Lynette Harding Williamson, 41, of Beloit, WI, departed this earth for peace with her beloved Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2004 after a lengthly illness.

She was born September 18, 1962 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Sandy (Nugent) Harding. Lynette attended Harlem Schools until her 9th grade. She then attended Christian Life High School and graduated from there in 1981. Her senior year she was honored with the Young American Award. Lynette received her first kidney transplant in September of her junior year and then missed the rest of the year. She had tutoring from Mr. Ducett from Christian Life High School and was able to rejoin her class the falling year. Lynette always had a big smile that would light up the world around her, even if she was having a bad day, and most of the time only those closest to her would even know how much that smile was costing her. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Her story and triumphs touched so many people who didn’t even know her except by word of mouth and the internet prayer line. Throughout the long years with health battles, she never doubted that God was with her, even after 90 surgeries. Lynette married Dennis Williamson on November 5, 1988 and after a few years moved back to Beloit. When it became apparent she could no longer work, she became a foster mom. She said “that even if she wasn’t much good for anything else, she could love these little ones who were abused or abandoned.” When that also ended after another bout of bad health, she started babysitting in her home and of course became attached to those children and they to her. She always felt she had to contribute in some way to the family income.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Beloit, WI; children, Derek and Amanda; her parents, Ray and Sandy Harding of Rockton, IL; one sister, Barb (Tim) Schutt of Machesney Park, IL, one brother, Mike (Ruth) Harding of Beloit, WI; special nieces and nephew, Libby, Alexandria and Raymond; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved very much.

The entire family wishes to express our eternal gratitude to Pastor Mike Elias for always being there for us since the very beginning back in 1979.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Clyde Nugent and Virginia Krieser, step grandfather, Lawrence Krieser, paternal grandparents, Jim and Grace Harding.

She will be missed but always loved by everyone, but we know that now at last she is at peace and no longer in pain.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2004 in the Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Dan Qualls officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
