Henrietta S. Bussey, 87
Henrietta S. Bussey, nee Heller, of West Bend, died Monday, Sept. 13, 1999, at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, at the age of 87.
She was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Montello, to the late Joseph and Anna (nee Bednarek) Heller, and married Dr. Arthur Bussey on Nov. 7, 1936, in Montello.
In 1943 the couple moved to Wauwatosa and in 1953 began spending their summers at Big Cedar Lake. They later transformed the cottage on Big Cedar to their year round home. The also spent time during the winters in Port Charlotte, Fla.
Her husband passed away on March 23, 1988.
Henrietta graduated from the Marquette University School of Nursing and was employed as a visiting public health nurse for the city of Milwaukee.
In the 1950s she served as president of the faculty at Marquette University.
Survivors include four children, Dorothy Zalewski, Robert (Edie) bussey and Judith Gorman, all of West Bend, and Mary (Gary) Votroubek of North Liberty, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Vicki Zalewski, David Zalewski, Laura Zalewski, Brian (Dora) Bussey, John (Susan) Bussey, Patrick Gorman and Angela Gorman; three great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Douglas and Kaleb; a sister-in-law, Annastasia Heller of Montello; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Mary Beth Bussey; a son-in-law, Charles Zalewski; two sisters, Gertrude Heller and Doris Heller; and a brother, Lawrence Heller.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Slinger. Inurnment of the cremated remains will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
The family will greet visitors at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
The Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, is serving the family.

Ronald R. Hackert, 71
Private services were held for Ronald R. Hackert, 71, who died on Nov. 10, 1999. Burial was at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg. Mueller Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Hackert was born July 15, 1928 in Milwaukee, son of Rudolph and Frieda (nee Behm) Hackert. He married Audrey Heberer on Sept. 3, 1949 in Wisconsin.
He worked as a mason for the Electric Compnay.
Survivors include: wife Audrey Hackert of Cedarburg; daughter Linda Hackert of Jackson; sons Scott (Jody) Hackert of Port Washington, Joel Hackert of Cedarburg and Eric (Christa) Hackert of Grafton; sister LaVerne (Lloyd) Blahnik of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren Ashley Hackert of Grafton, Cole Hackert of Port Washington, Cullen Hackert of Port Washington and Kyle Hackert of Grafton.
Further survived by other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Frieda Hackert.

Irene M. Schwichtenberg, 91
Irene M. Schwichtenberg, nee Koenings, of West Bend, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend, at the age of 91.
She was born May 25, 1908, in the town of Barton, to the late Jacob and Catherine (nee Bohlen) Koenings, and married Albert J. Schwichtenberg on Nov. 23, 1926, at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church.
Irene was a lifelong resident of the West Bend area, with the exception of when she and Albert lived on Somo Lake near Tomahawk from 1970 until returning to West Bend in 1988.
Albert passed away on June 15, 1991.
Irene was a member of the Christian Women's Confraternity at Holy Angels Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Janis (James) Wickert of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Schwichtenberg of West Bend; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were a son, Vern on Oct. 23, 1997; a brother, Ervin; and a sister, Gladys Krueger.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Church. Fr. Jerome Repenshek will be the presider, and burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until a prayer vigil at 7 p.m., and also Monday morning prior to the services.
Those who wish may give memorials to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund.
Irene will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We love you Mom.

Alice A. Arnold, 87
Alice A. Arnold, nee Connors, of Slinger, died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Friedenheim, Slinger, at the age of 87.
She was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Rockford, Ill., to the late John and Alice (nee McGrogan) Connors, and married Karl Arnold. He preceded her in death.
She worked as a registered nurse, and attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grafton.
Survivors include three sons, David (Barbara) of West Bend. Thomas of Grafton and James of Mayville; two daughters, Kathy Miles of Greenville, S.C. and Mary (David) Meiers of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 25, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grafton. Fr. Mike Barrett will officiate, and burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Grafton.
Visitation at the church only will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials of the donor's choice are appreciated.

Ronald D. Edgar, 66
Ronald D. Edgar, 66, of Boltonville, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999 at his home.
He was born Oct. 14, 1932, in Oshkosh, to the late Claire and Ethel (nee Christopherson) Edgar.
At a young age, he moved to West Bend and was employed in the West Bend area during his adult life.
On June 1, 1957 he married Virginia Garbisch at Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Scott.
Mr. Edgar served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1951-'55, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Randall of Boltonville and Steven (Terry) of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; two daughters, Tamala (Richard) Noll of Deerfield and Heidi (Charles) Hamilton of Kenmore, Wash.; a sister, Julienne Endlich of West Bend; five grandchildren, Aleah and Andrea Noll, David and Mark Hamilton and Rachel Edgar; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Douglas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, town of Scott. Rev. William Robinson will officiate, and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation at the church only will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum, is serving the family.

Betty J. Konrath, 73
Betty J. Konrath, nee Borchert, of Slinger died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at Hartford Memorial Hospital at the age of 73.
She was born Nov. 23, 1925 in Milwaukee to the late Edward (Clara Phippen) Noll and John (Viola Guetzke) Borchert, and married Eugene T. Konrath at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Slinger on June 14, 1947.
She was born in Milwaukee and raised in Germantown and graduated from West Bend High School. She taught for two years and was a bookkeeper for Konrath Bus company for over 25 years.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Peter’s Christian Mother’s Society and the First Women of the Slinger-Allenton Rotary Paul Harris Fellows.
Survivors include her husband; six children, Linda Konrath of Slinger, Brian (Julie) of Woodland, Wis., Peter (Ric Correa) of Milwaukee, Susan (David) Tulbert of Green Bay, Allen of Slinger and Julie (Kraig) Bahr of Slinger; seven grandchildren, Quita, Holly, Casey, Ericka, Kaitlin, Keith and Halie; great-grandchild Clyde; sister Peggy Merz of Waukesha, Sister-in-law Delores Ganz of San Antonio, Tex., special friend of the family Donna and other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one son, Glenn Konrath.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Slinger on Monday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Fr. Robert J. Bales will preside and interment will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials to the Williams Syndrome Foundation or St. Peter’s Catholic Church are appreciated.
The Phillip Funeral home of Slinger is assisting the family.

Ralph Fellenz, 63
Ralph Fellenz, 63, of Kewaskum, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at St. Joseph's Community Hospital, West Bend.
He was born June 28, 1936, in the town of Scott, to the late Edgar and Irene (Klein) Fellenz.
Mr. Fellenz served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was employed by Regal Ware Inc., Kewaskum, where he was a member of the 25-Year Club.
Survivors include two children, Phillip (Sue) of Kewaskum and Joan (Mike) Thelen of Campbellsport; two brothers, Edgar of Sheboygan and Russell (Carol) of Newburg; two sisters, Mardel (John) Lavey of Montello and Marilyn (Leroy) Heimermann of Lomira; three grandchildren, Fredrick, Terrina and Donaven Fellenz; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were a grandson, Andrew Phillip Fellenz and a sister, Mavis Krell.
Private funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at the Miller Funeral Home, Kewaskum. Cremation will follow.
Inurnment will be in Lutheran Memorial Park, Kewaskum.
