Eleanor B. Mann, 94
Eleanor B. Mann (nee Kohler) of West Bend died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend at the age of 94 years.
She was born Feb. 9, 1905 in the town of Fredonia in Ozaukee County to the late Jospeh and Theresa (nee Fisher) Kohler.
Eleanor was a very giving person. Whenever someone would visit her at her home, or more recently at the Cedar Lake Health care Center, she would make sure that they wouldn’t go home empty handed.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families, and a dear friend, Barbara Finkler of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999 at Washington County Memorial Park
The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.

Norman R. 'Barney' Heideman, 79
Norman R. "Barney" Heideman of West Bend died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999 at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital of West Bend at the age of 79 years.
He was born May 3, 1920 in Wausau to the late George W. and Emma A. (nee Zink) Heideman. As a teenager, he moved to Milwaukee where he became employed at Harley-Davidson until entering the United State Army. After his discharge, he returned to Harley-Davidson for a short time and then was employed as an iron worker. In the late 1960s he settled in the West Bend area.
On April 17, 1981 he married Ruth Bloecher at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Barney enjoyed woodworking and was an active member of a local card club. He was a member of the International Society of Bridge and Structural Ornamental Iron Workers Local #8 AFL-CIO, Milwaukee.
Survivors include his wife Ruth; two daughters, Pamela (Rich) Just of New Berlin and Sharon (Arnie) Slaasted of Albuquerque, N.M.; two stepdaughters, Annette (Mark) Wenzel of Wauwatosa and Evea (Ron) Kind of West Bend; four grandchildren; the mother of his children, Grace Heideman of Milwaukee; one sister, Delores Weber of North Dakota; three brothers, George (Ruth) of Wausau, Harvey (Irene) of Muskego and Ralph (Nancy) of Wausau; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, 1999 at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend James R. Ziesemer officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Newburg. Visitation at the church only on Monday from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
Memorials to Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Threshold Inc. Sheltered Workshop are appreciated.

Edward R. Lassanske
Edward R. Lassanske of Hartford passed away Monday, Nov. 8, 1999 at the Hartford Care Center. He was 85 years old.
He was born Sept. 13, 1914 in Milwaukee to Otto and Amanda (nee Schulz) Lassanske, and married Marjorie Kroes on Jan. 31, 1939 at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
He is survived by a son, John of West Bend; two daughters, Jeanette (Berndt) Rohrpasser of Brookfield, and Joyce (Larry) Ojstrsek of Hartford; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a brother Ronald (Vivian) Lassanske of California. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie and two brothers, Karl and Paul.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Lassanske officiating. Family greeted relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
The family is served by Shimon Funeral Home.

Eldin B. Ebert, 75
Eldin B. Ebert, 75, of Campbells-port, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born Jan. 23, 1924, in the town of Osceola, to the late John and Alvina (nee Kutz) Ebert, and married Betty Flynn on Dec. 6, 1947, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Dundee.
They farmed together in the town of Osceola, and he also worked at Regal Ware Inc. in Kewaskum for over 35 years.
Eldin was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Dundee, and the 35-Year Club at Regal Ware.
Survivors include four sons, Edward (Sue) of Dundee, Dennis (Kelley) of St. Could, Jeff and special friend Colleen Shea of Manitowoc and Brian (Tammy) of Campbellsport; a daughter, Bonnie (Jim) Liegl of Iron Ridge; 13 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; three brothers, Carl (Helen) of Campbellsport, Dan (Darleen) of Fillmore and Bernard of Fond du Lac; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his wife on Feb. 5, 1994; a sister, Sally Backhaus; and five brothers, Louis, Elwyn, Elmer, Harold and David.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Dundee. Rev. Richard Schliewe will officiate, and entombment will follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park Fond du Lac.
Visitation at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport, will be Tuesday, from 4 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesday from noon until the time of services at the church.
Memorials are appreciated to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.

