Loretta M. Ruechel
Loretta M. Ruechel, 76, Oshkosh, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at the Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. She was born in Van Dyne on April 2, 1924, the daughter of Harold and Meta Potratz. On May 5, 1950, she married Edgar Ruechel, Oshkosh. He preceded her in death in 1981. Loretta had been a longtime resident of Algoma and had been employed by the Algoma State Bank. She had also been an active member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Rankin, and belonged to the Ladies Guild, and church choir. She enjoyed being a member of several card clubs. Loretta moved to Oshkosh in 1984, but continued to be close to friends in Algoma. She joined Immanuel Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, in 1985 where she was still a member. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Ruechel, Oshkosh; a son, Tom Ruechel, Algoma; a sister, Lorea Jack Ruppel, Arvada, Colo.; a brother, Oliver Potratz, Oshkosh; and a granddaughter, Jessica Ruechel, Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by a sister, Orabella Bonnett; and by a grandson, Tyler Ruechel. Her funeral was held Saturday, Sept. 23, at 3 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jan Eggert officiating. Burial was in the Rankin Cemetery. Family and friends called at the church on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral. The Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home assisted the family.

Doris Evans Grady
Doris Evans Grady, 98, a resident of The Fountains of Kewaunee, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000. She was born Sept. 22, 1902 in Salem, the daughter of John and Emma Gaines Evans. She was married Sept. 27, 1924 to the late Edwin P. Grady, dentist, formerly of Saukville, and resided in Kewaunee all her married life. Mrs. Grady was a graduate of Mary Bradford High School, Kenosha, and a graduate of the Milwaukee Normal State Teachers College, primary course. She studied voice with Lucille Meusel of Green Bay and performed in many concerts. She originated and directed the Golden Tones, a senior citizen singing group in Kewaunee, for several years. She was a member of the Sturgeon Bay Christian Science Church. Mrs. Grady enjoyed singing and teaching Sunday School and kindergarten, community volunteer service with the Girl Scouts, Women's Club, and Fine Arts Club, as well as world travel and sharing her experiences through slides with church, school and community groups. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Edwin Gajewski, Orlando, Fla.; and a son, David Hildy, Kewaunee; grandchildren, Wendy Gajewski, Orlando; Beth Kurtis Partain, De Pere; Paul Donna Grady, Port Washington; and Kristin Dale Mitchell, Green Bay; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Jason and Michelle Partain; Rebekka, Dana and Breanna Grady; and Benjamin and Katherine Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward Evans. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee, with Pastor Bruce Pratt of the Kewaunee Congregational Church officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, with the service at 2 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Sturgeon Bay Christian Science Church, the Kewaunee Community Congregational Church Building Fund or the Gideons International. In addition to her family, music and singing were an important part of her life. Everyone will remember her for her beautiful countenance and cheerful ways.
Doris' family wishes to extend sincere thanks and love to those who became her extended family in the past several years. To the staff at Silver Leaf Manor and The Fountains, especially Bridget, who extended her love in so many ways. Also thanks to Dr. Zenner for his wonderful care and support and to the Unity Hospice for their help.

Ida Pearl Stubbs
Ida Pearl Stubbs, 102, of Wabeno, went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2000. Pearl was born on September 6, 1898 in Indiana to William and Elizabeth Morgan Lees. She married Walter Stubbs on Septem ber 24, 1916. The couple moved to a farm, which they affectionately called "Belly Acres", outside of Wabeno in 1922. Pearl began playing the piano for church services at the age of 14 and continued to praise the Lord with the piano until she was in her 90's. She enjoyed gardening and canning the produce. For her pastime she loved to crochet, especially a bookmark Cross which she gave to 100's of people. Survivors include three daughters, Pauline George Lundeen, Laona; Georgia Tuell, Pulcifer, WI; Alice Weller, Mountain; 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren; 70 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Laura, Mae and Ruth; one brother, John; one great-grandson and twin great-great-grandchildren. Visitation was from noon until the time of the service at 3 p. m. at the Bethel Baptist Church, Wabeno, WI on Monday September 25. Suminski Funeral Home, Wabeno in charge of arrangements.

Rose June Miller
Rose June Miller, 87, Menominee, Mi, a resident of Menominee Care Center for two years, died Sunday, September 24, 2000 at Bay Area Medical Center. The former Rose Noha was born June 9, 1913 in Menominee. She married Albert Miller in 1931; he preceded her in death in 1985. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, an active member of the Senior Center in Menominee and a former member of Bohemian Hall. She worked at Schloegel's Restaurant in Marinette. Rose is survived by three daughters, Leona Leo Yelle of Green Bay; Marjorie 'Marj' Thomas Wentworth of Manitowoc and Betty Ronald Poradek of Stephenson; one son, Alfred Elaine Miller of Green Bay; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren; five brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2000 at 6 p.m. at Cadieu Funeral Home, Menominee. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of service. The Rev. Phil Towsley will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
A memorial fund has been established.

