Jackson Helfer; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Stanley Smith of Le Claire, IA; nephews, Greg Smith of Amana, IA, Duane Smith of Le Claire, IA and Jeff Smith of Le Claire, IA.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2005 in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with a Masonic service at 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Kennard L. Steinmetz, 93, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, December 25, 2004 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 20, 1911 in La Farge, WI, the son of Otto and Elsie Kenworthy Steinmetz. Kennard married Lela I. Wilson on April 23, 1933 in La Farge, WI.

Kennard was employed by Fairbanks Morse Company, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Fairbanks Morse Quarter Century Club and New Hope United Methodist Church. Kennard was a trustee in the Evangelical United Brethren Church. He was also a volunteer at Grinnell Hall Senior Center.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Lela; children, Wilma Steinmetz of Janesville, WI and Stan (Nancy) Steinmetz of Beloit, WI; daughter-in-law, Sharon Steinmetz of Evansville, WI; six grandchildren, Sherri (Dale) Obee of Concord, NC , Lorri (Michael) Philyaw, Tammi (Don) Rusie both of El Cajon, CA, David Stout of Charlotte, NC , Lyndon Stout of Washington and Kevin (Hannah) Steinmetz of Madison, WI; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Koletta Steinmetz of La Farge, WI and Alma Steinmetz of Janesville, WI; two nieces, other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Nettie Tillou, son, Larry Steinmetz, two brothers, Clarence and Durward Steinmetz.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2004 in the New Hope United Methodist Church 2345 Prairie Avenue, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Jo Bierer officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be given in his name to New Hope United Methodist Church.

Everett Eugene Stevens, 70, of Clinton, WI, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 as a result of an automobile accident on Hwy B in Walworth County.

He was born January 26, 1934 in Sharon, WI, the son of Frank and Della Wincapaw. Everett married Virginia Tucker on September 27, 1970 in South Beloit, IL. She predeceased him on May 24, 2001.

Everett was the owner and operator of Pioneer Trucking.

Survivors include son, Larry Eugene Stevens of Verona, WI; son, John (Sandra) Stevens of Roscoe, IL; daughter, Della (Scott) Dehmler of West Palm Beach, FL; son, Tanhar (Linda Kiss, fiancée) Stevens of Jackson, WI; daughter, Amy (Mike) Schendel of Cashton, WI; daughter, Rebecca Griffin of Chicago, IL; 20 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Johnson of Janesville, WI and Darlene Higgins of Marengo, IL.

He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Laverne, Frank, Ernest; and a sister, Eleanor Ahlert.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2004 at Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Loren Rice officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Dianne Ranee Stanley, 64, of Beloit, WI died Friday, December 10, 2004 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was born October 7, 1940 in San Francisco, CA, the daughter of Rex and Lorraine Elston Giersdorf. Dianne was a 1958 graduate of South Beloit High School. She married Thomas R. Stanley on December 27, 1957 in Rockton, IL.

Dianne was employed at Beloit Memorial Hospital for 43 years until her recent retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Beloit Women of the Moose Chapter #56, and The Red Hat Society. Dianne enjoyed baking, cards, entertaining and trips to the casino.

Survivors include her husband, Tom of 46 years; son, Tom (Carla) Stanley Jr. of Beloit, WI; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Engebretson of Beloit, WI, and Amy Stanley of Beloit, WI; mother, Lorraine (Gordon) Berger of Janesville, WI; grandchildren, Ian Engebretson and Johnathan Stanley; brother, Gary (Jeanne) Giersdorf of Bend, OR; sister-in-law, Donna Buckner of Basehor, KS; a niece and several nephews; aunts and uncles; special friends; and her beloved critters, Mack and Sophie.

She was predeceased by her father, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Our Lady of Assumption Church with Father Gary Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will be at Grove Cemetery in Center Township. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14 at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.