Thomas F. Gallob, 61
Thomas F. Gallob of Big Cedar Lake, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital in West Bend, at the age of 61.
He was born Jan. 22, 1938, in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Dorothy (nee Kroening) Gallob. While living in Milwaukee, he was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In 1973, he moved to Big Cedar Lake and on July 23, 1976, married Colleen Wendt in Milwaukee.
Tom was president of Gallob and Assoc. in West Bend, an officer and owner of Harris and Gallob Inc. in Belgium, and was a stockholder and board member of the Wisconsin Oven Corporation in East Troy. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Association of Manufacturing Agents (WAMA).
Survivors include his wife; four children, Terrilee (Dean) Hayhurst of Montgomery, Ala., Randy Gallob of Whittier, Calif., Lynn Gallob of Seattle, Wash., and Jodi (Paul) Schmidt of Shorewood; four grandchildren, Ben and Chad Hayhurst, Chelsea Hare and Sophia Schmidt; a sister, Carol (Bernard) Poupore of West Bend; his mother -in-law, Ellen Wendt of Seymour; a sister-in-law, Judy (George) Pokorny of Holland, Mich.; four brothers-in-law, David Wendt of Green Bay, Vernon Wendt of Great Falls, Mont., Dan (Pat) Wendt of Shorewood and Tim (Karen) Wendt of Tonka Bay, Minn.; niece and nephew, Noelle Poupore and Jeffrey (Sara) Poupore, both of West Bend; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Steve Norris of Northbrook Church in Richfield officiated, and burial followed in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Memorials to the University of Indiana , Indiana polis Cancer Research Center are appreciated by the family.

Wendy A. Nachreiner, 29
Wendy A. Nachreiner, nee Washa, of Hartford, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Wauwatosa, at the age of 29.
She was born Sept. 20, 1969, in Milwaukee to the late Arthur and Cheryl (nee Schuepferling) Washa, and married Steve Nachreiner on June 3, 1990, in Milwaukee
She graduated from Waukesha County Technical College, and was a registered nurse with Hartford Memorial Hospital, Hartford.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hartford.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Mark of Hartford; a sister, Kristen (Christopher) Flynn of West Bend; a brother, Andrew of Milwaukee; grandmothers, Elizabeth Washa of West Bend and Dorothy Schuepferling of Milwaukee; parents-in-law, Bob and Carol Nachreiner of Waunakee; a brother-in-law, Scott (Teri) Nachreiner of Milwaukee; a sister-in-law, Lisa (Ross) Cline of Virginia; aunts; uncles; cousins; and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her grandfathers, Arthur A. Washa and Howard Schuepferling.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home, Hartford. Pastor Arv Arveson will officiate, and inurnment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Joyce Marshall, 72
Joyce Marshall, nee Kalt, of Tamarac, Fla., formerly of West Bend, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at her residence, at the age of 72.
She was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Milwaukee, to the late John and Louise (nee bloom) Kalt, and married James Marshall on April 13, 1946, in Wauwatosa.
Following their marriage, the couple settled in the Milwaukee area. In 1960 they moved to a farm near West Bend where they lived until moving to Tamarac in 1983.
She was a former member of the Lt. Ray Dickop Post 36 American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; three children, John (Linda) of Ogema, Texas, Janet (David) Bath of Newburg and James W. (Diana) of Rib Lake; seven grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Marshall, David L. (Traci) Bath, Cynthia L. (Mark) Waraksa, Crystal, Tracy and James A. Marshall; a sister, LaJune Volmer of West Allis; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Don and Lloyd.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, at 8 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend. Fr. Jeff Haines will officiate with entombment Friday at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services.

Frank Lichon, 79
Frank Lichon of West Bend, died on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at the Hartford Care Center, Hartford, at the age of 79.
He was born April 23, 1920, in Poland to the late Stanislaw and Franciszka (nee Wilczek) Lichon, and married Natalia Kaminsky on June 29, 1946, in Floss, Bavaria, Germany.
Survivors include his wife; five children, Roman (Leigh Anne) of West Bend, Edward (Judy) of Port Murray, N.J., Christina Lichon of West Bend, Paul (Deborah) of Bothell, Wash. and Steven (Jill) of Westminster, Colo.; five grandchildren, a brother, Julian of Zary, Poland; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Bruno, and a sister, Eugenia Poramska.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 19, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, West Bend, with Fr. Michael Petersen presiding. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Threshold Sheltered Workshop or to the charity of the donor's choice.
The Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.