Harold L. 'Dub' 'Hotchie' Campbell
Harold L. 'Dub' 'Hotchie' Campbell, 73, of Oconto Falls, died Saturday, September 23, 2000 while fishing at Butternut Lake in the Town of Hiles. He was born to the late Harry and Effie Mays Campbell December 24, 1926 in Middle Inlet, WI. Harold married the former Nancy LeFevre July 14, 1951 at Grace Lutheran Church of Oconto Falls. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was Assistant Scoutmaster of the Oconto Falls Boy Scouts Troop number 1024 for many years. Harold was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Oconto Falls. Surviving family members include his wife, Nancy; his children, John Janet, Shawano; Judith David Brevinski, Oconto Falls; Debra Dave Wilmot, Smiths, AL; Dean Joan, Beaver; Dennis Linda, Green Bay; Donald, Green Bay; Dan, Oconto Falls; five granddaughters, five grandsons, and one great-grandson; one brother, Robert, Green Bay; one sister, Ethel Porfilio, Crivitz; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Campbell, Green Bay; Sharon Tom Benedum, Green Bay; Jean Noel, Sussex; and one uncle, William Perneil Mays, Crivitz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry, Jr., Richard, William, and George, and one grandson, Wayne Anthony. Friends may call at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, Tuesday September 26, 2000 from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Shaun McFarland officiaitng.

Wilbur (Bill) Beekman
Wilbur Bill Beekman, 78, 318 Adams St., Oconto died September 23, 2000 at a Green Bay hospital. He was born February 29, 1922 at Oconto to the late John and Marie Sauve Beekman. Bill graduated from Oconto high School in 1939. He attended tehcnical school to learn drafting and worked at Four Wheel Drive until the beginning of World War II. He entered the military and served with the 8th Air Force in Europe as a B-17 pilot. After the war he worked in Milwaukee as a Lithographer for a graphics firm for over 20 years until retiring. After moving to the Oconto area he worked at the canning factory at Gillett. Bill married Delia Lane on November 14, 1987. Bill was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Delia; a daughter, Judy Grebner, Milwaukee; stepdaughters Cindy Doug Zimmerman, New Mexico; Tina Tim Tibbits, Milwaukee; April John Kobus, Oconto; stepsons Ralph Chartrand, Milwaukee and William Debra Chartrand, Peshtigo; a brother, Gerald Lu Beekman, Oconto; two sisters, Theresa Lehman, Menominee, MI and Norine Bitetto, New York, NY; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by two sons, Norman and Skip; two brothers, John and Earl; two sisters, Marjorie and Catherine; two brothers-in-law, Maurice 'Buck' LeBreck and Dave Lehmann. Friends may call at Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, Milwaukee. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Emiline A. Wills
Emiline A. Wills, 89, a former Coleman resident died Saturday September 23, 2000 at Sharpe Care, Ltd. in Oconto Falls. The daughter of the late Adam and Louisa Swenty Will was born January 10, 1911 in the town of Beaver, WI. Emiline lived in Chicago, IL until her retirement and then moved to Coleman. She attended the Section Eight Baptist Church, Pound. Surviving are two sisters, Edna Adolph Kostreva of Oconto Falls and Ruth Walter Vanderbloomer of Crivitz. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters. Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 5 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ronald Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in the First Baptist Cemetery, Pound.

Clayton 'Clayt' Van Enkevort
Clayton 'Clayt' Van Enkevort, 67, Lakewood, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at home. The son of Aletta Thompson Van Enkevort and the late James Van Enkevort was born March 7, 1933, in Ashwaubenon. He married the former Marion Huben on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1952, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Howard. They lived in De Pere and Ashwaubenon prior to retiring to Lakewood in 1989. Mr. Van Enkevort was a housebuilder in Brown County since 1955 and was self-employed since January 1959. He was a past member of the Brown County Homebuilders Assn. Clay was an avid Packer fan, was a sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his wife were members of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Lakewood. He enjoyed spending time with his family in Lakewood, especially his wife and children, grandchildren and many, many friends. Survivors include his wife, Mary; eight daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Jim Schwartz, Howard; Jane and Randy Brice, Bellevue; Joan and Terry Coonen, Ashwaubenon; Nancy and Tom Bechle, School Hill; Bonnie and Bill Noel, Prescott; Linda and Steve Fonder, Ashwaubenon; Sharie and Dave Bechle, Ashwaubenon; Pam and Andy Anderson, Howard; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandson; Clay's mother, Aletta Van Enkevort, Lakewood; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Jenny and Ray Roffers, Hoffa Park; Judy and Bob Lewins, Lakewood; Lauren and Tom Van Gheem, Florida; Donna and Tom Garvey, Freedom. Survivors also include Mary's family, Clay's mother-in-law, Evelyn Huben; sister-in-law, Florence Harold Rentmeester; three brothers-in-law, Bob Huben, George Ambrosius and Merle Knaus. He was preceded in death by his father, James; brother, Harlan; half-sister, Marion Harrison; his father-in-law, Ben Huben; and two sisters-in-law, Doris Ambrosius and Patricia Knaus. Friends called at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth St., De Pere, on Sunday. Mass of Resurrection was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. James Baraniak, O.Praem., officiating. Entombment followed.
